... I spent like two hours working on the Card of the Week and specifically put an example of Rainbow Neos vs. Macro Cosmos and he still doesn't get it.. He either didn't read the whole thing, or he didn't understand what I was talking about.. and if he didn't understand what I was talking about, which is explaining what wikia doesn't, how will he understand how/why it's like that?
It's that time again! that's right, it's time for this weeks Card of The Week! This week, we've chosen to talk about Macro Cosmos. a card that apparently has a confusing enough wording that someone doesn't get it! Now let's look at the card. If you haven't noticed already, there's really not much to talk about... but I'll try my best to make it as long has possible. First, let's look at the last sentence of the card; "any card sent to the graveyard is banished instead". For those of you who don't know, this translates to "any card(s) that would be sent to the graveyard is instead, banished" This means that any card effect that would send/discard card(s) to the graveyard as a cost cannot activate because the cost cannot be paid. Note: Costs have to be paid specifically as the card says. If Macro Cosmos is chained to the activation of a card that sends/discards a card(s) to the graveyard, the cards will still end up in the grave because costs are paid immediately after activation so even if Macro Cosmos is chained to such cards, the cost is still paid before Macro Cosmos resolves. Now for some examples..! VS. Looking at Kristya's effect, it says "If this face-up card would be sent from the field to the graveyard, it returns to the top of the deck instead". This means whenever Kristya is going to be send/destroyed and send to the graveyard, it goes to the top of the deck. It is unaffected by Macro Cosmos and the like because Kristya's effect makes it go directly from the field to the top of the deck when it's destroyed. Next, if you look at Rainbow Neos... VS. If you look closely at his effect, he says "to the graveyard;". Not only does he specifically say to send to the graveyard, his effect is a cost indicated by the ";" after graveyard. Whenever you see an effect that's worded similar to that of Rainbow Neos's effect, it will always be a cost. Cards that don't say "to", ";" and "." are not costs. (may be missing one more.) Now for cards that discard/send to the grave as an effect, they can still activate while Macro Cosmos is on the field because it is not to activate the effect itself. it is the effect. For example you can still activate the effect of Naturia Butterfly even though Macro Cosmos is active. VS. Though since it says "and" negate the attack, since it was not sent to the graveyard, it does not negate. Finally, the activation of Macro Cosmos can in fact be negated by cards that negate effects that special summon, even if you didn't choose to special summon with Macro Cosmos. VS. and that's the end of this week's.. Card of The Week! we hope to see you next time for other card ruling clarifications! Edit: Okay, I think I've fixed everything. For those of you with additional questions, post below.
VS. BLS: "I banish two dead monsters and plop myself on the field!" *trollface*
and that was the end of the duel arena and the beginning of the love arena 1.0!
...I think Sirius is. also, there are some cards that never got released in the TCG.
they aren't making new ones.. those are old.
Heroes: Sometimes. Light Based Decks: Sometimes. Lightswords: almost always. Sometimes. Edit: hmm.. maybe i'm thinking Twilight. but still, if you're running Lightsworns (who mill heavily) you could run some darks to run BLS and the like. Sangan proves to be one of the better splashable dark monsters, being both a searcher and food for BLS. For heroes, Sangan could be poly'd from the field so that's +1 and a fusion monster. and for the other light based decks, it might be nice having BLS around depending on what type of deck you're running.
You mean par- per.. something of darkness. I think he's a zombie type.. Edit: Patrician of Darkness.
I would say go for original 4000 LP, the same amount they use in the anime.
if Lyris's LP on Jaden is correct.. 12500-2100=10400.
Gah! *covers eyes and falls down* your cards are too big!
beat them using Verz.. though that's not saying much since they're Verz.
you write on your computer monitor? how strange. wouldn't that mess it up? or at least.. it'll be hard to clean up once you're done.
someone spoil me. what is his connection with Roxas?
I don't even know who "Ven" is...
2 Level 4 "Heraldry Beast" monsters Once per turn: You can target 1 face-up Xyz Monster your opponent controls; until the End Phase, this card's name and ATK become that monster's name and ATK, and it gains that monster's effects. Also, until the End Phase, the ATK of that target becomes 0 and its effect(s) is negated.
Correction. How many cards you have in your hand now? Can someone tell me? and me?* Also.. you and you?
Attention duelists. 'twas checking wiki for anything new about the twenty third SD. http://yugioh.wikia.com/wiki/Structure_Deck:_Roar_of_the_Sea_Emperor I'll also go ahead and point out a three card combo: Atlantean Roar to SS three level three water monsters and have Aegis of the Ocean Dragon Lord set to have them not be destroyed by battle next turn. Then during your next turn having Atlantean Dragon Poseidra in your hand or graveyard... the next part's obvious. You can Tribute 3 Level 3 or lower WATER monsters you control; Special Summon this card from your hand or Graveyard. When this card is Special Summoned by this effect: Return all Spell/Trap Cards on the field to the hand, and if 3 or more cards are returned by this effect, face-up monsters your opponent currently controls lose 300 ATK for each card returned. there is also the option of Xyz summoning if you don't have Poseidra. (I'm only using cards said to be in the SD or obviously I would have used threatening for the example instead of Aegis.) and that concludes my random post.
If summoning Rainbow Neos in three turns is amazing... What would you say if I summoned Rainbow Neos on turn one? Edit: Yes, I did that.
