Lestat sighed, and turned to look for John; he wanted to make sure the vampire wasn't too angry about this evening and that he wouldn't do anything rash. I hope I'm not interrupting anything... he casually sent to John, keeping his tone cool, sweet, and polite.
"I think I'll go find John," Lestat muttered kindly, always the gentleman. "But I'm sure I will see you again soon... we seem to have common... interests."
"I'm merely informing you," Lestat replied rather coldly. "I don't know a thing about you, monsieur. I've just realized that."
"I've not much to do now, actually," Lestat sighed. "I let that Angelyn girl go."
"He will protect her," Lestat informed. "This Van Helsing seems to be fond of her... more than the others he travels with."
"Not really," Lestat began, stepping out of the shadows and over to Will. "That hunter doesn't seem like someone to underestimate."
OOC: i hate the vampire armand for trying to kill my lestat! grrr...
Lesat faded back toward John and Will, trying his best not to let his hunger bother him enough to go and end Angelyn's suffering. She will find her way back, Lestat muttered to himself. And it's not my fault if he catches her again.
"As you wish, my dear," Lestat said politely, turning toward the trees and bowing. "But do not expect me to watch over you and make sure you get home. I've better things to do, unfortunatly."
"Are you sure?" Lestat asked. "It's a day's ride by horse from here and John will be back."
"Well, then," Lestat sighed. "What would you like to do? Look for her? Walk on your own... I don't suggest that... or I can take you myself. It's up to you."
"Of course not, dear," Lestat murmured. "Do not worry. It would be best if you just went back to Rome as fast as you can. Where is your horse?"
Lestat stopped and put Angelyn down gently. He sighed, trying to give her a smile. "Don't worry, petite fille," he soothed. "I'm taking you away from those that want to kill you. It was very unwise to show up on your own."
Lestat grinned. "As you wish, monsieur," he snapped, and, quicker than even he thought he could, he snatched Angelyn away from Beatrice and sped off into the darkness, back toward the city of Rome.
"Let him be, petit l'un," Lestat ordered Jinx softly, stepping out of the trees. "Don't make him harm you."
Dammit, Lestat swore, streaking after John. Edward, he began. I'm starting to think you should Hannah have the stupid girl.
Stupid boy! Lestat shrieked in Edward's head, not caring if he made the man scream or not. He left Will quickly, becoming the nearest shadow, practically flying at the speed he accelerated to. He's faster than you!
Lestat sighed, and then stopped. They're holding her, John, he snapped at the vampire. Just do it yourself already.
He's not even trying Lestat thought, a little worried. He tried to ignore the grumble in his stomach when his eyes fell on Angelyn.
"The boy's thoughts," Lestat explained politely, smiling. "Edward's making her stay. That's what I mean... L'homme difficile, vous n'êtes pas?" he muttered to himself.
