I CAN BE SUCH A SAP THAT'S IT NO MORE SAP THIS YEAR FEEL MY COLD HEART So today marks my tenth year on KHV. One fucking decade... I wanted to make a thread but I didn't want a THIRD reminisce thread, so I figured here would be perfect. And ya know, it's befitting. This thread has never had significant content, but it's always been significant content as a whole. That's kinda how I've interpreted my membership. I had no memes, no one big event, but I've always been here for most part and laughed with ya'll and that's way better in my book. I still remember when I joined- I got picked up by some guy named Tallian who took me under his wing. Very warm welcome and he even watched my bad AMVs. Immediately after, I got approach by Sara who told me to remove one of my four images in my sig. JOKE WAS ON HER THOUGH BECAUSE I MADE THEM ALL ONE IMAGE. LOOP HOLED. And that began my time of arguing with the staff and joking with the users and getting picked up my cliques here and there. Made some really close friends, and even started a website that got invited to E3 during the private years! Hell, I wrote an article on there that ended up more popular than Kojima's birthday on N4G (SUCK IT! YOU CREATED THREE OF MY FAVORITE GAMES!). I even got in my first relationship here and surrendered my anonymity. It all led to me leaving my teenage depression behind and kinda becoming who I am. The more things change, the more they stay the same, huh? New job, new address, and kinda pushing for new heights in my life. And yet I'm starting projects again, I'm in different groups and befriending different people, and I'm still here just always trying to make myself and everyone laugh. There are new people here important to me, and I'm getting close with users I never expected to get close with. I'm enjoying it. A lot. And I'm not going anywhere yet. This place holds so much of my history and, for now, some of my future. I have goals to accomplish here before I even consider that ten years might be too long. And if I'm being honest, I've been having the best time. Just a stupid Kingdom Hearts fansite though, right?
Some of us tried and got walled hard, but I'm sure those who haven't tried don't even know they owe someone an apology. Things kinda flow like that around here- water just goes under that bridge and we're back to laughing. You should know that fairly well by now.

Once you throw work on a resumé, you have a 1000% better chance than someone who's not in the industry already.
