"I'll stay with you and we can catch up with Takahiro. If I'm right he'll be there waiting for me." Maiko smiled at this. "If he is there you will give him a chance?"
Gharanth eyed the pendulum before rushing forward to her side. "Not so bad and I've almost healed. I wonder what will be next. I think I know due to the holes in the wall." Gharanth took off his back pack and threw it down the hall. Spears shot out of the holes. "How very old school."
Maiko helped Koza out of the house and supported him by putting his arm over her shoulder. "Lets get you back to the Plantation, though that is not a safe place and Kyo knows where it is."
"It depends on the weather conditions out at sea. We have food and a great island so don't worry and there is plenty of water. Tomorrow I'll explore further into the heart of the island. We might find caves or something then it will be like a camping holiday."
ooc: the windows are closed. Read the previous posts. She secured them and only unbolted the door which she rebolted on returning. Maiko nodded and tidied up. "I help you brother."
"Now lets get past the pendulum. If we time it right then we are fine. Once you are past, wait for me and under no circumstances go on alone."
"Of course, don't you? The ship had a tracker on it which pinpointed its progress and the signal was relayed by satellite back to the main office. When the ship sank the signal stopped so they have the last coordinates of the ship and when it sank. They will soon find us. The captain knew of the tracker because he complained when it was fitted as he thought we were spying on him. I shredded it as they were going to take action against him. Guess I'm not so sweet after all as I don't always do what daddy expects of me."
"I'm fine so don't cry. I have the nature orb remember. This is part of the test I think as it is not just a physical test but a psychological one as well. You have to let me get hurt each time. I can take it."
ooc: We are in a house with a bolted door. How did they get in? Maiko smiled at him sympathetically. Hope seemed to be the only thing they had left. "Once you feel strong enough we will go back to the barn and see how the others fared."
Gharanth sighed and held his side. The wound was already healing and he did not want Twilight to see it. Watching the pendulum he grinned. "Fancy a run?"
"If she really loved you she wouldn't. It's a girl thing and I know this. If she hunts you she doesn't really love you." Maiko checked the wounds and made some broth. "Here drink this and it will make you stronger."
"It's alright to be afraid. A lot has happened. A great lady called Eleanor Roosevelt once said that a woman is like a teabag. You don't know how strong she is until she is in hot water. I guess I'm stronger than most people think. I'm going to dress those wounds you have and I want you to rest and relax. They will be looking for us when we don't make port and the chances are they have noticed that the messages have stopped. We just need to sit tight and enjoy an impromptu camping holiday. You will have something to tell your grandchildren about."
Gharanth drew his sword and walked slowly forward. He knew that he would probably get hurt and possibly would not survive. Suddenly he pushed Twilight to the side as a huge pendulum hit him, stabbing into his side and throwing him against the wall. He slid to the ground groaning.
Maiko smiled. "That is ironic considering she lives off collecting bounties off other people, so that makes her a hypocrite. I don't really like her anyway. She is cold to others and selfish. She acts as if her life is the most important. I was scared and confused."
"I'm not sure, I've never been stranded before. I just adapt to the situation. Please call me Clarisse. I'm just not the panicking type I guess."
"I would imagine that everyone who has been here before has had terrible experiences. This is not a happy place at all. I do not this we will have a fun time here either. This is a testing ground, ancient and cold."
"Well I will never meet my real parents and my brother doesn't exactly like me so nothing really has changed. I'm considering going back to where I belong. It's not as if I know anything about this coro. Whatever path I follow I have no family or life that is stable. You will choose your own path when this is over and I will be left with nothing again. Doubtlessly you will run off with that bounty hunter."
"I will open them for you my lady. They look heavy." Gharanth pushed the doors open and waited for Twilight so they could enter together. "It looks empty though looks can be deceiving. I fear that there will be tests and booby traps here."
Clarisse studied the meat. "It needs a little longer. We don't want anyone to get ill. You rest there and watch it. You are doing a grand job. I think that you would make a brilliant chef."
"Magnificent isn't it? I wonder how long it took to build. I think we have to enter and face whatever is inside."
