Gharanth knew that she must be uncomfortable here though he had to admit to himself that he felt a thrill at the danger. "Never mind about what's ahead. I will get us through this."
Maiko had cried herself to sleep and was curled in a pile of straw.
Maiko curled on the floor of the barn and hugged her knees. She only had Koza left as family and her world was falling apart. She decided that she would avenge his death.
"Help Kyo. One death is enough and any more will break me. She has to live. Do you forgive him Koza?"
"He promised to put right the sins of the past and help me find the truth about what happened. He said he owed you a great debt. He wanted to be worthy in my family's eyes to marry me." Maiko collapsed crying.
Maiko just stared at him, tears streaming down her face. She was distraught beyond words.
Maiko stood silent and started to shake. She didn't know what to say. Running to the body she began to cry and clung to it. "It's not fair!"
ooc: He is going to die. Please let this storyline run. Takahiro couldn't hear them. He heard nothing and never would again. His last breath exhaled and he passed into the shadows of death.
Takahiro collapsed and lost consciousness. He slipped further into the darkness until he felt no more.
"No, you must keep it in case Kyo needs it. Let me save the rest of you. Now go, Kyo needs you. I will keep them away from you and give you time."
"Keep going. I will distract the demons so that you can rescue Kyo. Tell Maiko that I love her and that I'm sorry I broke my promise."
Takahiro moved in and attacked the demon that was stood with it's back to him. He realised that it was heavily armoured too late. It turned and spat acid in his face, blinding him and proceeded to run him through with a sword. He struggled to get to his feet.
Takahiro gestured for them to move into the the thickets. There was movement ahead and he guessed it wasn't wild animals. He knew that the next few moments would be critical.
"Well stop worrying and rest. I won't have you hurting yourself and opening your wounds. We are not there to help so we should just wait and see what happens."
"Then I suggest we proceed with caution as we don't want to scare them into doing something that might hurt Kyo. Stealth is the best option. I suggest we approach by slightly different routes."
Takahiro followed Neka, drawing his sword and preparing for battle. There was a real feeling of tension and the area was silent. No birds sang and the animals had all fled. "Something isn't quite right."
"I suggest that we move on as we are wasting time. Lets follow the trail to where they are."
That is really shallow and size doesn't matter if you care about each other. I have loads of friends who are couples that you would see as mismatched size wise and they are really happy. If he's nice and cares for you such things shouldn't matter. It is whats inside that matters, not what the shallow people look at, anyway looks can fade, but a good heart is important.
"Well I'm not a good tracker but there are signs of a track going further into the woods and it looks like one of the two people was struggling to get away. What happened here?"
"Nice trick. I hope to help you find Kyo if you will let me. It seems I have to make up for my past sins."
