Can we make it a rule that people are not allowed to quote long posts, or even quote a whole post unless there is a purpose?

People just quote a post and reply, and it starts to get annoying, I know you may be quoting something to reply to THAT PART of the post, but thats the only part needed in the quote.

Does this make sense, or am I just rambling?

Maybe I'm blind.

So, it's been maybe 3 weeks or a month since I posted on here. Obviously, thats because I haven't been here to do any posting. Yes, there is a reason, but if your not prepared to read sort of a long story, then don't read on.

So, it started on Thursday, January 10th, 2008.

I was on my way to school, we just got back to school on the Monday of that week, and I was riding my bike to school, living in Canada, its ALWAYS COLD (jk) and there was ice on the roads that day, and I was crossing an intersection, that had stop signs, not lights, it was a minor intersection. Anyway, as I approached it, I saw an SUV coming down the road to the right of me, but I went to cross anyway, and, it was just my luck to skid and fall from the ice, in the middle of the road. So, the driver of the SUV slammed on its brakes, but, again that damn ice, stopped it from slowing, and the SUV drove right over my chest, crushing 3 ribs, one nearly puncturing my heart. (Less than 2 centimeters away)

Immediately, I was knocked unconscious, and couldn't feel anything, so the next part is all from what I've been told.

So, after the driver came over to me, he checked my pockets and found my cell phone and wallet, he used my phone to call 911 and then my parents, who were on speed dial. Meanwhile, I was bleeding profusely from my mouth, and lay trapped under my bike.
About a minute later, paramedics arrive, and do what they can to help me, while getting me on a stretcher and rushing me to the ER.
About 12 hours later, I came to, but awoke to a mask full of anesthesia. I was on the operating table being "fixed."
Another 3 hours later, I was in the recovery ward (or w/e) and my parents were there. Basically, I stayed in the hospital for 2 days, and now I am finally home, with 3 broken ribs and a massive concussion.

What a day.
