"Oh, John shall not interfere, my little friend," Lestat spoke up, his voice purposefully coated in a soft, low, charming tone. "You can handle Will, trust me... and the hunter can be crushed by Edward in a moment. What have you to worry about besides your... tiny Dracula issue?"
He's not very menacing, is he? Lestat thought toward Hannah. I'm still not impressed.
Lestat laughed quietly, smiling to himself still. "I mean no harm," he chuckled aloud, raising his long, white hands as if in a gesture of innocence.
Lestat rose from the bed, giving Hannah a wink before he glided, faster than light, to the window. He leaned against it, letting his hair fall into his eyes, the sharpness, sweetest smile on his face. "I'm trying to look innocent," he whispered.
Lestat nodded. "It's your hunter friend," he grinned. "This will be fun."
You can share what you wish, Lestat said to Beatrice. I don't mind.
"The day does fade fast around here," Lestat mumbled, looking out the window.
"Have fun," Lestat chuckled.
"Do not worry, Edward," Lestat said after a moment. "You'll burst out of your skin if you worry that much... literally." I honestly don't care, dear, he muttered at Beatrice.
"Why want to die?" Lestat asked, raising an eyebrow. "I'll let you answer that question after you've lived as long as I. The dreams... the ghosts," he elaborated kindly. "The pain that I felt; losing everyone around me that I ever cared about. They went their own ways, either dead or just... away. But I am here now. Good for you, isn't it?" he added with a small smile. What do you think? Lestat sneered at Beatrice.
Lestat swallowed, breathing through his mouth. "I..." he began, clearing his throat just slightly. "I wanted to die... I decided I would fly as high as I could, away from everyone I knew, even my friends, my children. And, as I ran out of oxygen and the sun rose, I was burnt almost to a cinder, but not even close to death. I was just in pain for a couple days, and then... well, here I am, same as always." Of course, Lestat added to Beatrice. It won't be hard... she'll be safe.
"Not for me, dear," Lestat sighed. "Trust me... I did not get so close on a whim..." No, my daughter, he replied to Beatrice. I can do anything... and anyone. He laughed aloud to himself.
Lestat leaned close to Hannah's ear and whispered: "The sun doesn't harm me... I've touched it and lived." Oh, there are some who know how to deal, little one, he murmured at Beatrice.
"I'd love for that stupid, amateur hunter come in here," Lestat smiled, raising his voice slightly. "But you think I'm not smart, my friend," he added, seeing Edward's face. "You must understand that nothing he can do will kill me. Do you want to know a secret?" He leaned toward Hannah, catching her eye.
"Does it matter?" Lestat chuckled.
Which I am very grateful for, Lestat sighed. She'll be fine. Ooc: EVERYWHERE! :D
OOC: alright... but the real question is... are you TICKLISH?? Lestat only nodded at Edward calmly, the same, semi-sweet smile on his face.
Lestat nodded. "I have a way with words," he murmured, almost to himself.
Lestat laughed, a slow, quiet sound under his breath. "I can do anything!" he exclaimed. "No, almost," he added, a little more softly. "I can fly faster than you could imagine, dear. We will get there with plenty of time to spare... and will have lots to talk about all night."
"It will be fine," Lestat said, putting a cold hand on Hannah's shoulder. "You've got to stop worrying so much; it isn't healthy... even for people like us."
