But you surprise me, that is my point, Lestat said, a small laugh giving away how much he took John's last statement as a complement. Why you still let her stay, I do not know...
You're a very peculiar man, you know, Lestat began randomly, not knowing if John would hear him or not.
Lestat laid on the bed in the main room of the Grecian island's mansion. His boots, vest, and tunic lay on the floor next to him, the hot Mediterranean sun making the soft locks of his hair cling to his forehead in a thin blood-sweat. He sighed to himself, caught in his thick memories as always. Akasha, he thought sadly, the name still stabbing his little black heart painfully despite the passing of time. Louis... if you could only see me know, my beautiful Louis, and all the things I've done to these people, what would you say?
I did what he says, Lestat began confidently. But for the reason of helping her, protecting her, making her not have to kill like she hates... He paused, laughing aloud and in his mind. Just wait until John finds out! OOC: Louis, Louis, I love little Louis! He's yummmmmmmy!!!
pie??!! i love pie! i mean... when i could eat it... lol
Lestat laughed to himself, and then shut his eyes. Now... he thought calmly. I think I'd like to spend the rest of the day in Greece...
"Of course," Lestat said honestly, bowing just slightly. "Whatever makes you feel better."
"I do apologize if I have offended you, what with your interpretation of last night," Lestat replied politely.
"I was protecting her," Lestat shrugged, resisting the urge to wink. "Helping keep her safe."
"Having trouble?" Lestat began with a small smile, appearing behind John.
Sorry, Lestat began. I can't get on his bad side. You're going to have to deal without my help for now.
Lestat slowed his walking, his ears catching a few, vague, telepathic words. Something wrong, Edward? he asked quietly.
Lestat sighed, and then smiled to himself. Well, I wonder what will happen next month, he thought to himself.
Just walk out the front door, my friend, Lestat muttered politely as he walked through the trees, further into the dark. She's headed your way.
"Oh, don't be sad," Lestat chuckled, reaching up to brush her cheek with his fingers before stepping away toward the thicker part of the trees. "Just remember: life without me would be even more unbearable!"
"Good," Lestat whispered, wrapping her tightly in his arms. "Don't hold your breath," he added again before he shut his eyes. He envisioned the Transylvanian forrest in his mind as he felt his feet leave the ground, barely noticing the windy and odd sensation of nothing beneath his feet. When he opened his eyes, they stood exactly where he thought of, on the edge of the forrest. The travel had barely ruffled his clothes or hair. He looked down at Hannah, his eyes falling for one moment on his bite marks at the nape of her neck. "Here we are," he said after a moment.
Lestat laughed under his breath, shaking his head. "I suppose..." he said softly, stepping over to her and putting his hands on her shoulders. "You must understand if I just leave you in the woods. I'd rather not meet all your friends together once again."
Lestat turned, leaning against the windowframe and smiling at her. "You're welcome," he said with a wink. "I bet you're ready to leave now, no?"
"Do you regret coming here tonight?" Lestat asked, almost absentmindedly, as he stood and walked to the nearest window. He put a hand up to the dark, red velvet curtain, little bits of dust shaking off and playing in the sunlit air.
