Kairi shook her head a little, lowering her hand from her head as she shook it in rejection. "I...don't want to say," she admitted softly, finally lifting her eyes to look at the blue she loved. "It was just...awful." Riku heard the words as he silently observed his friends, quickly recognizing that it must have been a nightmare she was talking about. This late, it was the only thing he could really see them talking about. But he was good to see that they were talking, and that Sora was with Kairi. Riku knew that Sora didn't need his approval, but his friend was taking good care of Kairi, and he liked it that way.
He? Would this happen to be an ex? =/
"You...and Nathaniel..." Kairi stopped there, bringing a hand to her forehead for a few seconds. The image reappeared in her head, and it really was terrible. How could she come up with something so awful? Riku stopped when he heard a soft voice, immediately recognizing that it was Kairi's. He furrowed his brows slightly before taking a few steps forward, stopping when he could clearly see her on the bed. He was still hidden by the darkness of the hall, but the dim light coming through the window was enough for him to see that she wasn't alone. Sora was there, and he was holding her.

Kairi shook her head a little, but made sure not to disrupt Sora's movement along her head. She didn't really want to discuss it because it revolved around Sora...and his death. But she couldn't help but say a few words. "...It was so horrible," she confessed softly, eyes on Sora's legs next to hers. Riku walked out of the doorway, deciding that since he was up it would be a good idea to use the bathroom. He walked away from the living room and down the hall, searching for the room in the darkness. There wasn't a sign of Sora anywhere, so his confusion was still there, but he brushed it off.
Mhm. =) So how about you? Everything okay, or would just rather not talk about it?
Kairi leaned into Sora a little more at his touch, hearing the worry in his voice. "I'm okay..." she said, keeping her eyes closed as she tried to calm herself down. That nightmare had been awful; she never wanted to see that image ever again. Riku tilted his head to the side slightly, wondering what was up. He was already awake, so there was no reason to just sit around until Sora got back. The boy pushed himself up from the chair, briefly wondering if the scream that was in his dream had been real; it sounded so life-like.
Nope. But I'm better now, thank goodness. xD
Kairi didn't hesitate leaning into Sora once he touched her, the girl's gaze staying down on the sheets as she released a breath. It was just a nightmare, she told herself. Everyone's fine. Sora's fine...you're fine. Kairi closed her eyes as she tried to put the thoughts of her nightmare away. It was too horrible to remember. Riku's eyebrows furrowed a little in his sleep, the boy coming out of it rather quickly. He opened his eyes a little and then blinked before opening them fully. His eyes looked around the room, seeing Roxas on the couch and the loveseat empty. Empty? Riku stared at the spot where Sora was supposed to be, confused.
Oh, no it's okay. =) Um, I was at my friend's house and we were all hanging out and everything until I started not feeling well. The left side of...
Kairi heard the voice and turned her head a little toward the door, instantly seeing Sora. Her hand dropped from her mouth just as she let out a sound much like a one of disbelief, but it was actually in relief. Sora... He was alright. Kairi's eyes lowered to the bedsheets again, the girl still shocked at what her mind had conjured up.
My afternoon wasn't too great either. =/
Kairi closed her mouth, her eyes opening instead as she stared wide-eyed at the wall in front of her. She breathed heavily from fright, her sight then darting down to the sheets over her. What...was that? She knew it was only a nightmare, but it had been so realistic. That could have happened! The realization made Kairi bright a hand to her face, the girl covering her mouth.

A few hours later... Kairi could feel the sharp grip, the Heartless's claws digging into her lower arms. All that was surrounding her was darkness, and when she turned around to look at her captor, all she could make out was the glowing yellow eyes of the creature. She whimpered in fear, but a noise distracted her. Kairi turned her head sharply, her eyes widening when they fell on the love of her life, who just happened to be fighting somebody else she was fooled to fall in love with. "Sora!" she cried instantly, leaning forward with the cry only to be roughly brought back, the grip on her arms tightening and making her hiss in pain. Kairi's eyes met the beautiful blue pair that were about a hundred feet away, and she saw him take in a breath as if to speak, but it was then that she realized the other boy thrust his sword forrward. The Sora in her dreams gasped in shock, his hand reaching to grasp the spot in his chest where he had been struck. "No!" Kairi struggled against the bonds on her arms, the claws digging further into her skin as she attempted to move toward Sora. She watched helplessly as he dropped onto his knees and Nathaniel removed his blade. Kairi's eyes met the wide pair she'd grown to love over the years, a cry leaving her lips... Kairi bolted upright in Sora's bed, her eyes squeezed shut as she let out a scream in terror.
Riku lifted his arm a little to lean his head against his fingers, the boy closing his eyes instantly. He knew one of the ways to make the pain go away was to sleep, and hopefully it'd be less in the morning. Roxas sat back but then slowly lifted his legs onto the couch, being careful because of how sore his body was. He then leaned back, his head falling on the pillow by the arm rest. Time to go to sleep and wake to a day without Smith. Finally.
Roxas looked from Sora to Riku in time to catch the latter nod, and he shrugged slightly. "Okay. Since we've come to an agreement..." he said, turning a little on the couch and leaning toward the light in the room to switch it off. "Time for some shut-eye. 'Night." He flipped the light off, the room being surrounding in darkness immediately.
Riku shrugged slightly, though he regretted the move when his chest burned again. "I can always recline the seat," he said. "No big deal." If anything, he just wanted to sleep, and he didn't care where. The chair was fine.
"Remember where I've been sleeping the past couple months?" Riku said, bringing up his mission. He arched an eyebrow at his best friend at the question, but didn't allow an answer. Instead, he continued. "I'll be fine. Don't worry about it."
Roxas watched Namine and Kairi leave until they were out of sight, the boy then turning his gaze to the two people left in the room. "So..." he started, lifting a hand to rub over the back of his spikes. "What now?" Riku lowered his hand to the arm rest, looking from Roxas to Sora. "You two are taking the couches," he declared. "Sound good?" He really didn't mind sleeping in the chair, which was a recliner. If he needed to lay back, he could.
