"Sure you're fine. And that's why you're wincing, right Sleeping Beauty?" Alyce asked smugly.
Alyce sighed. "I don't understand how I can stand hanging around with you two. You're too pessimistic." she told Geryl dryly. She looked over at Jake, smirking faintly. "And you don't ever relax, even if you're in pain."
Alyce frowned faintly. "Geryl, you're overreacting. We're not going to die." she told him, keeping her voice as straight as possible.
Alyce shook her head, color slowly returning to her face. "Don't say that. We're not going to die. None of us are going to die." she told Geryl sharply, although she wasn't sure if she believed herself.
Alyce was eerily silent as she looked at the sketch, her face getting paler as she clenched her fists tightly in fear.
Alyce paled. "Let me see that." She looked closer at the drawing. "This isn't my drawing. It looks like it, but it's not." The drawing looked almost identical to her usual ones, but she knew she hadn't drawn that...in fact, she hadn't looked at her sketchbook since just a little earlier today... She turned to Geryl, who had limped over. "Jake thinks we've been watched longer than we thought...and I'm starting to agree with him."
Alyce shrugged. "I usually try to draw without anyone knowing because it makes for better art...it looks more natural. But yeah, I guess I do...why?"
Alyce noticed him look through it, interested, then looked at him in confused when he slowed down. "Is...something wrong?"
"You really think so? I mean, my dad's told me I'm good at drawing, but I mean, he's my dad." Alyce said, as she watched him flip through the sketchbook.
OOC: Welcome back from the dead, chula-claire! Have fun catching up...I know I did last time I had to catch up on what I missed. :P
"Not that I know of. I flipped through it quickly before I left..." she answered slowly, and shrugged.
Alyce sheepishly pulled out her sketchbook and tossed it to him, knowing what his reaction would probably be. "Whoever it was only scrawled something on the cover. Everything else is fine...none of my drawings are even missing."
"Well, for one, you're being an idiot and not resting." Alyce told him dryly. "And I'm pissed off at whoever ruined the cover of my sketchbook..." she muttered.
Alyce smiled. "You give good advice, but you don't take mine. Is there something wrong with the world?"
Alyce looked at him for a minute, dropping the fascade. "No, I'm not okay. I'm scared out of my mind."
"Just lay down or I'll make you lay down." Alyce told him as she thought for a moment how to respond. "Okay? Why wouldn't I be?"
"Of course we are." Gwyxn said absentmindedly, still embarrased out of her mind.
Alyce rolled her eyes and sat down next to him. "You idiot...why do you always act like everything's okay?" she asked, suddenly realizing this was something she had asked herself once.
Gwyxn turned a deep shade of red when Xangel walked in on the two of them. "Um...hi, Xangel..." she said awkwardly, attempting to keep a cheerful tone in her voice. Why does life hate me? Why?
Alyce quickly looked Jake over, and decided right then she definately wasn't going to tell him she'd passed out a few minutes ago. He looked stressed enough, and...wait, was that blood on the ground? "Hey Sleeping Beauty. You feeling any better?"
