"I will be happy to lead this group. The wounded should be helped in the centre of the group. There will be a lot more comfort there and it is sheltered so it won't get so cold. There is a beautiful waterfall as well. I think they will like it." Clarisse held out her hand. "Lets go and set an example to the others. We must remain strong and confident. What were you looking at by the way?"
Gharanth smiled as he held her hand. It seemed so small and fragile and yet he knew of the hidden strength that Twilight possessed. She was his inspiration, his reason to want to be a better man. "I wish we could be like this forever." Gharanth closed his eyes and dreamt of a future at her side.
"Please call me Clarisse. I am just another person here. There is no chance that I will keep myself in that aloof position when the best strategy is to work together. Lets get everyone moved. Actually it was Matt that first discovered it anyway. That boy will go far."
"Why do I feel intoxicated in your presence? It is as if you are the very air I need to survive. Without you I have no reason to continue my pitiful existence." Gharanth held her close, taking a break from the challenge and drowning in her closeness.
"More than you realise. They have spies everywhere and the town is pretty much in their grip. Everyone lives in fear. They need a hero to free them from the tyranny."
Clarisse walked into the camp and cleared her throat. "We have found a much better place to camp with clean water and better shelter.I suggest we move to this new site which is not a long walk away. Gather your things and follow us."
"We can progress without any problems. I realise now that my biggest fear and limitation is my own insecurity. I will face whatever is thrown at me and stand firm. You have nothing to fear." Gharanth held her in his arms and wrapped his tail around her waist. "I will always love you and you can rely on me to take you through any challenge."
Maiko walked swiftly along towards the farm. She wanted to be safe and needed to tell Koza exactly what she had heard. Things were indeed grim. They had much more of a grip than she had suspected and they were in great danger.
"Let's get back where it is safe. I dislike the idea of you being exposed to unnecessary danger. I would rather that you are secure."
"It's nice to see you are safe as well. Here is not the place from what I have learned. I will update you as soon as we get back to the farm. There is a lot going on here."
Maiko walked off and disappeared into the crowd. Pulling her cloak around her arms to hide her sword she joined a group of women and began to work with them. Soon the air rang with talking and laughter. She listened carefully to everything said and asked subtle questions. Laughing, she waved goodbye and returned to the square where she waited for Koza.
"I won't be long. I will just merge into the crowd. No one ever notices someone who is plain and quiet. You can learn what I have found out when I meet up with you. Just take care of yourself. I don't want to lose my family."
"Take it easy, I'll be fine. If I'm not back in time, go without me. It's better if you are safe so I know you can rescue me if necessary."
When I post with other good RPers I can really get into the character.
"The mirror shatters as do many of our dreams. I have long awaited the day that my nightmares will finally be over and I truly believe that the last test has destroyed the last of my insecurities when the mirror shattered. Each shard represents a fear that I clung to." Gharanth smiled and the lines seemed to drop from his face. The darkness that clung desperately to his soul was at last gone and his eyes sparkled with the rejuvenation of a soul reborn. "There will never be another time like this my love. Whatever we face from now on cannot cut me as deep or show me what a fool I was to doubt my own strength. I will shield you from the darkness and you shall never walk the shadows alone ever again."
"Well gossiping does get a lot more information. Sometimes you men seem oblivious to our presence and there is a real advantage to that. Women hear a lot of information and pass it around. I guess most men haven't guessed that yet."
"They have to eat and buy provisions. There are always people who will give us information. It's time I went to join the women and gossip again."
"I guess that we need to stop the ones after our heads first. That seems to be the main concern at the moment."
"That's the family that I meant. You are much better than me. Lets solve our problems and get on with our lives."
"That sounds great. They will like that a lot and they deserve it. You have a good heart Koza and you are the best of the family."
