I can't comprehend this thread's title. Why does this incomprehensible phrase keep coming up?!
Maybe if they were reasonably priced, but then again I have all 4 games so probably not.
1. Challenge? Very challenging, even at level 100. Then again I'm not "skilled." 2. Tries? On Kurt and the phantom, one try but the phantom took a while because of the amount of magic needed to beat it Ice titan 2 tries Sephiroth....lost count Xemnas, surprisingly 3 tries, he was annoying but easier then sephiroth. 3. Controller rage? Yes, but I was too lazy to throw it and didn't want to buy a new one. 4. Scream? Does yelling at how cheap sephiroth's teleporting count? 5. Most annoying? Sephiroth...just sephiroth... 6. Fun fighting Xemnas? It was ok, couldn't hit him at some points, spammed max elixers, used partners as meat shields. Overall best part was my reaction to actually beating him on my third try. 7...yeah, you're a tad short of 20. =P Now all I need is to finish the mini game portion of the journal and the secret ending shall be mine!
After doing all of that, I've come to the conclusion that strike raid is a life saver and the ice titan makes leveling too easy... ...I'm going to bed...
On second thought...
I think I may enjoy it. XD Now I know random dude 83 never had a chance! Unless that is a main character, then I would be disappointed knowing their fate of being hilariously trampled by a titan.
I guess this is one of those cases where opinions greatly differ. I enjoy only parts of the anime nowadays, hell it was the $kids "adaptation" that introduced me to One Piece back in 2004 and it really wasn't till 2007 when I started to read the manga. Yes, a lot of the scenes are better when animated, but the manga has grown on me over the years while the tedium of the anime has sullied itself. Some implied filler was good but a lot of it kind of ruined the mood especially... Spoiler ...during the marineford war. It was a fast flowing arc in the manga while the anime kind of ruined it with bizarre moments like Hancock's fantasies and buggy making a lame joke in what could have been a hilarious scene if they just followed the manga... I don't hate the anime, I just look down on it due to Toei's decisions. In my opinion, what they need to do is have a filler arc after the current one... Spoiler with the current one being punk hazzard. That way they can exploit Law's current popularity, have some hijinx with Ceaser, and most needed of all create some needed space between the anime and manga. The one episode per chapter is really not doing the anime any justice.
Another great arc, toonami is about to reach that arc in a couple of weeks. Even though I have the dvds, I'm still excited for it. XD
That's the problem with One Piece with most people, it's too long. XD Skypia tends to get mixed reactions from people and tend to write it off. It seems like its a one shot arc, with a great psychotic villain, but some ideas from it comes back into play later. Like I said in an earlier post, things that pop up in past chapters tend to come back in later chapters. The one truly pointless arc is still the Davy Back arc... That's another common complaint I hear from people is that they don't like the art style. It's what gives One Piece originality when compared to other series. Also I'd have to disagree with you, I'd prefer the manga over the anime. Nowadays, the anime has horrible pacing. What they are trying to do is do one episode per manga chapter which really doesn't work. It pads out the episode and they have to fill it with implied filler which can work but at times it doesn't. If I had to recommend the anime I'd tell you to watch from ep 1 through 300 or so then switch to the manga because the anime is just..."meh" nowadays. Only saving grace is its bgm.
Sure, but it would have to be a bit later, I'm going to be a tad busy today.
Well... Spoiler Robin was introduced as an enemy and the way she joins the crew was kind of out of left field so no one would really know about it. Problem is the show's third opening shows her as a part of the crew and this opening is introduced about 10 or so episodes before said scene... Is my nerdom showing? XD
Actually Robin in of herself is a spoiler for certain reasons but meh, the show itself spoils it early on. =/ Yeah, Oda's great at writing, it is also a plus that he loves his creation so much...kind of creepy at points...
Usually the arlong arc gets people to continue watching/reading. XD The thing with One Piece is its world building. As the show/manga continues on it builds the world and plot. Yes, its basically one island one plot at a time, but there is an overlying plot besides luffy wanting to become pirate king. Things that pop up in one chapter pop up in a future chapter in ways you'd never expect. I'd spoil things to entice you to continue, but I have an anti spoiling policy when it comes to One Piece. ...but if you are interested in robin's story. Be warned that this a heavy spoiler moment. Only view if you don't care for spoilers... Spoiler Pick your poison. English: Japanese:
Ah, I was an idiot back then, still am now but at least I'm smarterer to know it. In all seriousness, I'll wait for the show to hear the soundtrack. Don't want to ruin the show for myself.
Maybe this show will kick start the anime fan in me. Besides the weekly One Piece episodes and anime news, I've pretty much stopped watching anime.
I tried doing this around the time I started watching a lot of anime, starting around 2006 and 2007. I mainly stuck with shonen manga, I tried it with Bleach, Naruto, One Piece, and even Dragon Ball. Found it a hassle to switch between sound tracks so I pretty much dropped the idea soon after I tried it.
I actually don't know, I thought I deleted one of those while making corrections to my post.
Only season 1? If you wish to continue, all I can say is good luck. X_X If you ever need any advice on which episodes to skip, feel free to ask because filler is abundant in this series. I've actually tried it before with another manga... I can deal with a slow start, I mean I'm a fan of One Piece and that show takes 30-50 eps, depending on which arc hooks you, to get started. XD A cliffhanger...not a fan of those... Meh, no big deal to me. If they confirm a second season great but if not I'll probably switch to the manga.[DOUBLEPOST=1379831431][/DOUBLEPOST] I liked Code Geass and Death Note...well at least the first 25 eps... Who knows, maybe I'll like this show.
I plan on watching it next week after all 25 episodes are out. I've heard it's good, but that's pretty much it. I've kept away from spoilers and I'm going in with no expectations. Before I plan on doing this though, I must ask. Is it worth watching?
