Only thing I want to see have work on is the text. Far too simple, even though it is a vector masked layer.

Otherwise I like it quite a lot. Especially the colors. Very pleasing to the ye.

    2012

2012 will only be true if people keep believing it is going to happen and throw everything away in their lives for it. And if that happens, it will be the biggest act of manipulation in the history of humankind.

At the bold: what do you mean? If enlightenment is a journey that never ends and goes on forever, making every instant enlightenment, then where does the process of trying to reach enlightenment come in?

I agree with you completely. Life is filled to the brim with enlightenment and complexities. It makes me feel like I'm never 100% satisfied with life, but every instant makes me more and more satisfied as I go along the path. It's always about the journey, I agree. :]

    Gay like a ***.

My school is offering to "buy-back" the textbooks I got from it. Although the thing is, one of the textbooks I can sell back to them is 67 dollars (which is the price I paid) and I don't have any CD's that is supposedly needs with the textbook. Also note, I didn't receive any CD's when I bought it. Something is very wrong here.

It isn't so much that they don't understand, I think. It's that sometimes parents become shrouded by the fact they want to do a good job raising you to be a good person. Sometimes it is over the edge and sometimes it is with sincerity to secure your safety.

In a lot of ways I think if parents weren't so overbearing at times, children would be much more down to Earth (and in that respect, when they are adults, too).

In your respect, Roxasfan, I do think your parents are overbearing and being overly controlling. You're an adult and you should be able to make that decision yourself (since you're in college after all). Plus it is your life. Just because you live with your parents (I think?) doesn't mean you have to heed their every command. I'm afraid if you made that point, however, they would kick you out or something. So I don't think it is very fair, although it depends on what is truly going to benefit you in the future; job corps or college? Personally, I'd go with the one that yields more income in the future than in the Now.

I have at least the faith that it is possible a higher power or divine presence exists. If not divine, fine, but there could be something there that we can't quite understand at this point. Mostly because we are not in tune with it and therefore can't understand it.

I like to think the divine power is not necessarily a God, but a force to be recognized. Sort of like a frequency. Know the truth and it will set you free, in other words.

Also, Stardust, I like your posts. ;3

    That is partially true.

"A higher being was put forward as the creator of the universe." This is the part that is questionable. In the Bible, God was never noted as the only creator. He simply replenished the Earth, if you interpreted the language carefully enough (and if you get the exact translation to English, that's what the words will tell you). That's from the New Testament, also.

As for there being "a higher being," it was more like "beings." The bible makes numerous references to there being not just one God, but multiple. The Hebrew people were henotheistic, so not everything was in reference to just one God. It was more like they chose a God and that became the one that was their "creator" and "image."

Let them keep making games. Just because you aren't enthused about it doesn't mean they have to stop.

Also, I'm glad they keep making those games. Just like they do in Mega Man, Pokemon and Mario.

Don't lie, you know that when you love a series enough it won't matter the story, just the new gaming experience and the story being retold in that new experience.

Sure it is. How would it not be possible?

An epiphany is a form of enlightenment, and people get that all the time.

Rapid-fire epiphany's (which I've gotten) is sort of like enlightenment; when you become aware of a whole system of processes in reality one after the another, due to their consistency of logic and rationale, regardless if there is a dead end at some point to its self-evident system. I hope that makes sense to everyone.

Of course it is deeply subject to individual understanding, and only goes as far as to how adept you are at language (since we think in terms of language a lot of the time). I'm not sure how relevant this part is, but do you ever have an understanding that sort of goes beyond your scope of explanation? That kind of understanding is very self-evident. It can't be pre-cognitive or anything, it is just an understanding that follows through with itself, without there needing to be a proof. This sort of "identity-existence" is what makes it hard for some people to explain things coherently to one another. Due to this I very much feel like past enlightenment era's (renaissance, etc.) for philosophy and sociology and the like are all misrepresented a lot of the time. They seem more extreme than they need to be in some cases, even.

Of course it is also possible to not be enlightened if we view enlightenment as a self-evident process, naturally occurring in human life consistently (which it does). Through this logic you might as well say every instant you accept, resulting in the acceptance of all of existence, is it's own enlightenment, making every instance enlightenment, therefore defeating the entire purpose of trying to reach enlightenment. The Buddha probably wouldn't be too happy to hear that part, though.

So there is a very large paradox here where you can't determine if enlightenment is possible, all because of reality's role in the game of existence. How mind-numbing. :l

Physically, I find eyes, hair and lips to be extremely attractive. Breasts can sort of fit into this, but that isn't something I always notice right off the bat. Body shape can be important too, since I do have some standards.

In terms of non-physical things, I do like someone who is perceptive and intelligent, and someone who can have a nice discussion and not get upset and make the discussion feel like a debate (or turn it into one, even). Also if they're humorous that's a plus, too.

Non-sense, to me. I can't take magic at all seriously, due to the fact of its fictional basis in literature. Also, I really believe that until I witness magic in a visual way, I won't take it for fact of reality.

What I mean by "visual way," is that I want to see it, not feel it, or hear it for that matter.

The two can't be separated by importance. They're really equally important. The situations determine the context of importance, in my opinion.

For example, someone might lie to save them the trouble having to deal with the pain of something. Of course other variables in this type of situations are there, but generally speaking, this would be a case where lying is appropriate.

Being truthful is a lot more painful but in the long run it builds foundation. And from my experience I am absolutely sure truth is the way to go if you think it is worth it later. Also, the truth allows you to recover and not make the same mistake. Which is why it occurs so much in history; lying and deception of processes result in repetition of events and patterns. And that repetition itself becomes the pattern. The common manifestation of this scenario is something like religion, santa clause, political ridiculopathy, or if there is a complete hegemony of the state where a population is ruled. In it's current state, I can hopefully say that society isn't the far latter, yet. XD

It varies on importance of the situation.

It wouldn't have mattered at the end of the day, only one could be saved. I'd probably end up saving my friend, simply because I know the person and I truly care about them.

If we take out the factors of why the doctor and the friend might be important, we can compare what you generally believe. Are doctors even honorable in this faded republic of a nation? Medicine is an impossible field to feel great about because it is dying in the economy. This can result in a lot of bad moral decisions by doctors, such as getting parents and loved ones to pull plugs on coma patients, misdiagnosing, giving out unnecessary amounts of medicine... etc...

The friend has a shlew of memories with, sure... by taking the friend you're taking a selfish choice but also you'll be acclaimed for it (probably not locally, although it is possible). You probably won't feel the guilt of having let your friend die, as well. Which could possibly drive some to kill themselves. That's one death plus the original death in the fire, and that possibility is unnecessary.

Also, you might say by letting the doctor die, people would die everywhere 'cause of the cancer and the loss of the cure. Well, it depends on where the cure is. Is it on the doctor IN the fire? Or is it back at a lab with a bunch of lab notes on the cure and how it works? If it is the latter, then why bother? Also, if it is on him, the heat probably would have destroyed the cure by then anyway.

Plus, there is no "cure for cancer" that is universal. There are quite a few different types of cancer, so you can't just generalize with one type of cure. This is a technical problem, I'm pretty sure.

    Anyway, I'd save the friend.
