Before Reading I'm in love with someone. I truly believe love exists. But the person I'm in love with... their friend likes me. And she's always complimenting me and hugging me and touching me and everything in front of her friend, and I hate it. So I wrote this poem to let out my feelings on the matter. ----------------------------------------------------------------------- Seven shots of a brandy wine. Two dozen beers on the wall. Is happiness just a waste of time? You’re coming for me one and all. How do I come and make myself clear? It’s like finding sugar in sand. Two beings hurt are what I fear. But I need to say where I stand. I hate it when you convince me. Those compliments are a piece of crap. To tell me I have perfect quality. This is more than a silly rap. Stroke the fire with your eyes. Pry at me with no regret. And when I look to the skies. I’m placing my thoughts on a simple bet. But what about the other one? Who sits next to you. Seven shots of a brandy wine… ----------------------------------------------------------------------- If you didn't notice, after the verse where the last line is Forever and the end, the poem starts itself in reverse. Why? The first half up to 'Forever and the end' is my feelings about what is going on. Now read it from 'forever and the end.' This is me coming to the conclusion that I can't just listen to this girl's prancing and whining... I need to stay there for the one I love. Because I love her. So the first half - me thinking about everything that's going on with these two girls, and the second half (the first half backwards) is me finally coming to the conclusion that I need to stand by the one I love. Earth, the year - 2163. Sunlight, a once beautiful energy that filled every inch of air, is gone. Massive plates cover the whole planet. Ruled by an evil government known as 'The Tyranox' people live in fear, watching, waiting, wondering if tall men in black coats will come to their doors, holding documents signed and stamped by the government, and shoot them. Smog fills the air, green grass is sparse, and the planet is ruled by a Totalitarian Dictatorship. Everyone lives in hate, wanting to overthrow the government. But this is an impossible task, yet still activist groups lay around the planet, trying to find a better way of things. And there is one rebel group, the United Tasc, UT, that lives in the city Tyranox. There they must fight for their freedom. There they must pitch a final government against the evil dictator, who's palace lays high up above the plates that cover the dying planet. Will you join the United Tasc and help overthrow the government? UT members are handing out slips that look like this: Name: Age: Characteristics: Behaviors: Appearance: Goals: By filling out this sheet you can become a part of the UT, and try and overthrow the government that has killed your brethren. Now is the time to fight. Now is the time for war. Name: Mirridox Age: 17 Characteristics: He started the UT when his mother was killed, when he was 16. He still has that burning desire to one day overthrow the dictatorship that ruined his life from Day One to present. Behaviors: He is quiet, and talks sternyl tot he UT members. He tries his best to keep calm in a tough situation, sometimes appearing tense to others. Appearance: He always wears a leather black trenchcoat, hidden beneath it a switchblade and one Colt .45 Pistol. Strapped tightly to his back is an Ingram .26 Sub-machine Gun. He has long black hair that curves away at the front and hangs to his shoulders at the back. He is white-skinned and has green-blue eyes.
