On Trauma Center: Under the Knife. *caution, some spoilers ahead!*

I'm still stuck on 3-4: Something Precious; the operation where you deal with the Deftera strain of GUILT. That's the one where there's two masses, one red, one blue, and you have to drain them when they merge together and make a yin-yang sort of thing. There's one "set", if you will, in the patient's stomach, and two "sets" in the lungs.

This is where I am stuck.

When I start, I can get through the stomach operation with little or no fuss. When I get to the lungs, I'm juggling zapping the tumors with the lazer while trying to get red-blue "set" to form. The problem is masses of the same color bumps into one another frequently, making my vitals drop severely. By that point, my vitals get so low that I barely have a chance to drain and excise the GUILT before the patient dies. It doesn't seem to matter how much stabilizer I inject either.

I pulled up a walkthough and it suggested spreading a ring of antibiotic gel around a "set" to prevent like-colored masses from bumping into it and dropping vitals, but that hasn't helped much. I got close once, and I was barely starting to excise the first set when the patient kicked the bucket.

Anyone else out there that's played the game, what did you do?

...at 8:30 in the morning. Fun, fun, fun.:censor2:

Don't register to vote, kiddies. It's not worth it. Barely 19 years old and I get to spend a Monday morning with a bunch of cronies who'd rather be at the casinos or something.

I'm planning on showing up with a Rockstar drink, my CSI novel, my iPod set to Metallica, and my copy of Stephen Colbet's "I am America ( And So Can YOU!)". Maybe they'll let me go sooner.

And I don't mean games that are two-three years old...I'm taking good ol' retro games that after all these years are still loads of fun to play.

On my end, my N64 is still alive and kickin'...I tend to play Zelda: OoT on that for old times' sake rather than use my Collector's disk on my GC. And Mario Kart and Super Mario 64 are still classics. My friends will play that sometimes rather than Guitar Hero or something (le gasp!)

Heck, I still have a Sega Genesis floating around that still works...hooked that up yesterday morning and played Sonic 2 for the first time in ages...and remembered how hard that last boss battle was....

    Here's the skinny:

I'm looking for a good RPG game for the computer for mom for Xmas. What we're both looking for is a game similar to Zelda, in a sense (similar gameplay, puzzle-solving), but without anything bloody or gory ( which makes me crack up to no end; she works in a hospital and deals with this stuff everyday, but can't stand a few pixels that look like blood). She likes how Zelda plays but wants something for her new laptop and so far we haven't found much.

Does anyone have a few suggestions?

Okay, so we've had the thread on pairing we like. Then we had one for ones we hate. Now we're going to have one for all the ones people come up with and make you go, "Now how can THEY be a couple?" Hey, maybe we'll get lucky and get some answers. The pairings can be straight or not.

Let's start with, say, Axel x Namine. Now, I've read a couple fics on FF.net that were kinda cute, but I don't see how they'd be able to keep a relationship together. The fics I read suggested that Axel had been sent to "babysit" for Namine when Demyx was unable to, but I don't even remember him even having any sort of contact with her other than what happened in CoM, but that doesn't constitute any sort of actual relationship.

Other confusing ones I've found are:
    Sora x Namine
    Axel x Kairi
    Axel x Riku
Sora x Roxas ( this one's way wrong to me)
    Roxas x Hayner
Roxas x Pence (this one is out there, trust me)
    Riku x Olette
    Lexaeus x Zexion
    Vexen x Marluxia

    So....any answers/ones I missed?

    Durr....

I just drove over to a friend's house to drop off a motherboard (he's fixing my desktop PC) who lives about 30 mins. from me. That's about an hour round trip.

I left my wallet on the counter. It has my driver's license in it.

I LEFT it. Didn't notice it until I walked in the door after the errand.

Thank God I didn't get pulled over for anything, that would've been hairy.

    Trauma Center

Anyone else tried/played this game yet? I just bought it for my DS and it's HARD. Well, for me. I'm on the stage right now where you have to stop thrombi from clogging a guy's spleen. I can't get the little buggers to stop.

I practically flipped out on the level with the cardiac arrest patient...I started it and his stats are at 01...XD

I know there's one for the Wii too (Second Opinion, I think), and I'd imagine it'd be harder since you're using the nunchuck to operate. Has anyone tried that one yet?

I'd imagine that maybe the acid found in droppings could have led to erosion, but the whole blame shouldn't be on birds. Opinions?

Anybody going to try to catch this show?

The main character has this magic touch that allows him to bring the dead back to life. He uses this power instead to bring murder victims back to life, ask them who murdered them, then collect the reward.

    It looks good to me.

...They are coming, I promise. Let's try to make a long story short.

My house has two computers. A laptop, which is technically mine because I use it at uni and stuff, and a desktop. The desktop one is totally dead; my brother fried the motherboard somehow and we got word that it might not be the only thing gone.

The desktop computer was the one the scanner was hooked up to. Because it's dead, I have no scanner, so those who requested sigs like my Axel one below ( which I need to change oh, so badly) will have to wait until either the 4th or 5th of September before I will be able to get them online. I have my own scanner locked up somewhere for school, and I go back to campus in a bit more than two weeks. So if you can wait just a wee bit longer, you'll get them. They are hand-drawn, they'll be well worth the wait.

    Thanks for bearing with me.

There's another thread like this on another forum I go to, and we got mixed responses. So I wanted to hear everyone's thoughts on this.

So what's your view on organ donation? Do you support it, or not? I myself have signed a donor card and had the little organ donor logo put on my license so should something happen that kills me, any organs that are needed may be taken. I feel I won't need them anyway, I'm dead, and it's kind of selfish to let them rot along with me after I'm dead when they could be used to save someone's life. My ideal is I die, have them take what they need, then cremate me.

This here is what happens when Nash is left alone for extended periods of time. In this case, I was at the hospital downtown (don't worry, I'm okay), waiting for my mother's shift to end. All I had to amuse myself was my sketchbook and some Mountain Dew.

I hope at least one other person gets a laugh out of this...this is "normal" brain function for me. My personal favorites are the "LOL" trio at the bottom and the random Yami no Yuugi who definitely doesn't fit in at the top, holding a club.

Sorry about the poor scan, my old scanner died and I'm trying to adjust to my new one.

I was rewatching Advent Children and while I still do agree Reno is Axel's other in a sense, I thought of another possibility: Zack Fair.

I think it was the hair that made me decide it:

Simply because I was watching, saw the hairstyle, and went "Oh...hey...who do I know who has that kind of hair? Axel!" Right down to the bits just behind the ear. Sure, god save those long bangs maybe they aren't totally alike, but there are some similarities. Maybe when they designed Axel they mixed both Reno and Zack together? Who knows.

    Here's another:

    See? The sideburns almost match.

And my boyfriend looked at the guy in the flames and said "Vexen!" but I doubt it looks anything like him:

I might have mentioned this in another post of mine, but I can't remember. But I finally experienced it.

    I've finally been ripped from.

I guess this just tells me to my face that my art is finally good enough to be ripped from, but I still doubt it myself. I mean, just look at my DA page.

    http://www.nashida.deviantart.com

Does that look rip-worthy? Not really. But someone out there deemed that it was, so I guess that's kinda good. Means I'm finally getting somewhere.

The person who ripped me was nice enough to take it back down, then she asked me if it was okay to post it as her desktop screenshot. Which was fine by me, because she gave me credit and linked the picture back to me.

So now I've had to put those watermarks on my art (like the one on that Burnt Axel pic) to prevent it from happening again, but there's a part of me that kind liked it. I didn't think I was good enough.
