I think I read most of the books, but stopped due to the others not being published yet. After that, I didn't pick them up again because I eventually realized that the series was repetitive. I really do like them, but honestly, the children move, they encounter Count Olaf, nobody believes them, etc, etc. (I understand that this might not hold true to every book.) The change of setting was very refreshing, actually. Whenever they moved, the excitement never failed to return. :)
Hmmm. I thought there was a thread about this already? Maybe I'm wrong. Ah, well. Agreed. Port Royal is so frustrating, especially with those immortal pirates sneaking up on you. It took a lot of effort and patience to first get them in the moonlight and keep them there long enough to destroy them. However, I do believe that Space Paranoids is probably the one I most detest going to. I feel like I've never accomplished anything there. :/
I think the best villan song is Hellfire from The Hunchback of Notre Dame. I was pleasantly surprised to see that so many others have recognized it as well. :) Also, I think The Mob Song from Beauty and the Beast and Savages from Pocahontas deserve some credit.
Xigbar and Xaldin. Although, if I had to pick one, it'd be Xaldin. At least I can avoid most of Xigbar's attack. Xaldin was relentless and took me out several times. Ah, once he got you in a corner, you were pretty much done with. Though, I don't know how he managed to kill me so many times when we were allowed to use King Mickey. ;__;
I figure I'll choose Hans Gruber in Die Hard. I never could pass up Alan Rickman and his silky voice. :D Few others, I suppose. Jareth from Labyrinth, Joker (of course) from The Dark Knight, and Hannibal Lecter from The Silence of the Lambs.
I was extremely disappointed with the trailer when I first saw it as well. I don't think my friends could shut me up about all the inconsistencies for a good fifteen minutes. However, I've come across a thread where Darren Shan reveals that he is indeed very excited with the results. Therefore, I'm trying to relent my judgements and just hope for the best. :)
Hands down, worst movie was Dragon Wars. I don't even know how anyone managed to drag me into that theatre. -.- Epic Movie was terrible as well.
I voted other just because I think The Hunchback of Notre Dame is extremely underrated. Really, I'm plagued by the constant complaints about how dark it is for a Disney movie, but I really like it! It's probably my favorite Disney movie of all time, actually.
Hmmm. What about Oscar Wilde and Charlotte Bronte? I can't say I've read most of what was mentioned, but I'm working on A Clockwork Orange at the moment. :) All else is temporarily held off as I've just recently come into possession of a dozen or so Shakespeare plays. Edit: Oh dear, I've gone and forgotten Victor Hugo and Charles Dickens. D:
Really? I found it actually rather enjoyable. After the first page or two, I felt the language was much easier to follow, and I think Satan's point of view was very interesting. One almost pities him in the beginning. Anyway, worst book I've ever had the displeasure of reading was The Red Badge of Courage. I'm not saying the writing was bad, I was just so uninterested in the material. The symbolism kept me slightly encouraged throughout the tedious task of reading it.
I'd have to say Jane Eyre. It might not be the most thought-provoking book I've ever read, but I definitely have to give it credit. I can't seem to get enough of it, to be honest. :) Thank you Junior year of high school.
My favorite 100% Kingdom Hearts character is probably Xigbar. No matter how much I detest his taunting, I can't deny that he's probably the coolest character in the game in regard to his powers and abilities. Honestly, he hangs upside down in thin air. How much cooler can he get? Favorite FF character: Seifer. His attitude makes me chuckle on several occasions. :D
I don't think I actually cried during the game, but I found Riku's uncertainty and reevaluation of Sora's friendship to be rather sad. The thought of him twisting the memories into hateful grudges really got to me. Though, I will admit, the ending of Kingdom Hearts nearly drove me to tears, but I managed to hold them at bay. ;)
