I'm sorry, I didn't bother to read everyone's replies. I skimmed through them, but I figured I'd just reply to the initial post. It's ridiculous that they are forcing blame on video games. I mean, maybe they spark something in individuals, but from my own knowledge (and it's very limited), when you hear about "famous" serial killers, they were not avid video gamers. Whatever caused them to murder people was already there in their brain. That being said, there really shouldn't be blame on guns, either. It's our gun culture. There are countries around the world that have a comparable rate of per capita firearms, and an almost nonexistent rate of gun violence. The second Amendment needs to be revised to include that persons over a certain age are required to have background checks, firearms safety training, and psychological profiling in order to own a gun. Just because it states that we have the right to bare arms, doesn't mean everyone should. It's really sad that we had to wait until an elementary school was gunned down for people to start voicing their opinions on gun control that could actually help, instead of outright banning guns from the majority of the United States population. It's even sadder the NRA doesn't believe that all of this is their fault.

Yeahh, three of the schools around my area were on lockdown today because of people threatening to shoot others, or to blow it up. At my old high school today, the elementary students were in the auditorium to hear the choir sing Christmas songs, and a kid was talking about going in there with bombs and blowing the entire place up. It's disgusting.

Is it dumb that the only game I've played this entire year was WoW? It was really awful in the beginning of the year, but then Mists of Pandaria came out, and it's really lovely now. I am sure there are better games out there, but I am not really motivated to move from my computer chair and play my xbox or PS3. :x
