I was but a humble knight. I had placed my summon sign and a message stating "Need humanity." Within moments, I was summoned.

His name was Father_Manus. He had grey hair, some pants, and no shirt. Under his lack of a shirt he had abs like you've never seen. Together, we went forward and faced the Taurus Demon. I did my usual thing wherein I would take out the crossbow hollows and then proceed to distract the monster with arrows while my companion took advantage of its limited attention span. What did Father_Manus do? Father_Manus went up and punched out the ******* in three hits, tops. I swear to god that's exactly what happened.

So we continued. When we came out into that area where we could open the gate to the Taurus Demon's area, it happened. A mesage popped up on the screen.

You are being invaded by RAVELORD_NITO.

He came out of the parish entrance and had a chicken leg or something on top of his head. Father_Manus beat on him for a few hits and then stopped, letting me have the final blow.

The next miniboss was the same dealio as Taurus Demon. I distracted him and Father_Manus beat him to a pulp. Same with the wizard guy from up above. Then came the Gargoyles. At this point he had summoned another phantom whose name I can't remember. Long story short, we kicked ass, then I left.

Seriously, I gotta put down my summon sign more often. If only I could beat that stupid Capra Demon. I've been at it for months.

I haven't seen anyone talk about it over here and that's weird because it seems like it's right up you guys' alley.

Personally, I feel the best way to describe it is as the criminally insane biological daughter of Doctor Who and Futurama who was adopted by Adventure Time and The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy. It's really well animated, funny like you'd expect it to be, touching in ways you'd never guess when it needs to be, and can get downright dark in a few scenes that are played 100% serious. It's got heart too. It's probably just me, but all of the characters have qualities about them that make me want to improve myself or turn out like them when I grow older.

Seriously, can we get some love for this show up in here? Maybe a name fad or something? Ooh, we could Avatar/Siggy combos, or maybe even a serious discussion thread over in Movies and Media? Well, let's not get crazy here, but c'mon!

Picture what looks like a normal city. There's people everywhere hustling and bustling to get to and from work, kids playing catch with their moms and dads in what apparently qualifies as a park these days, and all the other usual city stuff. Take a closer look at the sidewalks, though. They're all covered in strange icon that look like swirling arrows or other things that don't seem to mean anything. Zoom in anywhere on the sidewalk and notice the person there, seeming to trace some kind of shape on the ground. First he traces a large rectangle, about as "street-long" as he is tall and about two feet into the sidewalk. Now he traces three circles roughly inside the space where he traced the rectangle and space equally apart. Nobody pays him any mind, obviously because he's crazy. He stomps the ground, again inside the imaginary rectangle, three times. By this point two people have stopped to watch him. Without warning a bench shaped object rises out of the ground, which the man and two bystanders sit down on begin chatting.

Now, find one of those strange arrow icons. There's a person there who seems to have just finished his soda. He swipes his foot in a circle right on top of it, causing a trash receptacle to rise out of the ground. He tosses his can in, double taps the ground with his foot, and the receptacle vanishes into the ground.

I think by now you've got the idea. What I'm imagining here is a city where the ground acts similarly to a touch pad, reacting to gestures performed by swiping and tracing it with your foot. These gestures can accomplish anything from making impromptu furniture to revealing trash cans hidden in the ground to building walls to escape muggings and other such things. Police may have an augmented version of this that overrides other people's gestures, obviously to aid in law enforcement.

The main problem is that I have no idea what to do with this setting. I know it has potential, but I feel like it needs a unique story to go with it.

Personally, I think that Natasha Smirnov fits Nova to a T, but that's only my opinion. If Misty were a lesbian beekeeper, she'd probably be either Ellen Page or Eva Blaninger. I also kind of imagine Jiku as Petra Brice.

The thread that started it all.

This is a thread where we will play text adventures. You guys do the input and I'll do every single thing you say in the game, then post the results one command at a time. At the beginning of each session I'll copy and past the description of the current game from its page on TV Tropes. I also urge everyone to take this as seriously as you can. It's no fun if some dick just goes ahead and gets us killed every time we play the game.

    That's pretty much it.

We're going to start with one of the best remembered text adventures of all time, an adaptation of The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy.
    With that, let's begin!

THE HITCHHIKER'S GUIDE TO THE GALAXY

For those who don't feel like reading the whole article, here's the gist of it.

There are 707 pieces of Haruhi artwork with special identifiers on them hidden all around Japan. When found, a photograph can be uploaded to the official Haruhi webisite which will then update to show how many pictures have been found. When all 707 are uploaded, something special will happen. There will also be a video released on June 1st describing more about the game.

Personally, I'm hoping this will lead to the announcement of Volume 12, but based on the photos already on the website, it looks like it'll be (a) related to the anime and (b) totally new content, not an adaptation of any existing content. This is all speculation on my part, though.
