    first babe of 09, methinks.
colors are saturated a bit because it would look ****** if the colors were too intense. Another one for my boyfriend. That *******'s a lucky belle.

    oh hai.
    cnc, siempre.

Background's too blurred, the effects are inconsistent, there's no flow or direction, and the colors are dry, saturated, and one dimensional.

Play with a larger variety of colors.
I can see where you were trying to go with /depth/, that that layer of blur kills the attempt.

The extra black border also isn't needed.

newbies from khi were added to the list.
yea. I know about the lighter composition.
but boys want them..so its kinda like - it'd totally mar their masculinity if they were any lighter. lmfao.

but yea. I totally know what you mean.
i think these two new ones are clever.

    go look up.

Randomly decided to start making avi's today when I made my first in inspiration from this one image that I tagged my boyfriend's username onto from KHI. Then after that, I made another for the hell of it for a friend..then it just kinda sorta expanded into this 'spree' per se.

I'm temporarily opening up a /harem/ of creating porn - sensually composed esque avatars. If you want one, ask me what kind of stock you want, and I'll go find it. Or just gimme the stock. don't go on a porn site to go get it unless its off of /4chan/.

    so, here.
and, you can't steal these because they belong to mods or wellknownkids on KHI, so they'll gout you if they see you with them, man'g.

    oh hai :o

Make duplications of the render, or find textures/images that fit this concept and distort/smudge them and re position them/flip them to create good placement.

The render needs to be blended in more.
Text needs to be brought closer to the render.
Needs a focal - light source - something of interest for the eye to attach itself to. Lacks direction, and the effects are just shoved in the background for the sake of.

    The border feels generic.
It looks a mighty bit better without it.

    The tag needs more dimensions.
Add more effects to him / and mix in new colors to give it a feel that's more original than what you've executed.

I'd suggest playing around combinations in pastel esque lighting, line&custom shape tooling, and mixing textures.

Generally, I don't feel anything special in these avatars other than the symmetry between the jaw lines and the length&width of the avatars. Add some effects. Play with different options.

there's no connection between the render and the background
Not just in terms of effects, but over all concepts.
The color schemes of each lack harmony in complimenting one another.
There's no feeling of flow or direction. The effects and colors are flat, one dimensional and saturated.

The text shouldn't be so sharp.
    Experimentation is encouraged here.

    Be bold.
    Be bright
    Be vibrant.

the grunginess of the style with this particular render..hamtaro..of all things doesn't feel right as a single tag.

Needs contrast in the back to create the illusion that he's /still/ standing in front of something rather than just looking at a clean, solid image without any depth.

Also needs more variation in effects. I like the spark down there. It would be interesting if you played around with them in creating more of an /explosion/ at the bottom, not completely, recklessly engulfing them, but serving as something with more likelihood to catch the eye.

Next, is color. Either add in some vibrant shades, or some pastels to make this little one pop out its womb. Then play around with their compliments, and opacity variations.

At the moment, even with the edits, it still feels one dimensional and passive.

You have a good eye for cropping it in spots that people most often like to see emphasis. Not to mention, you've improved in your use of contrast.

Now the only thing that seems to be amiss are a few extra kick - in effects. Sparks, partial eccentric typography, stripes, dashes, polka dots, layered blended textures.

    They're nice in simplicity.
But they're missing that /wow/ factor in lack of something else to look at once the eye gets accustomed to their strength in composition.

I have a whole legion of friends who have both been diagnosed WITH bipolar disorder, and flip their emotions on a dime to the point where they consider themselves that way, anyway.

    Personally. I go through similar.
I can jump from being affectionate with someone to threatening to rip the skin off of their skulls. And I usually express this verbally.

Until you come in contact with medication, its only a matter of having at least some control over your emotions and your reactions to different situations.

The concepts and coloring are fine, but it feels as if it needs more of a setting..cars, roads, signs..people even, to give it more of a flavor.

    Otherwise, it feels flat.
    Regardless of the style

The text needs sharpening, and it feels as if its seriously missing a background to create more of a version of depth, to help compliment your nice balance of brightness&contrast here.

The negative space is fine, but again, I think you'll need at least some sort of canyon / rock face in the BG a bit more to help associate your approach.

I'd also suggest to experiment more with font selections.
It feels as if Impact wouldn't be the only good choice for that typography.

It's cute, but I think you've met the peak of your playtime with this style.
I encourage you to expand beyond just using compliments of text&tooling to build a tag.

    Ditto with the splatter brushing.
For this piece in general, its missing more of a variety of shapes to help everything come off with more of an /edge/.

In all honesty, the lay out's a bit boring to me.
I understand that it's meant to be simplistic, but its missing those textures needed to give it that 'age old' feel, rather than merely using a rusty/light teal back ground.

The font choice was nice, but I think that something a little bit more Victorian would have suited it better. The 'pendulum finally falls on the poet' should be better aligned, and more together as a phrase, placement wise. Next to that, the font for that should be a step beyond the Arial or Times New Roman - esque family. Maybe something more crisp.

Even though the minimalistic Raven - theme is nice, I think that you could have branched into a more variety of themes to fit its simplicity, concept wise.

Concepts that also fit for that era.
War, classic forests, quills, parchment..old ink splatters, clues to give it more of a /reach/ to the era in which it was based.

    Needs work in every aspect.

The effects are too clumped together and need a sense of direction.
The composition's choppy, and the stock choices /quality wise/ should be better. The tags lack depth and the color choices should range into different color palettes.

The typography is predictable and I'd encourage to play with other font families rather than the traditional 'handwriting' style. The inner/outer glow also doesn't add to it.

The light sources should be based in one direction.
    Focals need work.

The colors should be more intense.
    Needs depth, too one dimensional.
The typography should be rounder and more crisp, and less 'blocky' looking. Play with the fonts. Don't just use standard ones of the tag has an interesting, or pop inspired concept.

Could also be done without the border.
