    Little Monster here to help.

It is part couture (She wears a lot of big designer names and also underground boutique designers across the globe).
The meat Dress was actually an extension of a meat bikini she wore for vogue japan (a double cover edition with the other cover having her in drag)
It was for shock factor and her excuse of feminism was last minute bullshit to defend it. Honestly her best reason would have been to say "It's no more crueller than leather but you all accept that as fashion aand this as dinner" and the true offense was more from her wearing it on the Ellen show than on MTV (Ellen is a big vegetarian so it clearly offended her but the interview was recorded directly after the show so that was...meh).

She knows the industry well, she has spent two years trying to make it before she did in 2008 so she knew that channeling madonna would work very well and it has. She raised a bar and broke a barrier that only people like madonna could do and keep commercial success (so now everyone pushes out this new ground to keep up).

I will make one very sharp point. She CAN sing. I was there in person three times and I know what miming looks like and she is horrendous as miming, she is live with backing track for dance songs (she sings over the backing track which covers up when she is out of breath for dancing, many popstars use it) and 100% raw and live with her piano ballads.

She also can write excellent pop songs. The lyrics are her 100% and she makes good dance pop hits but she has good variety in her work.

I love most of her fashion, people say it all for attention but its not. Even when the paps aren't obviously there she still dresses oddly as part of her persona as she is an entertainer and it is part of why fans like her. She may dress skimpy sometimes but its not for people to fap over (her fanbase is gay oriented and she supports them regularly) in reality dressing skimpy is a form of feminism. Why must we dress drab to make a point? I will be in skimpy clothes because I like them, not because men like it.

We don't question men being provocative as much (they can talk about sex and dress as lazy or as smart as they please and not get as brutally judged but women get called whores for being openly sexual).

Theres a lot of provocation annd thats a good thing in art and fashion, if you never push the envelope you'll never get anywhere.

His rapping style has already changed from the recovery album.

Rihannas 'love the way you lie Part II' and Nicki Minaj's 'Romans Revenge' show his rappings different from recovery. More angry shouty-ness now.

One friend suggested it was the lack of drugs in his system that caused this XD

And disgustingly hard to learn...I survived one year of that and I just shot my brain when we started doing full-blown essays that are as complicated as a seven year old japanese child writing what they did over the summer. The only thing I can recall is hiragana, katakana and some kanji.

Only Utada makes it onto my ipod with Ultra Blue but thats moreso down to its sound inspired by 80's ethereal wave which is awesome.

I don't mind them too much, i have 'that' album with 'that' song on it. (i think you know what I mean) but i found it after a tv advert for britains next top model in 2007, not twilight.

I'm meh or woo with them mostly. It's either just nothing special or its decent. I think they'd suit more a sound with an electroninca/synthesier tinged orchestra ballad sound than the progressive rock they chose to go into.

I get ashamed of anyone hearing my music in any language. I don't want them to judge my collection like I don't judge theirs. I don't click with what music they find and listen to and they don't get much of my collection (I have an odd mix of modern music of different genres and some bands from the 70's/80's/90's) I like having songs from singers like rihanna and katy perry before everyone else gets them however (albums leak online before they hit stores often) and love knowing a song so well before it beomes a commercially successful single.

I do find it annoying when people mention they like this singer so i play my favourite song (which is hardly ever a hit single, an album track) and they're like :o huhhh? Like they only know whats on radio and selling like mindless chickens that skip songs on albums like ignorant silly people (give the song a go or two you may bloody like it)

Being a dedicated little monster who frequents one of her fan forums and has seen her live twice I'll say yes i have because I judge by albums, not singles (but of course they need a catchy single so you actually delve into the album).

It's funny you mention those both, they are two of the filthiest songs on the album and sung together live on her tour (Monster then teeth).

    Covers

The best cover is when you can't tell its a cover. Or it crosses into a brand new genre (and changes the tempo) Just playing a pop song with the same chords except on a guitar loudly instead of a synthesiser is not original or creative It just using a music notes sheet with an instrument you know well.
I'm not against alterting lines but only when doing the point. I don't like changing a song to suit your gender (like boys changing i kissed a girl to be about kissing a girl but still straight sounding, when its about drunk shallow homosexual kissing/lipstick lesbianism or changing a womans love song to make it heterosexual sounding for a male artist) but changing it to a altered situation is alright. I don't mind keeping the chorus and changing all the verses if its still the same message in your style.

You know that cheesy olivia newton john song physical? (Let's get physical, physical Let me hear your body tone, your body tone) well an uk Electronica band called Goldfrapp remade the song in a different tempo, more sensual and only kept the chorus the same and the note progression but used different instruments and called it UK Girls (Physical) that was a good cover.

Many people moan when people cover famous bands from years ago but it depends in my eyes. A 70's band called siouxsie and the banshees covered a beatles song called helter skelter and i liked it a lot (the cover is ironic as Siouxsie & the banshees were a heavier rock band than the beatles but helter skelter was the song in the 60's that paved the way for louder music so the cover is softer than the original).

Another cover that works well but is risky is a cover of pink floyd's comfortbly numb done by us pop/glam rock band Scissor Sisters (they turned a psycadelic rock song into a dancey disco song).

I have heard some utterly useless covers in my time though aswell, like its just an imitation of the original song which seems so karaoke sometimes (90% of the rubbish on reality singing shows for example)

To me it seems as if glam rock and glam metal died in the 80's and I don't know why.

There's no shame in being a bit weird on stage and rocking out too, and if you love to wear glitter and/or heels too why not?

So we have 2010's answer to this issue and these boys are called Semi Precious Weapons:

Yes those are silver heels bigger than anything typical girls go out partying in.

Ok on left we have stevy pyne; guitarist and editor of their video diaries.
then it is Justin Tranter, hot bisexual genderless sea creatre [as he says himself] vocalist of the band.
Cole Whittle. He's not level headed like bassists usually are, so the band is crazy.
Finally Dan Crean on the drums; he's rather good but shy.

They employ a ideal of filth glamOUR and created a music scene in new york, brooklyn I believe right in the middle of hipster indie bands too [brave boys]. They've known Lady gaga for years she used to open for them and at the present day it's the opposite wa around as they open her monster ball tour.

They swear, only the singer likes men [and women, he's bi] the rest are just crazy hetrosexual who are gifted musicians and hidden geniuses [the drummer could compose a symphony with his uni degree].
They are rock but they're so much like gaga due to glamour, ideals and music tastes [to listen to, performance wise they're different] and filthy mouths.

Their album is out in the uk now but it's being released June 29th for America and Canada because gaga's tour is starting up again then, australlia and new zealand must wait til july sadly. To wait the time they have an ep with three tracks off the album on itunes now [nearly every global itunes too mind you].

Latest single is Semi Precious Weapons [eponymous title I know] and the music video is here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FufQs6oeEDI (coarse language edited away)

Also Lead singer Justin designs jewellery that are like guns and heart with holes in them and other grim stuff on this site: www.thefetty.com

Errm thats the basics anyone want more info or knows of these boys then please discuss or message me, etc.

    She's a hot mess regardless ;p

The album is really...tame. Tbh she's been dressed this skimpy for ages like since the royal variety performance last year.
The video isn't so skanky it's showing children to dress tough if you want to and tell people not to control you, pretty good individualism message there.

And if it's too sexy well...children are going to be exposed to the dark world at some point and it's getting more skimpy and being seen by younger people in this day and age.

I remember Britneys music career hitting off, that was as skimpy as mileys video but in 1990's standards of skimpy and suggestive I think.

Sound is one element to music but lyrics matter to people also and understanding them usually can help.

I had no care for English music ages ago but like nowadays I adore english music but love a sneaky cheeky Ayumi Hamasaki song playing on my headphones. To me Lyrics can add to a song because the lyricist and composer aren't always the same person or there's more people involved with one than the other and like...lyrics usually represent who the singer is for that song and how they feel when they play it and want you to interpret that meaning and the music composition alone might say a different story [example would be like with a band the singer writes the music but typically the rest of the band composes the music so it's not the singers compositions of music]

It's not like your friends gave you the wtf switch this off face for a english band they know of but had no clue their first album was an indie rock/punk record that rocks but they don't appreciate a rock track when a black woman is singing apparently and prefer her singing soul and pop [it's the noisettes I'm referencing btw] that was embarrassing for me badly.

You've never listened to all classic all girl metal band Vixen?

Check those bad ladies up! Messy glam metal feathered hair, five inch heels [even the drummer] and songs that're varied.

Also modernwise the darkness a now disbanded british metal/rock band were awesome with the lead singer Justin Hawkins falsetto pitches and his work in his new band hot legs is good stuff too.

British bands are good bands, some are unsung heroes but good bands.

    Lady Gaga

    Frisky?

XD I guess people look at the superficial glamerous surface she keeps on many of her songs while theres very often something underneath it with a deeper meaning.

Telephone is her lastest single and thats really a song about her fear of strangulation and how work rules her life with little time for fun (hidden under the lyrics of course) and her next single will be Alejandro about her fear of men and the video will of course be a genius creation that a drug addict couldn't even fathom while high.

    Lady Gaga

Right now Gaga is in Japan about to start her four date stint in japan then it's to europe and uk for may/early june then come june 28th she's in america touring til september 19th.

She's doing fine health-wise The only time she cancelled any concerts was back in January from exhaustion.

And on the first night in New Zealand which was recent; well yes she was on her back for the whole of Bad Romance but herself and her opening act have said it was just jet-leg and its not serious.

She's been in the recording booth recording new songs for her next album in her spare time. I saw a picture of her arriving in Tokyo and she looked very well in her giant platform boots.

    Lady Gaga

Basically a little thread to discuss the musical marvel thats gaga.

She's moe than a pop singer, she's a performance artist and a visionary of fashion and wearing haut couture.

She's been touring worldwide since November 27th practically butchering her health away (she took only one weeks break back in Janurary and there been and odd few days or two weeks here or there) and when she had only 23 days and completely reinvented her whole tour for when she took it to the UK and yeah I've seen it twice (going on three soon) and I can see each show is different, at least for her words and outfits.

She's pop; but she has rock roots and real vocal talents. I love her a she inspired me to be myself and have fun (her aim is for people to be ok with themselves and the can be weird cos it's ok)

This could be an appreciation thread/discussion thread whatever really.

    LOL on the ugly claims...

I'd say theres at least 8 doctors that look worse than matt (with Tenant and Davison being the only ones to look more handsome).

And the word geronimo will probs only be mentioned twice; though the doctor does usually have a catch phrase [tom baker and jelly babies].

I'm excited for Peter Moffet's era as he is a brilliant writer and did some of my favourite episodes so far.

[Well lets hope I did this well...I'll take being a member of team 1 if thats ok]

    Username: Bubble Master Califa

    Name: Yoichi Yamanaka-Nara

    Gender: Male

Personality: Let's imagine something between unique and strange with a sprinkle of intellect. He's odd but he's quite chatty and friendly once he grows to know people. He prefers the handle of a pen over a kunai but when provoked can be quite an apathetic killer.

    Appearance:
Well sorta like Alex james in this pic (The hair and body type): http://i225.photobucket.com/albums/dd145/Bubble_Master_Califa/RP Stuff/424116353_c6ec3ca93b.jpg

With this Jacket, scarf and sunglasses (The scarf is usually worn around his neck in except in climates with extreme weather like hot, cold or rain and the glasses are hidden in them except for battle and those climates because they've got goggles hidden beneath the first layer of spectacles like Gaga's shades in the paparazzi pic): http://i225.photobucket.com/albums/...ifa/RP Stuff/GagaJacketandScarfwithshades.jpg

And the eye make-up here without the tear marks unless we go to Amegakure then that happens: http://i225.photobucket.com/albums/dd145/Bubble_Master_Califa/RP Stuff/TheFamemonster.jpg

And as a Yamanaka he loves flowers but has heyfever so he has a synthetic flower corsage on his wrist a bit like this thing on her head but wayyyy smaller: http://i225.photobucket.com/albums/dd145/Bubble_Master_Califa/RP Stuff/lady-gaga-alejandro.jpg

To imagine the rest it'll just be black skinny jeans with about five belts slung on him with unique buckles (like the main one has a real zippo lighter as the buckle and the rest are like guns, cards, the theatre face and a flower) with ankle high punkish boots with laces.

Bio: Well he's an illegitimate love child of Inoichi Yamanaka's older sister Matsuko and a man who ahem *abused her* from Sai's clan [but his heritage is unknown except it reflects in his artistry skill used in battle and hobbies]. He was raised with love and gained a kind stepfather from the Nara family when he was 12 and adopted the surname to his own determined to keep his roots [ironically he's not blonde like all the Yamanaka's]. His abilities at the mind possesion and confusion jutsu are mediocre as his talent lies in genjutsu based on writing characters[kanji] and make-up [its so good it can be used to reate/keep a transformation justu permanent until cancelled by him]. He has high chakra control and was personally taught by Shizune how to do healing jutsu and some of her poison skills. (Has a history of poor romances so is single and unhappy but coping)

Rank: Chunin for 2 years now.

    Side[Allies or Akatsuki]: Allies

Clan[Ignore this if you're on the Akatsuki's side]: Yamanaka

Jutsus/Affinities: All basic academy skills, Mind possession and mind confusion jutsu, Several genjutsu [some old, some new but nothing overbearing, more defensive than offensive], mystical palm technique [not very talented at, still learning it], Poison removal technique, Poison mist technique and prepared needle shot.

Weapons[If any]: Plenty of Senbon [hidden on him and many poison treated], Some shuriken, a kunai and his favourite little bull whip, [his make-up kit of 100 shades is a weapon as it could take only a few strokes to craft genjutsu]
