I think it was both Sailor Moon and Pokémon, as they came out in the same timeframe. I watched Sailor Moon on Toonami. So, yes, I think Sailor Moon was first anime. Pokémon wasn't far after.

Lexeaus is not a bishounen a.k.a. a bishie. The direct translation of the Japanese is "beautiful youth/boy". What is the connection, when you study the posts, and which every girl has chosen? Young, handsome, pretty and sharp features, not an overgrown wrestler body, but toned and muscled nonetheless. And depends on personality as well, and the attraction it brings. Axel fits the description, Leon does, Riku does, Cloud, Roxas is a mini-Cloud, and already has been said a few times, etc. And shockingly *rolls eyes*, they turn out to be the most popular characters and, surprisingly, the most paired up in yaoi. Gee, I wonder why?. Lexeaus, on the other hand, is older. Overgrown, extremely, muscled, wriggly hair, and a very strong face and cheekbone that seemed to fit the typical rough man. This includes Xaldin and Luxord. Vexen and Xigbar are self-explainable, grandpas. And this is why they are the least popular, ignored organization members. You see tons of pictures of Roxas, Leon, Cloud, Axel, Zexion, and they are in tons of fanfiction with them in it. The others? Nu-uh. Xemnas and Saïx are in between. Not complete bishounen, but appealing aesthetics nonetheless. Sad to say, but it's true. Girls are just head over heels on bishounen. They are so pretty...
