I tend to see it as the claim that darkness has staked on him. By submitting to the darkness to find his light Cloud is branded, and to some extent given power, by it.

Mein Kampf: It's about the superiority of the Aryan race and the adorable exploits of a charming young man named Adolf. A must read if you blame the Jews for everything that's wrong with the world.

It's horribly written. I used to think Harry Potter was pretty bad, but this takes the cake.

It's a paradox. It says nothing about whether or not time travel should be invented.

This is wrong. At best you're just misinformed and bullshitting an experience. Unless it's been laced with something else, marijuana doesn't cause a craving (psychological addiction) like other narcotics. What you get from prolonged use (of up to 50-100 joints worth) is a build up of reverse tolerance that simply results in an increased sensitivity to the effects of the drug, resulting in THC to be stored in fat cells where it is released much more slowly; in short you actually require less of the drug to get high. This tolerance may drive certain individuals to seek out other drugs to obtain the same, or a greater, high, but the experimentation with other drugs is driven by a whole heap of other factors.

Now Deathsight44. You said that she also drinks? I'd be more worried about that than smoking pot 6 times a year. It's easier to get addicted to Alcohol than marijuana. There are also plenty of more negative effects that accompany irresponsible alcohol use, which is more often than not guaranteed in the case with minors.

Tolerance has been found to build regardless of the "strength" of the person and this is a sign of addiction. Quitting is simply a matter of allowing the THC to fully leave the system and obstaining

This thread is a contradiction. Debates aren't supposed to go off topic. One thread per debate, so that every angle can be addressed, not just what a bunch of us can ramble on about before you get up in the morning.

Contrary to popular belief, weed isn't addictive if you do once in a while. So asking her is still a very viable option. Just tell her that you value her friendship and her current behaviour is a matter of concern to you.

Well technically speaking, if you invent time travel and go to the future, there's a very high chance (give or take a century or so) that you'll just confirm their account of when time travel was created. they'll most likely have time travel because you would have invented it.
