I have to agree that Twitter is pointless, but one of the major things that people have missed out in here is the ability to protect your tweets so that it basically becomes a 'friends only' network like Facebook. The 140 character limit on Twitter is a pain most of the time if you're writing an essay on something, but in the end, it's just becomes an easier way to keep friends updated in pretty much the same way that Facebook does. ... Of course, Facebook has far more features, but that's the thing that I'm starting to love about Twitter; just the simplicity of it. I wouldn't wanna see 3 pages of requests to join some guy's Mafia game on Twitter when I can get the same thing on Facebook.
