Sora did have a heart. Ironically, that's what Heartless are. Hearts. Born from hearts the people lose. So he did have one.
*sigh* Why do so many people want Axel to get resurrected on the sole basis that they think that he's hot? Tck, fangirls. :P Axel was a wonderful and complex character. His death was tragic and sad, and it shouldn't be ruined by some fanfic-style resurrection. Yes, he could be considered a major character. Yes, he's complex and cool. And yes, he's hot. But he's dead and we have to deal with that. If any sort of resurrection were to occur, in ANY way, it better be the best damn come-back-from-the-dead story I've ever seen. Because his character does NOT deserve to be killed by a botched resurrection. Now, there was something about when Nobodies fade, and their Heartless are killed, the original person comes back. Eventually the XIII Order's Heartless will be killed. So I'm guessing that at least Xehanort's coming back. *rolls eyes* Oh joy. It would be interesting to see what Axel's Other looked like. And what his name is.:D I'm putting my money on Ale. lol I once had this wandering thought that maybe Axel's other was related to Aerith. Don't know why. (Please don't shoot me! It was a VERY random thought, and I tend to get random thoughts a lot.) Noticed that their eyes were the same shade of green. I know there's no way in hell that's happening. But it's still an amusing thought.
I think it was stated somewhere that Namine was created from Sora's body and soul. Maybe an Ansem's Report. But it is a fascinating notion. It may be that the energy of Kairi's heart being released from Sora's body is what caused Namine to be created. Which would explain why exactly she's such a fragile being. I always maintained that Nobodies have feelings... but don't have feelings at the same time. Confusing, I know. I'll try to explain. Roxas said in one of the new cutscenes from FM, the heart isn't something you can see, or maybe even feel. There's just something about the way he said it that seemed to ring true. I think he got that right. People rely on the info given them from in-game characters, but you have to remember, that just like real people, their knowledge can be FALLIBLE. I imagine that Nobodies have the ability to react emotionally, even feel a kind of echo of that emotion. Every Nobody has shown some kind of emotion. (With maybe the exception of Lexaeus, but he didn't say much.) Vexen was just an irascible old dude in general. Larxene was a tempermental byotch. Axel was angry at Roxas for not being remembered. Zexion looked pretty desperate as he was begging for his life. And so on. It's just that they don't really feel connected to that emotion - it doesn't feel right.
I liked Session, but I can't choose between that and Jack Skellington's limit. I didn't even know he had one until I watched a beta-trailer for KH2! It's pretty awesome. I don't something about all those ghosts going around whacking things just.... speaks to my soul? ^_^' Wow, never noticed that. 0_0 I commend you on your very astute powers of observation.
I think he's fine as a loner. In the first Kingdom Hearts, RikuxKairi was plausible, but it looks like he's grown out of it. Personally, Riku's thing for Kairi seemed more like a crush than anything. (And crushes can be pretty extreme.) But they're still good friends, which would explain why Kairi recognized Riku. Namine was an intriguing choice, and completely possible too. For those of you saying Namine belongs with Roxas, people don't have to love only one person. The love would have been very tragic too, seeing as it would have never worked out. That's to say if there was anything there. SoraxRiku... Just no. I have nothing against yaoi, even like some of it (AkuRoku, par example), but... no. Riku and Sora have been best friends for most of their lives. It makes sense that they're close. But that doesn't mean they have the hots for each other. As some other people have mentioned, regarding the scene in TWTNW.... Sora had no idea where Riku was. For a great part of the game, he could have been dead for all Sora knew. Kairi was safe and comfy on her islands, and even when she was kidnapped, Sora knew where she was and that she was safe. (As safe as one can get when a prisoner to Organization XIII, but nevertheless, they weren't going to do anything to her.) So it makes sense that Sora would break down when he finally finds Riku alive. If Riku were to get a love interest, I would prefer it weren't so obvious. Something a bit more subtle. Like becoming good friends with some girl and their feelings for each other gradually growing. Riku seems like he needs someone to confide in. (And no offense to Sora fangirls, but Sora isn't exactly the brightest bulb around.)
I have to say some these I had to laugh at. The images! *rolls around on the ground* I couldn't decide for all of them. 1) Xigbar VS Lexeaus: Xigbar. Guns, really fast teleporting, and he's got a funny accent. 2) Vexen VS Larxene: *pictures Larxene zapping away as Vexen hops around* Yup. Larxene. :D 3) Saix VS Xaldin: Berserker vs. guy with lots of pointy spears and a dragon..... Have to say a tie there. :/ 4) Luxord VS Demyx: Hilarious. For some reason I don't think Demyx would be very good at Luxord's games. *images of Demyx losing at strip poker* :D Even funnier is the image of Luxord trying to destroy Demyx's water clones and Demyx standing with a stopwatch in the background. 5) Marluxia VS Xemnas: Marluxia. Three words. "Scythe" and "pretty flowers". And he may be sexually ambiguous, but at least he's not a whiny little emo. :p 6) Axel VS Zexion: Tie. Axel's got chakrams and fire, but Zexion's got.... Magical mind powers! 0_0 Imagine what kind of mental torture he would inflict on Axel. *ponders if Axel has any unusual... FEARS* 7) Scar VS Hades 8) Jafar VS Maleficent: Maleficent. Hands down. *refers to comic* "I'm the mistress of ALL evil, *****!" 9) Storm Rider VS Groundshaker: Groundshaker. He's SO much bigger than a Storm Rider. He could just squish him with a single foot. 10) Shan Yu VS Oogie Boogie: Oogie Boogie. Although Shan Yu has a falcon and cool sword, that never helped against a Wheel of Torture. 11) Grim Reaper VS The Experiment: Funny thing is, I thought what was meant was the ACTUAL Grim Reaper. But The Experiment would win. He's a figure skater.:D 12) MCP VS Hydra (assuming they were fighting in Space Paranoids): For some reason, I'm inclined to think Hydra. MCP doesn't actually fight, it's Sark that does most of the damage. 13) Roxas VS Xehenort (the second time you fought him in KH1): Roxas. If Sora could beat him, so could Roxas. 14) Ice Titan VS Kurt Zisa:This one was hard.... Ice Titan. He's got flaming ice boulders of doom, and breath that would freeze over hell.

If you think about it, Riku did lose is heart. Remember that cutscene from KHFM, where Mickey tells Riku that his heart was taken to the dark realm when Ansem took over? That's pretty much a separation of heart from body. All you need to make a Heartless. So it is plausible for Riku to have a Nobody. Although it's unlikely that he does. And as for what Riku's Nobody would look like.... One word... *pause* *choir* SEPHIROTH! :D
You do bring up some valid points. Also, the thing with Sora being a Heartless and being renewed wasn't accurately explained. Here's what I think though. Although a Heartless spawns from the darkness in one's heart, it has to take on some kind of tangible form. When Sora was turned into a Shadow, he had a physical form. When Kairi restored him, I guess it kind of made him a new body. (Although a bit inadequate I guess, seeing as Shadows are pretty tiny. That would be why he's incomplete.) The funny thing is, throughout the games, there is nothing dealing with the mind. Just the body, heart, and soul. The heart is the center of emotions, and the soul is that which powers the body. When the soul leaves, the person dies. When the heart leaves, it creates a Nobody. (Don't remember where I read that. Maybe an Ansem's Report.) So when Sora got a new body, I guess he got some new "life energy"? o_0 Sounds kinda weird if you say "got a new soul"... but yeah. That's what I think.
Personally, I never got the whole Heartless/Nobody thing. I understand how they're created and all. But the names are quite misleading. Heartless are created from hearts, while Nobodies come into (non)existence when the heart leaves behind a shell. In other words, Nobodies don't have hearts. But Heartless do. Argh. As for the whole thing with Darkside, I agree with you there. In the first Dive into the Heart, Darkside was spawned from Sora's shadow. A really cool concept if you think about it. :p

Oathkeeper: Was given to Sora by Kairi, when he promised to come back to her. Definitely some kind of symbolism there. Oblivion: A more obscure definition for this word is something like "forgetfulness". That's a big theme in Kingdom Hearts, as well as the fact the Roxas remembers nothing about his former life.
I like the Larxene/Demyx pairing. It's just so cute. For some reason, I imagine Demyx having this kind of insane power over Larxene, able to make her to anything he wants. Demyx: Larxy, deary, get me a muffin from the kitchen please. Larxene: Are you kidding? That's five floors down!... Demyx: *puppy eyes* Larxene: *melts* All right, Demy. :D

Ummm.. no. There's something about the way Jack is portrayed... He really isn't all that charming and funny as in the movie. More unlikeable.

*rereads post* Oh, I'm sorry! Wow, didn't see that. Talk about an oversight. ^_^' But yeah. A keyblade from Demyx would've been awesome. And even though they weren't in KH2, I would love to see what a keyblade from Marluxia and Zexion would look like. Scythe-like keyblade, anyone? I think the reason you only got one from Roxas and Axel is because they were your "allies".
Axel first. Definitely. His character has depth. He betrayed Larxene and Marluxia for plotting against the Organization, yet he himself betrayed it later for Roxas/Sora. Even though he's a Nobody, he seems to be able to feel something. Some think that they saw a tear running down his cheek just before he faded away. I watched the cutscene, but I couldn't say for sure. The image res was aweful. :P But I can say that it looked like there might have been. And he also cries in the new FM scene when he's talking to Roxas. Now, would you be able to cry if you had no feelings, may I ask? He was also nice to Namine. Maybe he was using her or whatever, but at least he didn't treat her like crap. For some reason that's a big plus. Plus fire element, kick@$$ weapons, and gotta love those green eyes. X3 For the rest, it's really close. I haven't ever played CoM, so I never saw Marly myself, but he comes in second. Though barely. Scythe, black coat, and flower element? I have respect for any man that is secure enough in his masculinity to make pink flowers accompany his every movement. And I couldn't believe it when I heard his voice. Very mellow. Like chocolate. lol! I love Roxas and Demyx, can't really put one before another. Roxas is emolicious. Although he does have real problems. (Being nothing more than someone's phantom must pretty aweful.) And he can wield two keyblades and light. (Although I never saw that.) Demyx is just adorable. That spunky, bubbly (get it? ;)) personality and his ubercool sitar. ^_^ Wow, that was long.
Cloud... Because he totally owned those Heartless. And because he looks so wonderful. :P
You do get a keyblade from Axel. The Bonds of Flame. And in FM, you get a keyblade after beating Roxas. Not sure what it's called.
