Not in a way that doesn't cost cards, and once you spend one face-down you're down to four face-downs against a 5 card hand of someone who can't summon. In other words: To prevent the opponent from ever playing Dodger Dragon you lose the setup that forces your opponent to use Dodger Dragon.
So it was a Zefra or Ritual Beast deck that was reched to fight one of those decks. Done. What's the response to dodger dragon > giant trunade?
Where would it be in theme? It's not like there are decks that increase the chances of the opponent activating an effect that would make them discard. Also, it's not like set five and pass is unbeatable with a five card hand.

Welcome back. It's nice to see you, but it sounds like things have been rough for you, and that's unfortunate, so I'm not really sure what tone I should use in response.
Puns almost always get taken out in translation (or the dialogue is left without it being a pun anymore, depending on how blatant it is). Something like changing a name just to accommodate a pun is very unlikely.
When they have jokes like that, they just cut them and add in random dialogue that makes no sense.
Until that card, they hadn't. And I don't watch the anime, so I don't know how the mechanics work. My guess is that they start out face-down in extra deck though, and need to be summoned normally, then on death would go face-up to extra. Although I'm not sure if you can Xyz summon a face-up Xyz.. You certainly can't pendulum summon it, since it has no level.
