The best I was assigned has to be our novel this year; Noughts and Crosses. I cried in the middle of class reading the ending...
OOC: Good timing. I need to go now, too. Bye~! Kumo winced, losing her edge; "A-and wh-what'll you do if I come back?! Why d'you insist on killing me all of a sudden?"
Finally gaining a bit of courage, she glared at him. "About what, exactly? You can't make me want to be a monster."
"Who in the world would want to a a demon, a monster? Not me, that's for sure." She shook her head again.
Slowly, she shook her head. "No. I don't want that." Her voice was quieter than before, slightly softer, too.
"What d'you mean...?" Kumo stared up at him, her eyes still welling up.
Kumo struggled harder, tears forming in her eyes again. "Let go of me!!"
OOC: And Edward probably knew what he was goign on about. XD Kumo struggled in his grip, trying to fight her way free. "You'd just make me a slave to your d-demands all over a-again!" She protested, tugging at his hand with both of hers.
Kumo screamed, stumbling back further away from him, completely terrified. OOC: Think she's a bit creeped out. XD
"Wh-what ARE you?!" Kumo tried to dry her tears, but they kept coming.
I've always wanted an older sibling... They could protect you, and they're nowhere near as annoying as younger siblings. ¬.¬ I have three younger siblings- they all drive me nuts most of the time.
Still crying, she opened her eyes, taking another few steps back. "M-my best f-friend needs m-me... A-and I-I've b-been letting y-you m-mess with my c-control i-instead!"
She shuddered, but clung onto her own control, desperate. "I d-don't want y-you to just u-use m-me like a p-puppet..." She gritted her teeth and squeezed her eyes shut as tears started to roll down her cheeks. "I'M NOT A PUPPET!"
Kumo's eyes flickered open. No. Using Afra's shoulders for support, she pushed herself away from him, shaking, then lifted her hand up in front of her. "I-I... I d-don't want th-this..." She forced out the words like they were choking her, "Th-the o-other me... inside o-of me... wants m-me to fight th-this s-spell..."
Kumo froze up for a few seonds, staring into his eyes, then slowly closed hers, releasing her grip on her arm.
"I'm not weak; I can look after myself, idiot. I just-" She stopped again, unable to think of any reason all over again.
"Because-" She retorted, but was suddenly doubtful; she didn't HAVE another reason.
"I'm not a slave!" Kumo protested, but still didn't move.
She gripped tightly at the slight wound the knife had made on her arm when she'd tried to dodge it, and obeyed Afra's command, simply standing and watching them.
OOC: Okay, I'm pushing Neku in now, since this is just about dead. x] BIC: Just my luck to get a runaway partner... Just my luck to get dumped in this damn game all over again! Neku thought, flicking a wayward spike of his orange hair out of his eyes as he trudged along the street. I can't risk any missions involving noise until I find that kid... He wasn't really looking where he was going, so it was no wonder he smacked into the two ex-reapers. "K-Kariya? Uzuki?!" He took a few steps back, suspicious. "Hey, where the hell did your wings go?"
