A secret boss is someone you wouldn't encounter in the normal story, you HAVE to fight Terranort to end Terra's story, therefore he isn't secret. The secret boss' theme apparantly contains a mixture of rage awakened and the battle theme from the staion of awakening/end of the world.
Why on earth would he need memories of what happened in castle oblivion?! that makes NO sense at all, the events of COM are pretty irrelevent at this point, I agree with Guardian Soul on this.

I personally think that Sora looks like Vanitas because of when Ven merged with Sora, remember, Vanitas was made from Ven's darkness, so maybe after Ven merged with Sora, it caused Sora to grow up to look like Vanitas.
