"Orphan. The police got me. Did you know there's a rule about kids going to school?" She rolled her eyes. "But it's kinda homy here. Like I actually live somewhere, ya know?" She paused. "What happened to your parents?"
"Is it cold where you live? Like...alot of snow or what?"
Matt nodded silently, carving another x into a tree. He suddenly didn't feel right, like there was something there besides Clarisse. He shook his head. It was probably nothing. Just like nothing had growled last night.
Dawn led them just down the road to a small restaurant, nothing fancy but definatly someplace you didn't go to just once. "Where did you ride in from? Do you live far?" Dawn asked as the chose a table.
Dawn laughed. "Okay. Well, I know this great place that serves basically anything you can think of...er...except squid, so don't be planning on that."
"Yeah!" Dawn took a breath to calm down her voice. "I mean sure. What do you feel like having? There are plenty of places to eat."
"And we will." She let him lead her, trusting him entirely.
Dawn laughed. "I woun't call what I do art. It's more in the, advanced doodling section."
"Er...sorry but I'm not really sure, miss Clarisse...I don't really remeber much about it. Perhaps the captain knows." He frowned apologetically for being unable to answer her question.
"I prefer just listening to music and hangin' out most of the time. And sometimes I sketch but nothing too great."
Twilight nodded. "Well thank you for being a gentalman in the face of danger, my love."

"Yeah? I don't hate it eather I mean...school hasn't ever been really fun for me but I like it here with everyone. Even if the food isn't all that good." She scratched Silver behind the ears. She couldn't get over how awesome silver was.
Matt frowned a little. "I'm sorry about your brother..." He muttered. "And I don't really have a past myself. Captain found me alone on a life-boat whene I was three or something and he took me in. I've worked on the Albatross since then."
Dawn laughed and nodded. Taking a seat by the tree. "So how are you liking the school?"
Twilight smiled, taking his hand immediatly. "What kind of question was that?" She asked, giving his hand a squeeze.
Dawn cocked her head. "Why's that? Sleep in or something?" She smiled friendily.
Matt nodded. "I'm with ya there." He mumbled, cutting an x into a tree to show they had been there. "When you say we...you mean your siblings or...?"
Twilight thought of the many things they could do with such magic. To change the world for the better... She looked ahead, wondering how much farther it would be. and what it would look like when they got there.
Dawn nodded. "Good thing. I don't think Max would like it very much to be eaten." She tucked her hair behind her ear. "When did you arrive on campus? I don't remember seeing you around. Well, there was yesterday but not anytime before that."
