Okay, so some of you know i'm a little bit obsessed with this franchise but I don't know why its so good to watch. I mean its a kids show but its got stuff that they won't even put in Torchwood in there and the stories and characters are great in my opinion as they can be serious and comical at the same time. I don't know if its my inner kid speaking but these shows are actually pretty damn entertaining. Compare it with the thing Saban made back in the 90's to the Japanese stuff and you'll see my point. Opinions?
Based on the Devil May Cry series this story takes place a few decades before Dante or Vergil are born. Story After Sparda sealed the gates of hell all over the world he sealed all the souls of the devils he slew in the demon realm not knowing that eventually those same demons would remerge to face his sons. Sparda travelled the world slaying any demons that slipped through onto the other side, his power was not what it used to be but he still was strong enough to destroy evil. Sparda discovered that when he sealed the gates he did not fully seal the souls thus leading to chosen humans wielding Devil Arms. Demons began appearing more often as more and more humans took up Devil Arms and sorcerers began contracting with devils. Sparda went to recollect and truly seal the Devils Arms away but before he could a strange yet powerful demon imprisoned him in a dimension of his own creation and separated him from his current weapons. This demon went and forged a gate to the demon realm allowing demons to attack a city hidden in the mountains called Imperia. Rumour then spread across the world to those with Devil Arms that the city of Imperia held great secrets that could grant them whatever they desire. Many humans began going to Imperia those without Devil Arms and those with Devil Arms. Devil Arms (humans only) (one per person, if you don’t want a devil arm or there are none left to choose you can makeup your own weapon or use something like Nero’s Red Queen but explain its abilities if any) Ifrit -- The gauntlet form of the Fire Devil Ifrit. They have the ability to attack with hellfire. Similar to Beowulf and Gilgamesh. Alastor -- The sword form of the Lightning Devil Alastor. It is as light as air and it can attack with lightning. Cerberus -- The tripartite nunchaku form of the Three Headed Ice Dog Demon Cerberus. It has the ability to attack with ice. Agni & Rudra -- The twin sword demons Agni and Rudra. They have the ability to do combined fire and wind attacks but when one of the two is used by itself they are not as powerful as when together. Nevan -- The guitar form of the Lightning Witch Nevan. It allows the user to summon lightning charged bats to swarm and attack enemies based on the notes of the guitar, it also can transform into a scythe like weapon for close range attacks. Beowulf -- The gauntlet and greaves form of the LightBeast Beowulf. They have the ability to attack with light. Similar to Ifrit and Gilgamesh. Gilgamesh -- A set of gauntlets, greaves, and mask equipped with thruster-like machine built inside. This is the weapon form of an unknown demon but allows the user great use of enhanced strength and combat speed when the thrusters are activated. Similar to Ifrit and Beowulf. Lucifer -- An armor-like apparatus that is capable of summoning spectral blades. This is the weapon form of an unknown demon. Nightmare-β -- A demonic fire-arm capable of firing multiple, reflectable lasers. Artemis -- A demonic fire-arm which can fire multiple lasers at either one or many targets, as well as into the sky, creating an "Acid Rain" effect. Pandora -- A briefcase capable of transforming into different weapons. Its known tranformations are: A Bowgun, Bazooka, Laser Cannon, Gatling Gun, Mobile Missile Battery and Boomerang/Shuriken. It can also be opened to create a damaging light. Yamato -- The O-katana that eventually becomes Vergil’s memento and main weapon. It is capable of cutting through nearly anything effortlessly and can summon spectral blades for distant objects. It was used by Sparda to seal the hell gates. It along with Rebellion are currently Sparda’s weapons. Rebellion -- The sword that eventually becomes Dante’s memento and main weapon. It is a physical manifestation of the users power. It along with Yamato are currently Sparda’s weapons although Sparda uses Yamato more due to Rebellions power being dormant. Rules 1. No godmodding or power playing. 2. PG/13, not too gory and keep the romance to a minimum I’ve seen rps die from contant making out. 3. Fire arms can be used but it’s around the 1970s and only have one (twin handguns count as one). 4. One warning then I’m kicking you. 5. No singing. 6. Try to progress the story and not stay in the same place for the whole RP. 7. Type Showtime! In your other part of the character skeleton. 8. If your using a Devil Arm make sure its one you know of from DMC otherwise you won’t use it properly and will ruin the RP for everyone. 9. No demon hybrids, seriously only Dante and Vergil are half demons in DMC. 10. Do not make things up or try to pull this into a direction that differs from the way Devil May Cry is. 11. Humans do not have super powers, some make contracts with demons which give them abilities based on that demon. 12. Not everyone is one your side, remember that. 13. Be realistic if your making your own weapons instead of a Devil Arm and don’t come up with stupid names or backgrounds. Using his weapon against him he managed to fend him off realising he could use this demon weapon. Leon then headed after more demons until he heard about Imperia and headed out. It’s not obvious what I based this on >.> Plot 2009, the city of Chicago becomes attack by an unknown force. The police can’t handle it, the army can’t damage it and even the secret organisations failed to defeat it. The city becomes terrorised by these things as they plan to move out and take over the rest of the world until a disguised man appears on a motorbike and fights them. Soon the police develop a weapon to combat the unknown force calling it “Rider” based on the man who saved them once before. The police manage to stop the army or government taking the credit for this weapon and become the leading protection of the world through the unknown enemies base in Chicago. CPD (Chicago Police Department) become experts on fighting these unknown creatures through the Rider system they developed. The Rider system is a device that allows the user to access a nano-bot armour that covers the body, it protects the user from a lot harm while allowing them to fight the unknown. When the Police Riders begin to fight the Unknown on equal terms a stronger more deadly enemy rises among the Unknown and defeats the Riders with ease killing the users. With the police force in shambles over the loss of good men and who shall replace the Riders and defeat this new enemy the Unknown begin to resume the world conquest when once again the man who saved them the first time appears, and the power he has is the same as the Riders. What secrets does this man hold? Who will become the Police Riders? Will the Unknown take over the world? Tune in next time to find out. Riders A list of the Rider systems you can pick from. Riders transform via a belt or a watch of some sort. Police Riders have nano-bots cover them and transform them (a bit like Spider-Man Unlimited), the Mystery and Unknown Riders transform in a flash of light that represents their colour. Police Riders Ignis: The user gains the ability to create and manipulate fire from their hands as well as withstand blazing temperatures and coming out unscathed. The double edged sword of the Police Riders as its abilities can harm both itself and others. TAKEN. Gargant: The muscle of the Police Riders, the user can lift things 5 times their own weight. This suit allows the user to harness the power of Earth letting them create shockwaves in the ground and can cause stone to erupt from the ground. This suit slows the user down. TAKEN. Rai: The speed of the Police Riders. The user is able to cast electricity from his or her limbs. The user can also run at speeds that out run cars on the motor way although this may cause tunnel vision and can only be done for so long. TAKEN. Hukan: The user is able to fire a powerful blast of wind from their hands and even fly or hover short distances as well as becoming slightly faster and lighter through the use of a semi-gravity defying mechanism. TAKEN. Litro: The user can create ice from their hands due to a liquid nitrogen mechanism that allows them to release a gas form which freezes with contact to the air depending on the pressure the user fires it at. The user also gains the ability to withstand freezing conditions. Unknown Riders Nox: An Unknown developed Rider system built after they see the Police Riders systems work. It has the ability to use an energy that the unknown use to create blades that can be thrown to explode on impact or used as a sword. When a human takes this form on the system takes over their mind and forces them to want to destroy the Police Riders. Vox: Like Nox it was developed by the Unknown. This Rider system allows its user to create energy to be used as a sword but instead of it being able to be thrown it can extend to greater distances to cut enemies further away. It can also send a large rush of energy which explodes on impact into a pierced enemy or object when it extends. When a human takes this form on the system takes over their mind and forces them to want to destroy the Police Riders. Ragnarok: The final and most powerful of the three Unknown Riders. It allows the user to create and manipulate the Unknown energy into any weapon it desires. It can also absorb other forms of energy through its palms when necessary. When a human takes this form on the system takes over their mind and forces them to want to destroy the Police Riders. TAKEN. Mysterious Riders Genesis: The first Rider to appear and is the original one which the Police Riders where based on. It is able to alter its power using devices called Fuestles which hold a different type of energy that transform the appearance slightly and the abilities. These forms are so he can fight under different scenarios and have their limits. TAKEN. Angelo: A mysterious Rider system that enables the user to transform into a mode which creates a burst of heat that damages everything in range when transforming. In its first mode (called Angelo form) it uses “heavens judgement” an attack that creates a incredible amount of heat in the palms of its hand and melts anything on contact. When in its second mode (called Nelo form) it allows the user to activate the weapon arrow sword which is a sword that fires bolts of lightning from its tip. In both forms it can use a large chakram like weapon that creates a heated electrical charge when spinning. Chaos: The last mysterious Rider system. The user is able to manipulate a dark matter like source to engulf and damage his enemies. This can also create shadow like minions for brief periods of time. The user of this Rider system will attack any Rider, human or unknown as the system forces the user to crave destruction. Rules: 1. He defeated the Unknown for a short while and then travelled around parts of America until they returned a year later and he returned to help the Police Riders while remaining unknown to them. Personality: Childish at time and likes cute things (like teddy bears) but he never boasts his own strength. Weapon: a Sword which is part of his Rider form which changes into other weapons when he transforms into other forms. When the Unknowns attacked he was just a civilian caught in it but when the Police Riders start to match the Unknown he is approached by an Unknown who in its dying moments forces Max to use the Rider system he has. He equips the belt and instantly is transformed into the final Unknown Rider Ragnarok. His mind is taken over and he easily defeats the Police Riders killing the people inside the armour. The original users of Ignis and Rai are the ones he killed the others where killed by Nox and Vox earlier. Personality: As Max he’s a very work obsessed guy but as Ragnarok he’s a relentless killer. Story Time becomes distorted by the events of the Kamen Rider worlds, the worlds become one and the time resets itself. Now on the one planet the powers of the Kamen Riders have been given to new people while the true Kamen Riders are trapped inside a void due to the time catastrophe. The different enemies from the 9 worlds become one new race called “The Plague†and begin destroying the city where the time rip began, Tokyo. The powers of the former Riders where given to new people and the nine Kamen Riders where reborn but in the midst of it all the tenth Rider, Decade, reappears. The Plague disguise themselves as humans to hide themselves until they have to attack, they are on a mission to destroy time as they where created as a side effect to the time restart. What is roleplaying? Essentially roleplaying is much like playing a game and writing a story at the same time with many others. It could easily be referred to the “create your own adventure” books. A roleplay itself is when a group of people or just one person creates a story, setting, etc and others join to develop the story with custom made characters or characters that can be selected from a list. Roleplays are exspansive and can be based on anything. At KHV we have seven categories, these are: Real life, this is for roleplays based on real life such as school or work based environments, they have little action but simulate real life scenarios. Movies and media, this is for roleplays based on movies, tv shows, music or any other form of media besides games. Crossovers, crossovers are as the title says, when one or more different subjects combined. The example from the site is “an RP that is KH meets Lost”. Anime/Manga, yet again self explanatory. This section is for anime and manga based roleplays. RP extended, This section is for the extremely creative roleplays. Expect long, gripping posts and storylines here. Fantasy/Sci-fi, Anything that falls under fantasy or sci-fi goes in here. This is where the bulk of average creativity appears seeing how most things on peoples minds are mythological creatures such as unicorns or aliens and hi-teck gadgets. General, This is the place which connects all the above sections. It is the first area you will go in from clicking roleplaying on the main forum page. This section is specifically for Kingdom Hearts roleplays as well as other games. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ 2. How to create a roleplay. Creating a roleplay can either be simple or difficult. When creating a roleplay have some ideas on your mind and try mix and matching until you get something you like. A few things I would personally consider for creating a roleplay are: A wide range of choices for other members A easy to understand but not too simple plot that can give members an idea of what their characters should aim for. A few extra rules that will stop your roleplay from going out of control Preview posts, I find it good to always ask for a preview post to understand the members ability. Attempts at your plot being easily manipulated by other members without it ruining your story. When you have a few paragraphs (or depending on how much detail you want to go into) for story, setting and other things such as races add your rules and your character skeleton/OC form and you’ll be all set. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ 3. Creative thought and detail The point of roleplaying is to be as creative as possible while sticking to a plot with a character. When your being creative take your time while writing it, this way you can prevent errors in spelling, grammar and length of posts. Most people prefer 3-6 lines a post with the occasional 1 line if your having trouble but it would be better if you could push the average and go father, you would have to do this in the RP Extended section anyway seeing how it is meant for long, detailed and creative posts. Tips of creativity: Try to get ideas from anywhere you want without ripping off anyone or thing. When writing try to cover as much as possible even if its just the simple movement of removing a hat. Expect anything to happen and keep options open. Sometimes talking with others in VM or PM conversations about the RP can help. Use colours to help you describe. When putting detail into your posts try to use as much description as possible, even if that means massive posts. Descriptive words are useful in this situation, try using a sequence of them (usually up to 3) to try getting your point across. An example would be : The dark, cold, wet corridors reeked of sewage as the man reached the source of the problem with each step. As he came closer his navy blue jeans and brown leather boots became soaked in the foul water. Once close enough he could see clearly that the sewage pipes had burst and water was gushing out and flooding the corridor. Quickly looking down he could see and feel the sewage reach his knees. Notice how I did more than just a small amount and made sure that it was all connected so it wasn’t that he was suddenly from the outside to the inside. Colours help some people to think or feel as if they are there, they are the perfect tool for description. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ 4. Character Development Characters have to have an impact like it was a real story, film or game otherwise it could ruin the flow for creativity. Most people prefer to give their characters a history, personality or base them on another character, this allows the user to give the character a drive to push them forwards or a way of acting that is different from your own and makes things much more interesting. While in the RP you can use your characters traits to create situations that wouldn’t of happened if they had no traits such as if your character came across a switch that did something but it was unknown what they would be able to ponder on the thought or use it from curiosity instead of just simply pressing it from the get go. Since there is more than one person in a role play you can use your characters traits along with others to have situations or events that wouldn’t happen if you where both as plain as paper. An example would be when your character is talking to another persons character you could use multiple emotions based upon back-story or personality. Tips on Character Development Use a history/personality or base them on already existing characters from elsewhere. Allow interaction with others. Talk with other members in PM, VM or OOC to plot ahead. Take your time. Another point about character development is that you could even base your history/personality off the description you make or image you find for your character. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ 5. Story development Much like character development story development is useful for giving characters something to do or to progress the plot in mind. First you’ll want a plot, so come up with any plot you have in mind be it a crossover between shows, something original or something based off of something else. Once you have a plot try to think of a what you want characters to aim for, a common example would be “the ultimate weapon” which is used in the game Soul Calibur and many roleplays. Now that you have an idea of what you want to do and what you want others to do post it and wait for people to join. If enough people join you can start your roleplay, now that its started make an opening post that should set the scene, push the plot into a start and introduce characters much like a story. Keeping to the story may be difficult at times due to others but an easy solution is to have a rule saying that you want the story to stick and not have something like a fantasy with swords and magic turn into a Sci-fi with guns and experiments. Story development require imagination and thought and since I’m not an literature teacher I can’t teach you how to use that to your full potential so for some advice think of your school work or if your no longer at school or can’t remember any then think of movies, books, etc. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ 6. Character Skeletons/OC forms A character skeleton or OC form is for members to create characters, quite simple but as I have noticed some skeletons are left a little bare with only like Name, Image and power, that is not a true character skeleton, no offence to anyone but it is just lazy to do it that way. An example of a basic OC form is this: Username: Name: Age: Race: Appearance: Personality: History: Weapon: Other: (optional) Preview Post: I’ll explain each part now. Username, Simply this is just your username so you can claim that this is your character for yourself. Name, this is where you put your characters full name. Age, another obvious one, this one if for age which depends on the story sometimes. Race, this isn’t always in the skeleton but when it is it is for you to put what sort of race your characters race such as Humam, Elf, Demon, etc. Appearance, this is for you to describe your characters appearance, a.k.a. what they look like. Some people use pictures. Personality, like mentioned in section 4 this is where you put your characters personality with as much detail as necessary. History, also explained in section 4 this is where you put a detailed character history. Weapon, simply what weapons your character uses, this can either be detailed weapons with powers or just simply regular stuff like swords. Other, a place for anything else you want to add that isn’t in the form. Sometimes you have things to add from the rules. Preview Post, as I hate to say it not many of you use these. When you have ownership this means you have the authority to keep people in check and stop them from breaking any rules be they yours or the sites. As the owner you need to keep your story and rules as you want them otherwise your roleplay will fall apart. If anyone breaks your rules and doesn’t fix it or doesn’t leave after you have asked them to or challenges your ownership you should report to the sections staff. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Anything else you want adding? This is a crossover between KH and Kamen Rider, if you don’t know what Kamen Rider is follow the link http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kamen_Rider_Series If you don’t know what KH is why are you on this forum? Plot: When Decade travels through the 9 Rider worlds he is accidentally thrown through a hole in time. He appears in a new world, nothing like the 9 Rider worlds. He appeared in Hollow Bastion. He invaded the story of KH2 and has altered its timeline, he must now travel through the worlds of Kingdom Hearts to restore balance and find his way back to his dimension but as he does so more Riders fall through into Kingdom Hearts and heartless similar to the monsters from the 9 Kamen Rider worlds appear. The Beginning: Sora receives a message from Leon that a strange man has appeared in town. Sora, Donald and Goofy rush back to discover Tsukasa Kadoya wandering around the ruins of the old castle. They ask him who he is and what he is doing here but before he could answer the Heartless attack. Tsukasa transforms into Decade but as soon as he does Sora’s key blade reacts to the transformation and transforms Sora into Kamen Rider Hearts. With Sora’s new power he easily defeats the Heartless and questions how it happened, he discovers his new form allows him to change his appearance and powers based on his key blade. After the fight Decade leaves without a word while Sora is marvelled by his power with Donald and Goofy. Soon others around the Keyblade will become Riders if Decade does not get back to his dimension before the two universes destroy each other and become one. Notes: At the beginning only Sora has a Kamen Rider form due to Decade, others will gain forms at points in which I will tell you when we come to it. Rules: 1. The people behind the Kamen Riders can either be the originals or the ones from the Decade series. 6. No singing. 7. Type Henshin in your post. 8. Try to progress the story and not stay in the same place for the whole RP without breaking rule 3. 9. Give a preview post for all the characters you want to use so I can tell what level your at and if you can still to character. Okay this is going to sound stupid but I don't know how to do this. I need to be able to convert WMA sounds into MP3 or Wav sounds quickly for a project but I have no idea how to do it. Could someone tell me how? Thanks in advance.

I decided to rediscover the person that I used to be before KHV and came across my CD of the Rasmus album Dead Letters. I had a quick listen to it today and almost died of nostalgia of which I already have an overdose of. After listening to it I basically remembered the times when I used to sit in my room staring at my ceiling and listening to this on my now unplugged CD player. It's basically given me so much nostalgia I almost made a Facebook account. Now then, I want to ask if you: remember the band, know if they are still on going, actually know of or have this album, if you still listen to it or if you too will be effected by heavy nostalgia from listening to it?
