Basically what Haseo said. He randomly sent kairi into a world, hoping that she would show him the Keyblade Master. By luck, she did, which was Riku. he goes to Destiny Island searching for Riku, but finds Sora in the cave. He goes on talking, then leaves again. Later on, he finds Riku, merges with him, and caused Destiny Island to crumble. Since Riku went into the dark side, the Keyblade went to it's alternative choice, Sora.
