Oh really? :P Sorry I didn't even know Noesis could open that file. Anyway TIM2 isn't exclusive to KH. You can open and save TIM2 files with game graphic studio.
Well it's really simple to hex out the TIM2 files. Just open title.img in a hex editor, search for the first time 'TIM2' appears, and select all of it down to the next occurrence of 'TIM2' then just paste it in a text document, and change the file extension to .tm2

Do you mean by vertical stretching/cropping? I was thinking of that, but everything would have to be adjusted because of where the line above New Game/Load Game/Special movie is. Horizontal squashing would work, but things would look worse rather than better in my opinion.
I've finished Sora's KHII voices. :D There are a couple of problems. I had to replace 'Force!' and 'Stop!' with generic quotes like 'Back off!' and 'Ah ha!' because I could not for the life of me figure out how to extract those voice clips from Re:COM. I tried ISO buster, but to no avail. They seem to be hidden.
No, not the mdls extractor. Sorry, his actual extractor program extracts it, and you can hex out the TIM2 files from title.img or whatever it's called. I can edit them, only thing is, I can't increase the resolution of them, because they're loaded by their offset.

An interesting thing to note. While editing the high-poly Sora model, I discovered that Sora's KH1 high-poly hair texture is actually slightly higher resolution than his BBS high-poly model's hair texture. Edit: As in Sora's BBS high-poly hair is exactly the same as his standard-poly hair texture.
Trust me I want to be able to import models as much as you. :p It's definitely possible. It WILL be figured out at one point or another, I'm sure. This game's hacking community is pretty big isn't it? I'm just saying I wouldn't know how to convert, so I wouldn't waste my time rigging (remembering how to at least) if I can't do anything with it. The team that's importing models into Dissidia mentioned that BBS model importing was being 'looked into' once, so maybe that's where to start?
I've got 3DS Max, I used to do model replacements for other games like GTA, but I couldn't convert .fbx to .mdls even if I rigged a model to a KH1 skeleton.
In reply to your prior post, I've already got all of the BBS textures and models, thanks. Also I already tried injecting 2x resolution textures into Sora's .mdls file. The program doesn't allow it. Only some of the textures are higher resolution too. Sora's hair and face are exactly the same size. That's how I was able to do the hair so easily. What we REALLY need is for someone to discover how to edit UV's because right now Sora's chest (zipper) is a tessellated texture, so I had to draw that myself. I couldn't copy his zipper from the BBS model. :( If we could edit UVs, and inject hi-res textures we would be able to nearly recreate 1.5 from a graphical standpoint at least.
Lol. Maybe if you want to hire Haley Joel Osment to re-voice Sora's KH1 dialogue for you personally and then convert it to VAGp.

Yeah, that's what I did to get Sora's textures. I think you misunderstood, he asked if I was going to replace the textures for the KH door at the end of the game with the textures from BBS. I wouldn't know how to repack textures that aren't in the .mdls or .wpn models.
Donald and Goofy don't have their KH outfits in BBS, I'll check if their textures are much higher quality in KH2 though. As for Mickey, he might look a bit awkward wearing a 'fake' shirt. I could see what it looks like though if you'd like. Also the door, I wouldn't know how to replace textures that aren't from *.mdls, or *.wpn files. :/ Sorry.

After all it is vaguely related to 1.5 porting. :D I took the liberty of replacing Sora's textures with the ones from his 'secret' BBS model. Download will be up in my thread later. ;) Edit: I didn't realize how much quality you lose from making a GIF. o_O It looks much better than this.
CrazyCatz, I don't know how you do it. xD You're incredible. I was looking at the .wpn format for hours, and I couldn't for the life of me discern where the textures are stored. Thank you very much! I REALLY want to do that. xD But without having a texture extractor, or editor like the ones CrazyCatz00 programmed, this would be very difficult, and not worth the effort. I wouldn't even know where to start. Unless someone skilled enough creates a program like that, we're out of luck. I wouldn't dream of requesting this from CrazyCatz00 though, I'm way more interested in the translation patch, and I wouldn't want to slow down the progress.
