After taking a look, some things I can't really make out at all either. It looks like I'm going to have to do most of the gummi missions again. :( Wish I'd thought to write it down first time through. Edit: Also what gives with only some of the missions having titles? That doesn't make any sense to me.
So far this is pretty interesting. I'm not that far yet, as I haven't had much free time. Just at wonderland. It's definitely not cheap. My only minor complaint is that starting off with all these abilities actually seems to have made the first bosses, Darkside, Squall, Guard Armor, easier than normal. Maybe you could make it like KH2FM where you gain abilities from bosses, like tell the player to edit the pnach after bosses to give themselves certain abilities. I know the difficulty will ramp up from here out, it was just a suggestion. :P I especially noticed having guard, and dodge roll so early made a fool out of Guard Armor.
It's a single texture that changes color.
It's certainly possible. I just don't know where those textures are stored exactly. I think they're in the .mdls files for each character, but I could be wrong.
While on the subject of camera control, how difficult would it be to move the camera farther away from Sora? At about the distance it is in KH2 I hate getting blasted by projectiles that come from just off screen.
This may be a really stupid question, but I'm no programmer. If you found out what file the hard coded texture resolution was located in, couldn't you replace it with the same file from 1.5? IF things aren't moved around. If not, oh well. It's really not a big deal.

I checked every NPC over and over again when I played through, but I didn't see any that stood out. Do you guys already have the Sephiroth cutscene dialogue?
What I'm really interested in knowing is if everything that can't normally be edited could be copied over. Like hard coded texture resolutions. Could we take, for instance, the uitex.bin from 1.5, and use it in the normal KHFM? Also wouldn't this make it easier to port the reaction commands over? At the moment I'm not sure if this is a good or bad thing. I hope people wouldn't just port the HD assets from 1.5 into KHFM, without paying for 1.5. The less people buy 1.5 means less of a chance that they'll release a 2.5 remix. They said as much in an interview.
Crazycatz, did you get the gummiship pictures? Also if there's anything else you guys need, I can get it out of the way. Do you guys have all of the added text bubble scenes from 1.5? Like what the princesses say before the Xemnas fight, ect.
I can, I was just saying that I can't unstretch the HUD when playing in 16x9. :/ If someone knew where the coordinates were stored, I could make it look really good. :(

Sorry, guys. It's not possible to just anamorphically squeeze the HUD. You'd also have to mess with the coordinates of the textures, because the HP bar is made up of like 3 different textures, and if you just squeezed them it'd be separated. I'd post a picture of what I mean, but I'm not at a computer right now, it'd look something like this. __ __ __ )
OH! Jeez. Slow day today I'm pretty exhausted. xD Sorry! Enemy HP bars are also in uitex.bin, but the colors are determined by the game, so I could change the style, but they'd still be green/yellow/orange/pink/purple/purple.
That's not exactly what I meant. I was learning how to find vertex and bone x,y,z coordinates in hex, and I couldn't find them in .mdls files. I've already looked at/messed with them in 3DSMAX, but the bones aren't named. They're just called bone 000, bone 001, ect. HUD textures are in uitex.bin, except for character face textures, which I think are in the mdls files.
This is possible. I can do this if you want. I'd just need to rip KH2/Re:CoM HP bars with texmod.
I looked into cfw, but my model can't be downgraded AFAIK. If only it were as easy as the PSP. Anyway this sounds really interesting. Are the ARDs ridiculously encrypted?
What about the HP bars? I can edit those textures, and already have if that's what you mean. I could change them, or recolor them. I just didn't see the point. Look at 'UI fixed for HD' in the OP. If you mean the character faces/mugshots on the HP bars, I think those are inside the mdls files as well.
Ok I understand now thanks. Is there any change to the functions of armor, outside of 'You cannot increase elemental resistances.' This is sounding really great. Will probably start on this tomorrow.
I probably could do boss/scripted fight videos, not an entire play through, also I've only done lv1cm in KH2FM with no armor/stat boosts, so I have no idea how difficult this will be. :P I've read through your restrictions, and they don't look cheap. Keyblade abilities are exciting. Thing is, I might get some lag if I record on my PC, which would make it more difficult. If I record, I get lag even on native resolution. :P I could play on an actual PS2, and borrow my friend's recording device, but it seems like I would have to reboot code breaker every time I changed weapons. Also why is 60fps required and what does NTSC mode do before I download?
I'll try this side by side with 1.5's lv1pm, when I get around to starting on it.
