A game that takes place in the Metroid Prime universe, Metroid Prime: Federation Force puts players in the position of a Galactic Federation Marine and assigns various missions all around the galaxy. The game has a large focus on multiplayer co-op, offering various missions to play with friends, and featuring a multiplayer minigame called Blastball (first shown at the Nintendo World Championships). Despite the focus on the Federation and co-op play, Samus herself will appear, and there will be a single-player campaign mode that contributes to the overall story of the Prime universe. The game will be released for the 3DS in 2016.
