It was safe to assume that maybe there were players, but why would they start a fire? The smoke grew thicker and covered a wider range. Civia's eyes widened in realization. A forest fire. Without panic overtaking her thoughts, her eyes darted from one side to another, seeing if there was anything she could use. She quickly spotted a well, but it would take a few people to stop the fire. She frowned. "Better than nothing," she said, making her way to the well, not at all taking her time.

Since nothing specific happened between Birth by Sleep and Kingdom Hearts 1 other than what was stated in the reports and some scenes such as Blank Points, it is safe to assume that Lea was turned a bit later into the 10 year gap. :3 And the Heartless has to be destroyed first, I believe. This Heartless is technically killed after Axel died, since this either happens after Aqua's Wayfinder glows (I don't have BBS FM, alright? >.>) or before she meets Ansem, both of which are after 10 years. I think (goodness, that is unnerving).

I thought it was just old Xehanort? And Xemnas and Ansem SOD are tecnically back, too, as of what I've seen. In regards to the question...I can answer the last one. No Nobody would have been made from Oldie's body because Heartless didn't really exist. The Neoshadows were never explained, as of what I know, but they're probably just beings created from Oldie-Xehanort's pure darkness. And Nobodies need the Heartless first. With everything else, bleh. Nomura just basically took our minds and made them implode with that one. D: Mine, at least.
