I realize the problem with this idea is it would stop 1 thing. and that's an anime meklord emperor deck.
I propose a new set of rules to make it more fun to duel here. I've noticed since Abby didn't actually go full aggro on me, I found it unnecessary for me to use all counter traps or even use all my heralds.. How about making it so that one cannot try countering the opponent's move during the first turn of the duel (with cards like Effect veiler/Troll & Lockbird/D.D. Crow, etc) and limit the amount of counter traps you can set a maximum of 2? Fred also had the idea of making the field the same as Duel Terminal's where you only have 3 monster and S/T zones. I believe it would be the best idea to combine both these ideas and make it so that you are limited to only being able to activate 1 counter trap per turn. This creates more of a strategy to the game. As far as hand traps go, I don't see an issue anymore, but that may change if we ever decide on actually implementing this new rule. I really think the arena needs new rules, so please tell us what you think about this.

Even better than Vanity's Call since it sends all cards negated back into deck instead of graveyard so it stops cards that say "when this card is destroyed and sent to the graveyard" as well as just plainly removing resources that would otherwise be in grave for in grave effects or recycles.
This card is the ultimate counter trap card. Not only can it be activated without being set, but it can negate anything within the same chain as it! And this is exclusive to opponent's cards! So basically it's a Vanity's Call that does not require it to be activated in a certain chain link nor has a cost and can be activated from the hand.
before anyone gets hurt by wannabe Z-One, ban this counter trap. it can activate from the hand! No one activates traps from the hand except Z-One! (tachyon transmigration)

I use time lords instead. more amusing summoning 3 sephylon and 2 metaoin with 4k atk. plus, monster reborn is banned, so slifer can;'t be summoned in such a deck anymore.
