This thread is gay.
Yeah, that's "New Slang", haha The first 7 tracks of "Chutes Too Narrow" are all really great, then for some reason the album goes really..like, folky? and I start not caring for it, ha Then New Slang is on "Oh, Inverted World" which also has '"Girl Inform Me" and "Pressed In a Book", the rest is ehhh "Wincing the Night Away" is probably their best album with most of it being really good, if I tried to give you a list of the songs you should check out on that album I'd probably just list 75% of it, ha So, they're definitely worth checking out whenever you have time. "People Say" by Portugal. The Man
"Black Leaf Falls" and "Neutral Ground" are my favorite, and probably the ones that remind me the most of Conor Oberst "Turn on me" by The Shins I've been on a The Shins kick since this girl told me to stop being generic and only listening to "New Slang" and to actually listen to their other albums. so, I've found them to be pretty fantastic
Well, if it's any indication, that conversation came about because he was defending Nickleback saying that they're not that bad. Also, you should really listen to "Neutral Ground" by Sea Wolf, if you like Bright Eyes then you'd probably really like it. Listening to "Young Pilgrims" by The Shins.
You know, I received a text message today that said: "Indie is all the same shit. Bright Eyes breaks into tearful melodies every other song. Like, crying bullshit, it's terrible. Conor Oberst can go fuck himself and die" Also, "Neutral Ground" by Sea Wolf.
Personally I find that Last.FM does a better job of helping me find new music. It kinda has that whole social-networking-stupidshit going on what with the friends lists and "hey everyone look at what I'm listening to, and look at all these bars and graphs of what I listen to!", but whatever it's helpful.
