How thoroughly should we plan out the story prior to dividing up chapters/writing? I personally think that we should plan the key events of all chapters together, so that we avoid it becoming like an RP, and work out any disagreements beforehand. It'd really suck to get into an author-war, especially in this case, where everyone can god-mod.

That much is believable. Students acting out against a universally disliked peer in an act of mob-mentality. No one would stand against them at the time, and no one would gain anything except contempt and possibly harrassment from ratting out their peers. The best move in that case would be to remain silent. This is different to the case we have here, where it's adults in charge, the legal system involved and parents notified. One would expect it to be handled significantly better.

I'm almost certain there's some catch to the school's actions here. There's absolutely no way that they could be as bad as they're portrayed here. I'm not saying that they're saints, but this just -has- to be exaggerated or leaving out details.
