I understand that there are places in the US like Alabama and Mississippi that don't have great healthcare and really need reform. But where I live, in Minnesota, we have available to us some of the best health care in the country for much less than most other places. The problem with this law is that it tries to fix something in some states that needs it and others where it will cause a terrible loss of quality care. It's so obvious that health care reform should be a state issue and not a national issue. Doing what's right for America isn't doing what's right for a few struggling states and bringing the other prospering ones down. And there is no doubt that this law is unconstitutional. Nowhere in the United States Constitution does it say that the citizens of this nation can be forced into the purchase of a government provided good or service. What it does say is that we cannot be forced into buying a government good or service. There really is no gray area here. The US Constitution is very clear on this issue.
As a Minnesota citizen I can say I'm quite the expert on Ventura. He has never been known for his sanity or intelligence. Either you get felt up and if you don't enjoy that they just scan your body. It's not like they're going to be taking nude pictures of you and posting them everywhere. It's no different from a doctor seeing his patients without their clothes. It's all just a part of the job and in the end will only help us be safer.
