Marry Donnel and when you start breeding units, get Galeforce on as many as possible
Play Lunatic+ Classic Mode for the authentic Fire Emblem experience
I think it's silly to dislike any one system of monetization for a game, I just want something that offers me good value
See, my issue is that even if I had 1.5... I'm basically paying an extra 20 bucks for a small music CD and some packaging
It couldn't be the full OST, that's too much music, six games worth, so they went with a collection of Disney songs with a smattering of the most iconic themes Anyways there's a pretty clear pattern >intro >disney worlds >final world (battle theme for KH1, world theme for KH2) >final battle I assume they went with The Other Promise because it's ridiculously popular. I figure they used Guardando and Fragments because they have the fancy iconic choir bits Seems like a lot of rhyme and reason to me. Clearly they could only fit so many tracks on a CD
Er... but does that really matter if the songs aren't high quality in the first place? You'd jsut be bloating the file size at that point
They're not providing the same product though, one is supplying a full game, the other is supplying a patch to an existing game
Well on that note... how much water does that copyright thing hold? Like Nintendo doesn't shut down the dozens of Mario fan game sites, same with Sega to their Sonic, and so on. It's gone so far as remakes and demakes of their games have come and gone repeatedly, heck Sega HIRED a guy who made a Sonic fan game. And similarly they are at the end of the day providing a modification, there's no way THAT'S universally illegal because most PC games thrive off mods. Or here's a perfectly symmetrical comparison, what about the Mother 3 fan translation? So it seems to me Square COULD have not done this, if they really wanted
Yeah, dumb part of copyright law, but my point is that they should have claimed it early on to minimize backlash
The thing is... anybody willing to emulate the game, and who doesn't care about it having English voice actors and stuff... they're going to get the translation anyways. the Cease and desist doesn't mean a thing now because they waited so long, so all they did was upset some fans who understandably figured their only hope of playing the game was through this method. I mean, you don't HAVE to emulate it, anyways, you can apply the patch to your legal copy. But much like the Final Mixes, it seemed like Square wasn't very interested in their money.
Specifically the KH1.5 + 2.5 bundle. Includes both games, special packaging and a music CD $99.99 USD, 79.99 Europe money, $149.99 Australian Does it seem worth it to you? Only say yes if you'd buy it right away, waiting for it to get cheaper is not an option, for example.
Everyone will want to hear different songs though, and Guardando is the final boss theme, why wouldn't it be there? They're going for inclusiveness, trying to have something for everyone. Really it makes more sense to have a themed CD these days because if people just want to hear their favourites they can EASILY do that through youtube or something
Here's the thing, that might SEEM like a lot, but consider this There are 128 million people in Japan 529 million in North America But that's not even all of it, there's a cultural difference too. It's why we didn't get the Final Mixes in the first place. In general, in North America rereleasing the same game a year later with a bit of extra content would be immensely hated, heck, look at the Last of Us Remastered, that's attracting a bunch of hate. In Japan it's just generally more accepted. I tried finding some exact stats on collector's editions and stuff, no such specific stats exist, what I can say colloquially though is that there's just plain not enough interest in special editions and stuff. That's why Japan gets a bunch of cool special models and stuff for consoles and handhelds. They sell. When they try it in North America it pretty much always ends up not being worth the money to costs to bring over. In fact, now I'm kinda curious, think I'll make a poll and see if I can't get some stats of my own
Does that really matter with this sort of music? I really doubt legitimate high quality versions of it exist anywhere but Yoko Shimomura's office
I mean, it's a pretty obvious motif. Include all the Disney stuff, field themes for KH1, battle for KH2 They can't include every song, that's like 200 tracks. There's youtube for that
No. It's really not. That's content that was withheld from us for years. It's not praiseworthy when someone mistreats you and then doesn't. They should have treated you right in the first place
Yeah how dare they release something that only has a chance of selling well in Japan exclusively in Japan
I HOPE he's more like Zidane than, say, Tiz Bryce doesn't exactly have huge range from what I've seen though
This is legitimately the first time I've ever been excited about a game's box art But EVERY character looks a little off, it's weird
yes but middle of nowhere implies there aren't many people to actually buy one in the first place
