People used to talk about how bold and empowering this song is, before everyone got sick of it
But it's a throne of lies

"The wind is howling like this swirling storm inside"
There is no wind to be heard

"Conceal don't feel, don't let them know"
    "Well now they know"
    "Let it go"
Except she doesn't end up letting it go. The ultimate solution to the problem is for her to never feel anger, fear, frustration, or anxiety, only love and happiness. In other words, in order to prevent the events of the movie happening again she still has to conceal, not feel

"I don't care what they're going to say"
Cares about what everyone says when they actually show up and say it

    "Let the storm rage on
The cold never bothered me anyway"
According to the scene right after this Elsa doesn't know she caused a perma-winter

"The fears that once controlled me can't get to me at all"
Later that same day her fears all get to her

"No right no wrong, no rules for me, I'm free"
Except for never interacting with human society ever again, that kinda limits her freedom

"I am one with the wind and sky"
    No you're not

    "You'll never see me cry"
What happened to getting over the whole conceal don't feel thing?

    "Here I stand
    And here I'll stay"
Gets taken away later that night

    "I'm never going back"
    Goes back

"The past is in the past"
Still cares when confronted by the past

It just seems funny that this is used as such an empowering song in the media and such, and yet it's basically just a list of dramatic irony in song form

In general, besides certain communities, if you talk about sex, the general consensus is "it's perfectly natural, nothing special, and nothing to be ashamed of"
But is this a mentality we want to strive for? To normalize sex?
I obviously can't speak for every human being, but I've analyzed general trends in media regarding this subject.

From what I can tell, on some level, most people are aroused by the inherent 'wrongness' of sex, or romance in general. A lot of stories dealing with a stagnant marriage or something will usually have the couple try a new, more out there sexual act. Off the top of my head, there's a Simpsons episode where Homer and Marge reinvigorate their sex life by doing it in public places. To get a bit broader than that, most of our most popular love stories, or jsut plain stories in general, deal with or are central to forbidden love. It doesn't matter if it's a rich person getting together with a lower class person (Romeo and Juliet) a rich person getting together with a poor person (Titanic) a rich person getting together with a poor person (Star Wars Episode V) or a girl getting together with a vampire and a werewolf (Twilight)

Personally, I think this has something to do with wanting to perceive the act as something more special, or unique, in a world where sex is slowly becoming less vilified.

Because that's the thing, why is little Tim-bob supposed to think there's anything special about boobs when he reaches puberty when he has already spent his life growing up around bill boards, TV and whatever else that just show it as another casual part of your day to day life?

I dunno, anyone think this is an actual thing? I feel like achieving a world where sex is truly accepted and treated as completely natural would either lead to significantly decreased birthrates or increasingly bizarre ways of having sex in an attempt to keep some level of taboo to it

Something occurred to me while reading that topic over in the Days section.
Days makes it so that everything Roxas ultimately does is tied to her, but at the end of the game Roxas loses his memories of her. This means that Roxas (AND everyone else in the Organization) would have HUGE portions of their memories COMPLETELY rewritten. That one time they had a meeting SPECIFICALLY to discuss Xion? What happened on that day now?
But yeah, ultimately a lot of Roxas' negative feelings towards the Organization, and questioning his own existence and his having the keyblade all stem from Xion... so what's his reasoning now, without his memories? Why did he clash with Saix all the time? Why is he wondering about the keyblade? Why did he fight Axel? Why didn't he trust Axel? So many things are intricately tied to memories of Xion, so much so that a COMPLETELY new memory would probably be needed...
So what were those memories? Where did all those many days, months even, that these people dedicated to Xion go?
For that matter, if Xemnas lost his memories of Xion, he wouldn't know the project was a failure, wouldn't he try doing it again?

I meant to post this a couple weeks back, but the point stands.
I was at the grocery store a while back, and I was listening to the local radio, they were talking about playing the hit new song "Let It Go" for the first time
People were sick of that like five months ago
But hey, at least they eventually caught up

Once upon a time I asked this question, but @Ars Nova RUINED EVERYTHING and I never got my answer.
But this is the Spam Zone, I'm protected from your dark powers

So, there are a lot of variations on the standard LGBT, nowadays, right?
But I have a question about a specific facet of it, based on a bunch of people I've met, irl and online
It's about gender roles, and being born a different gender than you physically appear.
Here's an example, a friend of a friend of mine back in high school identified as male, but was physically male. This person would get INCREDIBLY pissed if anybody, even a stranger, referred to him with a female pronoun.
However, he still wore frilly pink dresses, talked about fashion, had a high pitch giggle, a bunch of stereotypically 'female' traits. His logic was that being a certain gender didn't mean you have to act a certain way, and that we jsut have certain roles built up by society.
I've met quite a few people with this view.
    But here's what I don't get.
If you believe genders have no meaning, that they don't enforce any rules f restrictions on you, or change how people shoul react to you, WHY do you care what gender you are, or what people call you? I can understand if you feel that being male or female means you have to be a certain way, but when you subscribe to the idea that genders are jsut constructs and don't mean anything, but also cling to a gender identity... it just doesn't make much sense to me.
But this is a completely alien world to me, I've always been pretty comfortable with being male, honestly being a woman sounds AWFUL (I mean, you bleed every month AND sexism is a big issue)
But yeah, I was wondering what sort of insight you gusy might have on the subject
