"And yet will you be able to handle the fate of the worlds with a family to look after?" Yen Sid questioned, remembering the small child. "So it is between you two. The one who wishes to help others and save the worlds, and the other who wants to save the lives of familiars, and then possibly coming back." He sighed heavily, carefully viewing the two. Eden was looking away, already believing she had failed. "Sora, I believe at the moment, that you are preoccupied. For the worlds, the Master of the Key must be just and fair, unbiased by all means. Do you understand that?" The Wielder of Earth perked up at that, staring at Yen Sid. That is my life! I could do that much better than he can!
"Yes. But all of you will have another chance in the future. The Master of the Key must either pass on or disown their title in order for a New Master to take their place. " Yen Sid continued. He stared at Sora for a moment, curious. "What is your goal? I would assume it is for the light."
Yen Sid slightly had a grin about him, slightly smug, but softened. " I understand the need for power, but Power can only come to those who understand The Strength within you. Maybe our new Master will help you find your heart." he stared at the three remaining Wielders, focusing on Sora for a moment.
Eden nervously watched Yen Sid's expression, as he seemed to have a slightly perplexed look about him. "I see... Power isn't everything. And I would hope that you do achieve your heart in the near future." he hummed. "But from what I understand from all of you, the two most powerful has been out-shined by motives and your... so-to-speak, hearts." he glanced at each Wielder, almost smiling at their nervousness and eagerness to finally hear who The Master Wielder was.
"You do realize how selfish a goal this is, child?" Yen Sid softly questioned. "Sir, maybe when I am more fit for the job I will take the title and become the Peacekeeper of the Worlds... but I am too young, and just wish to return home." Eden sighed, glancing at Gexln. "Now for you..." The Great Sorcerer shifted his attention to Gexln. "What is your goal?"
Yen Sid raised his hand, silencing Sora. "And we have the girl who wants to go home. Why do you wish to become a master to abandon your duties?" He watched her thoughtfuly, trying to find out the motives of everyone. Eden heavily sighed, but took a sip of her tea again. "I am from Earth, and when it was attacked by heartless, I lost a lot of people I loved. I have seen both me past love and his nobody die for me, my best friend torn apart..." she took another sip to release the lump in her throat. "I also have no doubt my family is gone as well. My goal as a Master is to return the heartless to their former selves, find my loved ones, and disown the title and then return home. "I just want to be able to go home without the Keyblade attracting heartless. That way I can go back and live a normal life." As she finished, she munched on light sandwhich, keeping herself together. "And possibly control my fire better so my anger doesn't burn everything around me."
"Riku... You have been consumed by the dark, and learned your mistake. You have been given every chance to go back, and in some cases you have..." Yen Sid swirled the tea within his cup, in thought. "But you always had the choice, and control over the Darkness within you."
"I have also heard everything you all have said. The girl fighting to go back home, the nobody fighting to regain his heart... The man seeking the redemption he already got, and Sora... Just fighting for the Light." Yen Sid stared at each person as he addressed them respectively. "All of you have reasons to become a Master of the Key, but some might have the wrong way about it." He looked at Riku, a slightly hardened stare graced the eyes. "You seek Redemption, yet saved the Worlds. What more redemption do you ask for?"
Eden shook her head, she did have feelings against Riku and Sora still. She watched Yen Sid, eager. "My rules were, that there was to be no magic." Yen Sid started, which immediately put a look of defeat on the Wielder. "But it is rare a student is courageous enough to defy my rules."
Yen Sid waved a hand, softly nodding to them. "At ease. Sit, and have a drink. I have much to explain before appointing our new Masters." It was a vague statement, sending Eden into a nervous internal panic. She slightly squeezed Gexln's hand for some form of comfort. "There is much to learn for all of you, but all of you did well." he hummed again.
Eden quickly sat next to Gexln, giving him a cup and saucer as well as herself. "Did we fail, sir?" she sheepishly sipped her tea, pinkie out in a nervous habit. "I will say once the other two Wielders arrive. I believe a student should learn from their mistakes, as well as their accomplishments." Yen Sid sipped his cup in thought, the hard stare not present at the moment.
Speeding up with Gexln, Eden had stopped at a single door. Extinguishing her flames and urging Gexln to calm his darkness, she opened the door to find a very spacious room. It was almost a duplicate of their battle room, save for the many plush couches, tea table, shelves for books... She noticed the floor, and underneath the other scorched room they had fought in. "I have been watching this entire time." Yen Sid loudly addressed the two, without even saying their names directly. The Wielder of Earth immediately stiffened, trying to keep a proper posture. "Sit, have a drink." Flora laid out a tray with a teapot and two cups. Fauna laid out a tray of some light sandwiches.
Eden sped up in her white hot flames, not allowing Riku to interfere. "Riku, don't interfere! I wouldn't want the fate of the worlds to be handled by two inexperienced BRATS!" she growled, over passing his speed by the flames.
Eden looked back, an annoyed look upon her eyes. She rushed out to charge up her flames, keyblade as well. She ran at Riku, growing ever angrier and more dangerous, attacked Riku quickly at his side to take him down. She put it all into the attack, then jumped back to retreat. Stairs leading up snaked to Gexln's feet, inviting him up. The Wielder noticed this as well, starting her way up.
Eden breathed heavily, lighting herself up, and quickly bursting out in a white hot flame next to the wall. The Dark shell broke, and it's force broke through the wall. With a big gaping hole, the Wielder carefully looked out, and there were no means of escape. No stairs of any kind.
Eden stared at the wielders, angry at them for fighting against the Earthlings. "Don't try going against us ever again. We are going to become Masters, and then go home." she growled, looking at the clean walls of the room she was walking towards. "Think you could make a shell of darkness around me Gex? I'm gonna blow this wall up."
Eden immediately extinguished her flames before hitting Gexln, Her eyes did look like they had a raging fire about them though. "That's the best your brilliant minds could deduct!? I've been able to make better plans in my head!"
Eden glared at Riku, fiery red keyblade gripped sharply in her hands. Her anger was that of the sun's, and the room was boiling hot. "I don't want to kill you for the sake of the worlds, so let us just achieve our goals."
"He would never steal my heart!" Eden growled, hovering from the amount of expelling heat and rocketing at Riku to push him into a wall. "To me, YOU are the monster! You are my only obstacle from going HOME!" With such close contact, she kicked Riku in the stomach, burning him deeply.
"He's not a monster! And as for Redemption, you have already been redeemed! You saved the worlds by defeating Xemnas! You're fighting for redemption while me and Gexln have been fighting to go back to our old lives!" Eden charged, anger fueling the fire to a white hot state. Rocketing from the combustion, she whipped the keyblade in a strike at Riku's abs. "For the record, he's not the monster. Fighting against our wish to go back to our families and homes? That makes YOU the monster!"
