This forms a dependence, though. Sure it is convenient to never get lost, but wouldn't it be much better to be able to find a place on your own with the help of some directions?

Like I'm glad I'll never get lost in the city, but I have the utmost respect for the people who had to deal with maps (especially subway maps) to get to places and it's a little disappointing that most people from now on won't have to be forced in that situation and become self-reliant.

And I think the whole thing is poorly explained between leveling up medals, evolving them, the difference between the action medals and the non-action ones, jewels vs munny vs avatar coins and what they actually buy, the fact that you get power-ups and support medals from leveling up clothing, the fact that you have to level up clothing in order to wear it, etc.

It just seems unnecessarily convoluted.

You make a good point, but I don't think it's them thinking "WHITE IS RIGHT, MAKE EVERYTHING WHITE" so much as it's them thinking "If we're gonna put a lot of money into this, we need to make the maximum amount of money back, let's use a recognizable actress that will bring in that revenue," and SJ was the answer. Hollywood is getting less and less risky these days anyway.

Do you know of any other Asian actresses that's on the same level of fame as SJ? Lucy Liu maybe? I'm genuinely not sure, I don't watch a lot of movies.

To be fair, most anime characters don't even really look Asian in the first place.

The only anime character I've seen that looks even remotely Asian is Haribara from Soredomo, and even she is a bit of a caricature.
