As the tweet above indicates, 'Kingdom Hearts III' will be one of the games focused on in the 'PlayStation Live From E3' program, with the focus on the game scheduled for 2:15 p.m. PDT on Tuesday, June 12th, which you'll be able to watch from live.playstation.com. EDIT: Here's the KH3 portion of 'PlayStation Live From E3':
Updated OP with higher quality renders
After releasing the shocking trailer during Sony's E3 conference confirming the return of Jack Sparrow and the rest of the POTC gang, Square-Enix also revealed that the 'Pirates of the Caribbean' world, called 'Port Royal' in KH2, will instead be called 'The Caribbean' in 'Kingdom Hearts III'. In addition to that, the world logo as well as renders for Sora, Donald, and Goofy from that world have been released. Check 'em out below: View attachment 49219 Updated with higher quality renders: EDIT: Even MORE renders:
Updated with a tweet showing what the special theme will look like.
This, and I wanted a connection between the box from Back Cover and Davy Jones's chest. There has to be a connection, I just know it!
During Sony's E3 conference, the final of the three 'Kingdom Hearts III' E3 trailers was revealed, confirming the return of Port Royal and Luxord, as well as giving us our first look at Kairi and Lea, and many more surprises. Check it out below: EDIT: Added Japanese version as it contains an additional scene with Lauriam/Marluxia:
View attachment 49215 As evident in the time table above provided by Square-Enix, Kingdom Hearts will be featured in their annual E3 livestream, with 'Kingdom Hearts Union X[cross]' being the focus at 10:30 a.m. PDT, while 'Kingdom Hearts III' will be featured at 3:00 p.m. PDT. While their appearances seem to just be gameplay/demo related, there is always a chance Tetsuya Nomura might make an appearance to discuss further developments with these two games.
The approximate size that is listed on the bottom of the page is 10.09 MB, so unless this is just a placeholder or a typo, I'm guessing this DLC is just a cosmetic preorder bonus. Either way, Nomura never ruled out the possibility of DLCs, though if we do get them, I'm guessing they'll be to KH3 what the extra content in Final Mix games were to the older games.
The official 'Kingdom Hearts III' page on Microsoft's website has been updated to include a new promotional image giving us a high-def look at new renders of Sora, Donald, and Goofy, as well as previously seen renders of Riku and King Mickey. In addition to the renders, the image contains a beautiful background full of icons KH fans are sure to recognize. Check out the image below: View attachment 49214
It doesn't look like Remy is a summon, but rather part of a cooking minigame. EDIT: Yep, confirmed to be a minigame:
I'm a bit torn on this. On one hand, I believe only Hayden should be voicing Kairi. On the other hand, if Xion's gonna be in the game (and let's face it, she most surely will be), I want Alyson Stoner to be the one voicing her. Yes, I realize that technically, the two are supposed to have the same voice, but still... As for those that would've hoped that Hayden would be the one voicing Kairi, it might be possible they haven't recorded her voice yet.
So glad Josh Gad's reprising his role! And I'm pretty sure I heard the voices of Kristen Bell and Idina Menzel in the trailer. If it isn't them, then those are some very convincing voice doubles for Anna and Elsa.
