this looked really interesting. count me in as well.
One of the reasons why it's taken so long to get this movie done is because one of the directors (Shane Black) was fighting with the studio. He wanted Ryuk in but Warner Brothers wanted him out. I feel that one of the major benefits of having it moved to Netflix is that they offer more artistic freedom.
I'm sorry to have to do this, but things have come up in my schedule, and I won't be able to participate in karaoke night.
I'm not kidding. The actor playing L did a Snoop cameo in Straight Outta Compton.
And Snoop Dogg is L.
Haha, it's fine. How are you?
Hello friend
"But how do we find out the name of the guy whose following me?" "The HEART Yagami! First we attack his heart!"
But...I mean, it can't be any worse, right?
@burnitup GET A LOAD OF THIS!! http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/new...e-gets-live-action-american-tv-series/.104938
I'm really sorry for your loss, man
Yeah, I very much agree that the costume needs work. I couldn't even recognize him when he did that cameo in BvS. It just looks...off. Another thought came to mind though. Do you think that the big character difference is because of how popular the Flash tv show is. DC maybe wants to make a distinction that these are two different characters who just happen to share the same name/alias? It's not necessarily uncommon, and it's in line with striking character differences we've seen thus far in the "series".
Yeah, I can see that point of view. I'm usually all for taking liberties with characters because that's how a lot of great adaptations work, but I understand the uneasiness of having what sounds like a major character shift. On a slightly tangential note, there's an extra on the Batman v Superman bluray (because I enjoy that movie while understanding it'd immensely flawed) where it shows Miller being super exited about the character. From the small bit I saw, he really understands the kind of character he has. He goes into explaining the scientific mechanics of "going fast". So it seems like he's fully committed to bringing this character to life and making it his own.
I felt like the scene was lifting a lot from the Tony/Peter meeting from Civil War. A billionaire and a smart ass kid meet; smart ass kid is tricked into showing his power; asked to be apart of dangerous mission/film's climax. Miller seems apt for that kind of comedy. I don't know much about Flash myself, so I can take just about any interpretation. If his character just stays consistent, he could really stand out among this group.
Having listened to Cargill for several years, I feel confident in saying that the wifi line is 100% his kind of humor. Here's a video of him talking a lot of things Strange, including casting. Although, it's important to make clear that he had no say in casting; it was all done by the time he got onboard. He's mostly speculating.
Found out a bulldog we used to own passed away earlier today. Her name was Angel and she was just barely over a year old. We had to give her away because we moved houses, and the people who owned her now have tons of dogs and they took good care of her. She was running around earlier in the day and then later, she was gone. What I'm feeling right now...it just sucks. My family is in tears. I had to lecture my "hardass" dad on allowing them to feel their feelings. Angel could be a pain in the ass, but she was very loving. I'm gonna miss her.
If I can find some headphones, I'd like to join in. Put me down for Smells Like Nirvana by Weird Al.
I'm mean sure, anyone can do the hockey pokey, but can you alone be the one to turn yourself around?
Can you feel a brand new day!
All summer, this has been on my mind, but I have to actually deal with it: I don't want to be a teacher. I thought that I would learn to really love it, but overtime that just waned away. It really struck me when a former teacher told me "if you don't love it, don't do it". It's not that I don't think it's successful, I just don't care for it. I chose it to make my parents happy. I wanna do something in writing. This last year has really helped me grow my confidence in my skills and my voice. There's a major that's offered here that deals with communication and digital media, which I feel would be good fit. Of course, I still wanna be a script writer, but something's gotta pay the bills. Plus, I'm sure this will get my parents upset. I don't wanna drop out of college, just finally go into a direction I want to. Let's just hope they're more understanding than I give them credit for.
