"Of course," Sora said, thinking that it was a silly question. Kairi showed that she cared all the time, whether it was through her words or actions. Or, in a lot of cases, through her eyes, which often showed more than words could express.

"Yeah?" Sora asked, opening his eyes and looking up at the ceiling. He didn't feel Kairi's gaze on him, so he didn't bother looking over at her. Besides, then it would have been even more obvious that he was in pain.

Sora took in a soft breath, his chest rising a little bit with the action. He didn't want to think about that, though, since thinking about Nathaniel still made his blood boil. He left his thoughts alone, which brought him back to the pain he was feeling. He almost felt like he wanted to sleep, just to escape it. But he was in no position to sleep, and Riku was expecting him to come home sometime within the next few hours.

Sora set a hand on his stomach, the other by his side and curled into a light fist. He was a little ticked that his chest was in so much pain; it was all because of Nathaniel and the move he had used trying to kill Sora by squeezing him. It would have worked, too, if Sora hadn't outsmarted him.

Sora exhaled a breath through his nose, staying silent now for a few reasons. One was that he didn't have anything to say, and the other was that he was sure the pain was coming through in his voice now. He wished that weren't the case; he really wanted this pain to just disappear right away. But that wasn't going to happen.

"It's alright," Sora said, trying to wave off Kairi's concerns. He knew that his eyes would say the opposite of what he was trying to get across, so he closed his eyes. "Don't worry about it." He didn't feel like moving any more, even if it was to sit up and take some medicine. He pushed himself a little too hard today, and now he was suffering because of it.

"Yeah," Sora said with a sigh, keeping his feet on the ground as he leaned backwards and laid on his back on the bed. He winced at that, though, stretching out his chest without realizing what he was doing. "Just feeling pretty sore." That was putting it lightly, considering the pain that he was in now.

"Yup," Sora said with a nod, politely looking away so Kairi wouldn't feel awkward having him watch her eat. He took a step to the side and sat down on the bed beside her, though that didn't help with the pain as much as he had wanted it to.

Sora stopped in front of her, holding out the plate and the glass for her to take. "Here," he said softly, offering them to her. The sooner he got them out of his hands, the sooner he could sit down and relax. And, of course, the sooner Kairi could enjoy her food and beverage.
