Sora slept without realizing that Kairi was looking at him, or hearing the television on in the background. The medicine had him completely knocked out, the drugs so powerful that it felt like he would be asleep for a long time.
I'm also recommending it because it's something you can major in at my college. xP
Sora felt his head lowering, his chin almost touching his chest as he felt himself getting drowsier. He almost murmured an apology to Kairi, since he felt bad for leaving her alone. However, he couldn't find the strength to speak, so he slipped out of consciousness without saying what was on his mind.
xDD You know a major that I considered other than teaching? Social work. It would be cool, helping people out, you know?
Sora shut his eyes again, a soft breath of defeat leaving him. He couldn't force himself to stay awake much longer; the best chance that he had of being with Kairi was if he fell asleep now and woke up later. He was too tired to think about what he should do about Riku, and anyway, he couldn't move any of his muscles to do anything anyway.

Sora tiredly opened his eyes, changing his position so that the back of his head was against the couch and his eyes were on the television. He really didn't want to sleep...he wanted to be up for Kairi...He didn't want her to be alone...

Sora exhaled a soft breath, facing in Kairi's direction. He really didn't want to go to sleep, and the feeling only reminded him of what had happened recently, when he had refused to rest before searching for Smith. Of course, Kairi came over and forced him to go to sleep, though it had ultimately been for his own good.

Sora leaned the side of his head against the couch, his eyes falling shut. He was going to sleep; the question was, how long would he keep fighting against it? He knew that it would be a while; he had stayed with Kairi today so that he could support her, not fall asleep on her couch and leave her alone.
xD I'm glad I can be weird and not feel guilty over it.
"I dun wanna sleep," Sora murmured, lowering his hand when he still felt sleepy. If he was more awake, he would have been a little upset that Kairi pulled this on him, but now he was too tired to care about that.

xD That line sounds silly to me for some reason.
Sora nodded, forcing himself to perform the movement so that he would wake himself up a little bit. "Yeah." He hardly felt any pain, which must have meant that medicine was very strong. It made sense to him, considering just how heavily it was affecting his efforts to stay conscious.
