Sora smiled softly, kneeling down next to Kairi's bed. "You've got me," he assured her quietly. He wasn't going to leave her until she was perfectly comfortable, or if she requested him to leave for any reason...Or if he had to go steal food from her fridge. He was hungry, but he could ignore that as long as he was with Kairi.
"Need anything?" Sora asked, seeing Kairi already beginning to lie herself down on her bed. He assumed that the action meant she still didn't feel well, and he wanted to help in any way that he could, even if he was hurting.
"Sure," Sora said with a nod, taking his arm away from behind Kairi's back as he stood upright, giving her some space at the same time. He was tempted to stretch out a little bit, but he really couldn't do that because of his ribs. He blinked at the thought, chasing it away because he would only frustrate himself thinking about it.
Recovery Begins- Fireflight
Sora entered Kairi's bedroom, the brunet blinking when he noticed how neat everything was. That was no surprise; Kairi was a very organized person. He chased the thoughts away and approached her bed, the teen gently setting her down and taking his hand out from underneath her legs when she was sitting.
Believe- The Letter Black
Sora exhaled a breath through his nose, his eyebrows furrowing a tiny bit as he dealt with the pain. He was relieved when he reached the top of the stairs, Kairi's bedroom in view now from where he was standing. He started over towards it immediately, expecting that Kairi would want to lie in her bed.
Sora glanced down at Kairi in his arms, though he adjusted his focus to the area in front of him as he started walking again. He saw the stairs coming up on his right, so he started to take them, Kairi actually feeling a little heavy in his arms. He knew that it wasn't because of her, but because of the injuries he had from the battle yesterday.
Sora shifted his hold on Kairi ever so slightly, the brunet feeling his wounds aching more with this new way that he held her. He ignored his pain and turned sideways, stepping inside without letting Kairi hit her head or feet on the door frame. Upon entering the home, he took a few steps in, closing the door with his foot when he and Kairi were out of the way of the door.
After The World- Disciple
Sora bent over a little bit, his other arm behind Kairi's legs. He gently swept her off her feet, the teen having a secure grip on her as he held her in his arms. Even if she had been expecting to walk the rest of the way, he would carry her to her bed. Honestly, she didn't look like she could make it to her room.
Sora noticed Kairi sway on her feet a little bit, though he wasn't sure if she realized it herself. He took a step over and wrapped his arm around her upper back, the brunet prepared to just pick her up instead of having her hop on his back again.
Sora stepped to the side slightly, though he stayed close and kept an eye on Kairi as she did her thing. She didn't seem too unbalanced at the moment, which was something he liked to see. Still, he couldn't help but wonder if she was feeling any better than she had been earlier.
Sora smiled, though he wasn't sure whether putting Kairi down or not was a smart idea. Then again, he didn't have much of a choice, now did he? He bent down, gently starting to release his grip on Kairi so that her feet touched the ground.
"That's good, 'cause there's no way I can get into your house now," Sora said sheepishly, stopping in front of the door and looking over his shoulder to Kairi. Not only did he not have a key to her home, but he couldn't hold her and open the door at the same time, anyway.
"You didn't fall asleep on me, did ya?" Sora joked lightly, approaching Kairi's home and stepping onto the porch. He honestly didn't know if she was awake or not, which was why even with his joke, his voice had been quiet enough not to wake her if she really was unconscious.
About twenty minutes later, Sora saw that he was approaching Kairi's home. He shifted his grip on Kairi a little, though he kept his hold on her light so that she wasn't uncomfortable. The walk to her house had been quiet, neither of them feeling the need to speak about anything.
Sora nodded slightly to Riku, that being the farewell he gave to his friend. He walked through the doorway into the entrance hall, approaching the front door. How was he supposed to get that open, anyway?
Sora nodded slightly shifting his gaze forward as he exited his bedroom with Kairi on his back. He started down the hall, the sounds from the television getting louder as they came into the living room, where his best friend was still watching some program.
Sora held back a grunt, his hands getting a grip on Kairi's legs before he fully rose to his feet. "All set?" he asked her, trying to keep the strain out of his voice so that she didn't know he was in pain. His ribs were hurting, along with his injured shoulder. But he was going to tune it out, no matter what happened.
