The bar was starting to empty as people went to bed. Dante paid the bill, which was small due to having only one glass of tequila. Fog was left in the gated area behind the bar because horses weren't allowed to roam free in this town.

As the fallen Angel went into his room, the clothes were piled in the sink, which he soon filled up with soapy water. After a slight rest he went back to wash his clothes. Being sweaty was one of the things he loathed, and so was sweaty clothes. They were hung to dry on the shower rail, and Dante made his way to the shower after brushing his teeth. Enjoying the ice water, he let out a big sigh of relief. It felt like winter. In this heat, winter was amazing to think about. After drying off, the fallen Angel went to bed in just some underwear.

“Damn!” Dante exclaimed as the car passed him. “No one would want to do anything with us boy.”

    Fog snorted in disappointment.

“Look! There’s another car coming!” The fallen one jumped off his horse and quickly put his shirt back on for the minute or two the car was coming. He stood closer to the road, waving one of his hands and smiling. Without a notice of the one standing on the side of the road, the second car also sped past him.

“Well, it looks like we are out of luck boy. At least the town is just up ahead. The sign says it’s only one mile away.” Ravenheart re-took his shirt off and laid it back on the back of the saddle. “You’ve been carrying me this whole way. I’ll walk on my own two feet so you can take a break from the extra weight.”

The horse nuzzled his cheek in affection while his owner took his reins.

    ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

It was about ten minutes of a walk to get to the small town. This one was almost like the last one he was at, but just a little more condensed. Fog was refreshed with a pail of water graciously given by the cantina owner, and was joined with the couple other horses that were in a small pen behind the building.

Dante was seated at the bar, facing away from the bartender towards the front door, wearing a black, white-feathered fedora and his sleeveless, trench coat-like jacket along with his pants and shoes. It was too hot to wear any other of his outer clothing. The few ladies in the cantina swooned over him from a distance, careful to leave the tired stranger alone to rest. Below his hat he would glance over stealthily to the attractive men around his age sitting at the tables. The pulling feeling that came from a direction around Mexico City had suddenly disappeared and felt very much closer. This made the man a little edgy. A knife in his shoe pocket provided a little ease.

It just feels like it’s coming closer…

A drink was taken of the tequila.

About thirteen miles away from Hana and the other one was Dante, nearing the town they are headed to, on horseback. The heat was so intense that both Fog and himself were shuffling along at a slow pace.

“Come on, boy. We only have two miles to go.”

Fog snorted a response, saliva dripping out of his mouth.

The fallen one, in response to the searing heat, had taken off his jacket and shirt. Only his pants and shoes were left.

“It is a good thing I bought that extra-strength deodorant huh boy? I would be raining sweat by now without it.”

His clothes were draped around the back of the saddle and his pale skin shone in the sunlight. A big sombrero topped his head to give shade. The strange feeling of a pull towards Mexico City suddenly disappeared and reappeared west of the capital.

“Darn it Fog, I hate this stupid feeling. I know that both of us don’t want to be here anymore, but maybe if we fulfill this feeling, we can leave within the next week or two.”

With a happy neigh, Fog trotted a little, bringing his head high.

Their course couldn’t be changed now, though. Fog needed water and rest, and Dante needed shade. A car was coming up, and now was the chance to get someone’s attention. Bringing the horse to a halt and perpendicular to the rode, the fallen angel waved his hand to get the car’s attention.

Yesterday was the funeral. It was very nice because the whole family was there and they brought lots of flowers to put on his coffin and around his grave. The statue Dante was assigned to make was put on a pedestal at the head of the grave and was immediately surrounded by flowers. Being two of the last ones to leave, the wife of the old man kissed the fallen angel’s cheeks with thanks for blessing her day. He smiled and left to his room soon after, the female angel statue keeping watch over the buried.

Horses were always a huge part of Dante’s life. He absolutely loved them, especially the pure white ones who resembled snow. His first and current steed, Fog, has been with him for five years. In fact, he was the first thing Dante bought when he turned eighteen. The stallion was bought from a local farmer when he was just a little colt. He still was in very good shape due to the angel riding him almost everywhere, of course, except for distances too far for a horse.

The fallen one had always been popular with white animals and the ones that lived in snowy climates, actually. When he would go to pet stores to see the rabbits the white ones would always be scrambling to him. Villagers and people with white dogs had to keep them tied up because they tended to wander off and follow Dante.

When they got to the hotel, the man got off his steed and went inside to gather his things. There weren’t very much items besides clothing, soap, sculpting and drawing tools, and money. Something was calling him to Mexico City, whatever it was. Despite the urge to run and hide somewhere colder, he couldn’t fight the pull. The room key was given back to the hotel clerk along with a tip for letting him stay for a few days. The man wished him good luck on his journey and Dante went outside to meet his horse.

“We have a long way to go, Fog. By car it would take a little over half a day to get over to Mexico City, but I know you don’t like those horse carts very much. Instead, we will split the journey over a few days so you don’t get too tired, that ok with you boy?”

The horse nuzzled his owner’s cheek.

    “Right then, here we go.”

The fallen packed all of his luggage onto the saddle and secured it tight. Those sculpting tools weren’t cheap, and as an artist, he wasn’t rich to buy as many as he liked. With a nudge of the heel into the horse’s side, they made their way to the capital.

OOC: Hey guys, leaving to Hawaii today! I'll be back as soon as I can to post. It'll be around a week and a half to two weeks in real time, only two or three days in the RP, so you won't miss too much of me.

Hyuge, in case you didn't see my message to you, I'm going to see Bite the Dust's character Samuel. Hopefully having two angels in the same location will help make up for my vacation time xP

Has fun RPing it up in here :D

Dante was outside a mortuary mid afternoon. It was a small building, its walls, windows, and doors worn from age, but it was beautiful in its design. Lattice boards on the outside walls guided vines up the building, red roses adorned the flower beds in the front and white and cream colored roses filled the flower beds on the patio.

One of the inhabitants of Guadalajara, Mexico had died a couple days after his arrival: an old man of about sixty-five. Being an artist of sculpture, the new head of the house had hired Dante to sculpt a beautiful female angel to put on the man’s grave for they were a very religious family. Obsessed with wings, the stranger was happy to do the angel.

Upon the final firing, which took approximately ten hours, Dante was invited to a party celebrating the old man’s life. The house was not in very good shape, the shingles were starting to fall off the roof and the windows lost most of their transparency. It was a humble home, though, and the fallen angel had been welcomed with open arms. The party seemed to last forever. Many games were played, such as the famous piñata slaying, and many stories were told of the man. It turned out that he was one of the best fishermen in town and could hold one whole barrel of fish in each arm. He had three sons and one daughter, and even helped govern the small town. When the party was over, Dante was blessed with the sign of the cross at the door by the old man’s wife. She had told him that he was sent by heaven to bless her husband’s grave with his holy crafting skills. Blushing, he told her thank you to the compliment and she just stared into his eyes full of hope.

Being led back to his hotel, one of the sons of the old man told the artist that his mother had always been able to see holy things such as angels and demons, and always knew what to do when something bad happened because her guardian angel told her what to do. As one not believing in religion, he didn’t believe what the son was saying. It was also because every man in the household was drinking at the party. With a hug and a pat on the back, the son left him to his room and returned home around six in the evening.

A sigh left Dante’s mouth as he entered the room. He was always called an angel, a holy one. Plopping down on the chair in front of the mirror, he looked deep into his own eyes and features. Yes, he was good-looking, but enough to be holy, no. He always wished of flying and having wings, and constantly was touching his back. With a shock, sometimes he could feel faint feathers. Thinking that he was just psyching himself out, he would abandon the mindset and go do something else. Feeling his back out of routine, the faint feathers didn’t come today.

This damn heat... This damn heat is too much. I need to be somewhere colder.

    Thread

    Torn

Never thought I would post here, but here I go -_-

I've been with my boyfriend for around three years now, met him when I was fifteen (he is three years older than me, age doesn't really matter to me in this situation), and I'm having some complications recently.
He's good to me most of the time, taking the occasional day to week of being mean, usually for small reasons like going over to his apartment late due to me trying to finish school work. This composes of him using the threat that he wants his key back recently.
Through the first year and half of the second year he was very flattering, but hasn't really been ever since.
I'm not trying to make him sound like too much of a villain, he can make me happy.

I'm having the trouble that I feel like I'm starting to fall for my best friend. I've known him for around the same time.

I'll give you guys the summary of both of them so it's not so lengthy.

    -Boyfriend-

    Strengths
Funny, musical (guitar), sexy, smart in English, shorter, lets me take top, lets me be more of a guy

    Weaknesses
Health problems (high sugar and calorie diet), mental problems (mostly depression), isn't motivated to work (unemployed and has been for years), easily aggravated, prone to take anger upon me, very sloppy (apartment is almost beyond saving), isn't willing to try hard to get out/work out/do things, isn't willing to listen to me rant about videogames (which are a big part of my life)

    -Friend-

    Strengths
Funny, listens, is a gamer also, motivated, loves outdoor activities (like I do), has a current job, musical (base guitar I believe), willing to try things, generally nicer and is flattering

    Weaknesses
Health problems (depression, high calorie diet, smokes, drinks, heart problems), is a bit big in proportion compared to me (his hands are huge and awkward to hold), taller, prone to take top, makes me feel girly, I am a bit scared of going through the first-time sexy time again (I'm very ashamed of some parts of my body and don't like them seen, I also can't really imagine sexy time between us in the first place), not sure if sexually attracted to him, is a bit of a player

I do love my boyfriend, don't get me wrong, I just feel so disconnected with him now. When I go over we don't really talk about stuff like we used to. He also still goes on on how he doesn't want to live so I feel like I'm not helping at all.
My friend has liked me for years and claims to love me. After attempting to kiss me last week (I got scared and backed away because he trapped me between a wall) we agreed to be just friends. I have been trying, though, to keep him interested (evil I know) by texting him stuff like "kisses cheek" and whatnot. I have liked him on and off for a year (off being the fact that he's a player). Now it seems like since he's agreed to try to move on it triggered some sort of strong want.
I would like to try a relationship with my friend, but him and my boyfriend don't get along at all so if I leave my boyfriend he'll take it personally as an insult. I also feel like if I do leave that it will cause him to try and kill himself (the depression kicks in). I also start crying when I think of being without him. Through all the hurt I still have a strong emotional tie to him.

I know for the real world choosing my friend would be better since he would be more reliable. Staying with my boyfriend would probably be a rut unless he gets some motivation or something (I tried to give myself a "if it doesn't get better in a few years, leave," attitude recently). Or I could just choose neither and just barrel through life and see how it goes.

    I'm just lost KH.
p.S. Sorry if confusing, typed this at midnight.
