Alexis had been silent for the rest of the journey. She'd not uttered a single world. She'd just kept quiet and left her mind to do the work instead of her mouth. ...Her feelings from earlier back at the Roadhouse hadn't been wrong then? She knew she should have trusted her instincts. Since becoming an Acolyte, her skills had sharpened in some ways but were they dulling in others? She'd never have missed the slightest sign before, but this had slipped her by. It meant one of two things. Either what had taken Luce was skillful, and judging from what happened in the car, Alexis had no doubt this was true. But the other was that she was becoming complacent by trying to rely on others instead of just herself. This was a bad sign if so. ...She took a deep breath. She was alone behind her walls. An empty shell. No one could get in and reach her. That's how it always had been, and how it should always be. She didn't care about any of these guys.


...Luce being missing just kept nagging at her though. Dammit.
She and Luce were like two sides of a trick coin with two heads and no tails. They were on opposite sides of the coin but yet they still had the same face. The same eyes. They could understand each other more than the others could and yet that was what likely caused their friction. What led to a gun being pointed at Alexis's throat and a shotgun being pointed at Luce's gut in response. What led to a strange relationship between the two. Alexis did have to wonder if this was how real sisters acted. Well... maybe not as extreme, but most real sisters didn't have to contend with the Supernatural either. Despite the fact that Alexis was alone in the world, cutting herself off from everyone and everything.
Despite the fact she was empty... Not letting anything cloud her or ruin her. She'd still (even if forced albeit) chosen to take the step in this direction. To be an Acolyte. To become a sibling to Luce. Not just Luce... but Adam and Scott, and even the new guys.
Despite any of this, it all tied together anyway. Alexis could sort her head out later. She'd just stick with what she knew. She'd not be clouded. She'd be clear and concise. Their mission was simple. To get Luce back. That's all she needed to know. She didn't need to know whether it would help her own mind or not. She just needed to know that this was the next step.


And just like that, time passed. They had reached their destination. Getting out the car, Alexis was ready as Adam started giving instructions. "All right, here's the plan. Scott and I are going into that creepy-ass cabin,you three newbies are going to stay here and not do anything dangerous. You're going to stay safe and lick your wounds, got it?"
Mulligan then pointed at Alexis.
"She's your boss. She's going to keep an eye on you guys in case Leatherface or whatever horror-movie reject that lives here comes knocking."
Oh great. Getting stuck on baby sitting duty. Alexis was used to watching her own back.
At least with her older siblings they were capable, but these guys had no experience at all.
"If....if anything does happen, you guys have guns. Shoot first, ask questions later. But you will do exactly and whatever Alice says."
"Alexis." She corrected him.
"She knows her way around a gun, can use her powers, and well, she's almost as creepy as half of the baddies we fight."
Alexis wasn't too sure about the 'creepy' comment, but she simply nodded. "You heard him."
"You will not mess with my car and you will sit here in darkness, got that? Do not draw any attention to yourselves. If anything happens, call us. Flashlights and more weapons are in the trunk."
"If we take longer than half an hour, don't go running in after us. If it's something Adam and I can't handle on our own, you new kids won't do any better. Call Lenny instead, got it?" Scott added. Alexis knew this was for her mainly. After all, she was 'apparently' in charge here and would therefore have to stop any possible idiocy from the others. She nodded at him simply.
She stayed standing though, deciding not to sit back down in the car. She'd recovered well enough by now except for a few scratches, and she didn't want to get caught sitting on her ass if something did decide to go bump in the night. Which... knowing the luck of a hunter... It probably would.

Dragoness Looked up at the mechanical behemoth from her position. It was huge.​

The team was still forming and they were already being called to take on such an enemy. It was an extreme situation, but the young Dragon Heroine kept her calm. She'd been trained for this moment and for many more moments to come after this. This team had been formed for this. They weren't the Sanction, sure, but the Allies were going to do good in the world. They were going to help make a difference. This was... the start.The timing was good too it seems as another new arrival joined their ranks. Dragoness had almost forgotten that her father had been intending to contact someone else to add to the Allies' range of talents. Between them all, and this new arrival who called herself 'Phantom'. ...They were good to go."Focus everyone. Let's show the world just who we are. The Justice Allies!"​

And so they were off, some literally to a flying start.​

The references her team threw about caught her attention, more specifically the fact that she recognized all of them. One of the ways her father had trained her believe it or not had been through the use of comic books, anime and manga and other types of media. ... Apparently the real world wasn't as different to the articles of fiction after all, and yep. This proved it.​

"They say 'Chicks dig giant robots' right? Well, I'm no chick. I'm a Dragon, and I think it's time to show this tin-can it stands no chance against the likes of my kin." Dragoness crouched low, extending her claws out and sparking with violent surges of electricity. She released the tension in her strong legs and let out a spark of electrical energy to power her launching jump and propel her towards the giant robot.​

The thought had already crossed Dragoness's keen mind. The Allies were unknown right now. That meant this robot had been built with the Sanction in mind. ...That just simply meant one thing. No,they were not doomed. It just meant that beating this thing would truly show the world that the they were ready for the big leagues.​

Anya awoke the next morning, the events of the previous day a blur in her mind and yet crystal clear up until a certain point. She was still here though. Alive. Somehow, she'd survived the results of her performance and then the aftermath of being thrown into the White Room. ...That's right. The others who had been called out had fought back and resisted. It had bought her enough time to regenerate her wounds enough before her powers had been cut off by Rendium. ...Anya traced slender fingers along her face and her gut. The gashes that had been there were gone now. However, by the time she'd been thrown into the White Room, she'd not been perfect. More so from the condition the White Room left her in, as usual. She wasn't in best condition at the time, and going into the White Room when she was in perfect condition was still hell at the best of times. Yesterday was just nasty. Of course, Rendium was a weakness to nearly anybody unless you were of N class, but Anya was probably one of the ones affected by Rendium worse than nearly anyone else in the whole academy. Anya's body was essentially her power itself. Her cells having been designed to be in a constant state of flux to give her her incredible abilities was her blessing, and unfortunately even more of a curse when it came to Rendium. Because Rendium had such an effect on people with powers, and Anya's powers were tied directly to her very cells, when she came into contact with the stuff, her cells would pretty much shut down, almost like they were hibernating. No matter how many times Anya experienced it, it didn't get any better. It felt like she was dying. Albeit, that had never deterred her from any of her actions before which had thrown her into the White Room before. Maybe she was just defiant? It was probably more than just that. Regardless, if it wasn't for her survivalist nature that had been encoded into her DNA and her regeneration, she'd definitely die from the Rendium within a few moments. It was an odd mix, her powers were what caused her to react so strongly to Rendium, and yet the nullified effects of her powers were what kept her barely going even if it rendered her into a near dead state.
The White Room was approaching the border heavily... if there was any more Rendium to be exposed to, Anya knew that even she would not survive.

The rest of that day wasn't in her memory. She'd been dragged out of the White Room and chucked into her room to the floor and left there. Once the Rendium was out of her system and her cells started functioning properly again, she'd regained consciousness, and because her powers were now flourishing again, overtime the pink unhealed scars tracing over her dark-toned body completely sealed to leave her in her unblemished state. The night had been restless, but it always was.

Standing up, Anya stripped off her clothes and went to the shower. The feeling of hot water felt good after yesterday. She stood there for a few minutes letting it just wash all over her. Once done, she stepped out and made her way to the towel rack. The mirror caught her attention as she moved past it. Stopping to regard herself, she stared deep into those yellow eyes of hers. Why did she exist? She'd been created for a purpose. Part of her genetic programming drilled it into her that she was designed to be perfect. But was that all?
Anya looked at her body. Well defined, unblemished, strong and beautiful. She wasn't vain, and she wouldn't even describe herself as any of those things. But that's how she'd been designed to be. Droplets from her body hit the floor as she stood there. Why the Orange hair though? And the yellow eyes? Had her creator chosen those things specifically? Had they just happened? Some other reason? Most likely the second or third, not that Anya completely cared, yet still pondered. She thought of Nix. He too was like her in that regard. Then again, so was the blue haired spark-plug (if that was her natural hair colour - that is).
Finally she dried herself and changed before heading off. It was Gym class today. Could have been worse considering. She'd still have wanted to skip normally, however after yesterday, Anya knew better and that she should comply for now. It wasn't that she was giving in, but she was being smart. She needed to bide her time again. Things were changing rapidly. She didn't even need to look hard for it. Especially after yesterday, change was in the air more than ever. Something would happen soon now. She needed to wait for that chance. And again, there were worse classes than Gym class. It gave her the chance to cut loose officially without breaking any rules.

So she headed to her destination, along the way, getting glances everywhere. Word had clearly spread. Anya kept up her poker face, maintaining blank emotion as she moved through the corridors. She didn't linger. She had no reason to anyway. Nobody to talk to, and nothing to distract her. But then... There was the blue haired one in the distance, and she seemed to be getting similar treatment in some ways, albeit, Anya was always regarded with fear. The reaction to 'Blue' was the opposite in this case.
'Oh look little Frida Logan not so super anymore.' A student nearby murmured barely out of ear shot. It was at that point that Anya had stepped towards him and 'accidently' brushed/shoved past him with surprising force and knocked him to the floor.'What the fúck?! Watch where you're going bi- uh..."
Anya stared down at him with blank eyes, cutting him off with her expression alone. "Finish that sentence." She waited for a few seconds, not breaking her eye contact with the guy for even a split second. After hearing nothing from him... "Didn't think so."
She turned her back on the student and continued on her way.

Bushy had been hard at work (literally in the real world, and not so literally in the Coveverse). In the Cove, he'd simply pulled out a laptop and started playing... MINECRAFT!
For he had a plan. A plan which had been planned for a long time. A plan which had already been seen in previous posts of the Cove but was now going to be revealed as in... How, why and when. ...Don't follow? Then don't worry.
So... Because Bushy is a badass doting Godmod of manly awesomeness, when he was playing MINECRAFT (which must be capitalized here for some reason), he made it so that his game resembled the world of Disgaea perfectly, and that any changes he made in the game happened in the real world (Except in the real world... they wouldn't be so... Blocky). And so... he had been hard at work you see?
He stripped away the landscape in what could only be seen as badass terraforming, and then built from the ground up. ...And there it was...
A MAGNIFICENT PLOT INDUCED HOT SPRINGS!
Oh how great this would be. Bushy feels it should be wise to mention that this actually happened a while ago, so the hotsprings has been here for some time now. Probably since Arc 2 of the RP had began. Still following? Good. If not... Good. It doesn't really matter if you follow or not. Just understand that there is a hotsprings and that Bushy is the owner and that the entire place is run by his loli family.
Now though... Bushy had been waiting for THEM to arrive. They HAD to be here. It was very important, and so...
Bushy stuck out his leg.
...Yes.
You heard that right. But why did he do that?
Well, when he did... the tiniest rock, pebble or whatever you want to call it appeared under the Dai-Gurren's feet suddenly causing it to trip over like Bushy had tripped the thing by himself, and everyone aboard was sent flying towards the hotsprings. ...Mission accomplished.
It should be mentioned that while all this was happening, Bushy was wearing nothing but a bath towel with the Team Dai-Gurren logo on it. Did you all forget? Kamina invited Bushy to be a member of Team Dai-Gurren however long ago too.
And so... Bushy would now make his announcement... But first...

The giant behemoth Dai-Gurren tripped... it actually tripped from some unknown force, and when it's blade wang got embedded in the Earth in a way that Bushy knew that the pink haired scientist would truly appreciate (and made Bushy also think that he had probably found Leeron's OTP)... Everyone had been sent flying to a conveniently located hotsprings.
Renton was drowning... Sorta. His head broke the surface of the hot water, his clothing completely drenched as he surveyed the area. Eureka was alright, thank god, having landed on top of a boy with a rather large fore-head (Rossiu).
Meanwhile though...
"MMMMMM! WMMMM TMMMMM OMM LMMM." Came a muffled voice.. For Madoka Kyouno, when she had been launched had ended up with a face full of Mina's bandaged cleavage.
"Woah girl! Someone is eager to get at the goods. Not that I could blame you." Mina told the girl, extracting her from between her rather nice mountains. However... at that moment, due the the fact that the bandages were soaked from the hotspring water, and the only thing that had been keeping them in place at that point was Madoka's face... The bandages suddenly unraveled giving every present member of Team Dai-Gurren a rather pleasant view. Mina didn't seem to notice or care however as she just scratched her head and then asked the next inevitable question. "So... where the Hell are we?"Everyone else who had blushing faces at this point didn't get a chance to add anything further as a new voice came booming out from above. Looking up, everyone would see a guy wearing nothing but a bath towel with a logo of Team Dai-Gurren on it.

"You! My fellow team-mates! Are now in paradise! I... The mighty Bushy Brow, fellow member of Team Dai-Gurren..." Bushy spoke with a dramatic tone, his arms raised in the air and his bathtowel billowing dangerously in the scene setting breeze. "Know exactly how hard your struggles have been, and so... I decided with help from my sis, to give you guys what can be considered; A WELL DESERVED BREAK. You have reached Bushy Springs, a hot spring extravaganza where all are welcome, especially special guest members from Team Dai-Gurren like yourselves. At Bushy Springs I your host, the magnificent Bushy Brow promise you food, drink, utmost relaxation all for the price of... NOTHING. You heard it right. Bushy Springs will operate free of charge." Bushy gave a 'bro' wink to Kamina who by this point had been extracted from the wall. "The halls are yours to roam. Feel free to help yourself to anything you may need. My home is your home I should say."
Bushy smirked before stepping backwards and seemingly falling out of sight from the giant sign he had been standing on which read: 'Bushy Springs now welcomes Team Dai-Gurren."

So... they were under attack suddenly eh? Well... this made things no longer boring, but the King did indeed not even bother getting out of his caravan. Instead, he casually leaned back and yawned. "Hey, Risit. I'll trust you to take care of these losers. I'm gonna have a nap now." For he knew that his adviser could easily take care of himself and ALL the other knights and guards in his charge. ...That is until a knight got shot in the head by an arrow.
"...and now. ...Now I'm pissed off. The nap can wait." Everyone knew that one of the reasons why Archibold Rintz was so well respected as a King was because he cared about every single member of his Kingdom. Another reason he was so well respected was because... Well... Let's just say you don't piss the King off.
He was out the caravan, and walking slowly to the shooter within a few seconds.
"I won't bother dirtying my blade with the likes of you guys. I may be getting old, but I'm nowhere near old enough to not be able to handle a bunch of-" An arrow was shot at his head, but he tilted it to the side and felt the arrow zoom past without even having a stutter in his words. "bandits who can't even shoot straight."He started walking forwards towards the shooter, not breaking his stride. There was a reason he was King. A King emitted an aura, and Archibold was certainly emitting it right now. The Archer was panicking already, trying to fit another arrow into his bow, but thumbling as the King approached, seeming all the more bolder. "Don't get cocky because a lucky arrow caught one of my best. He'll be remembered and honored, but you... No one...-" The king was in striking distance now. The Archer in a panicked state dropped his bow and pulled out a dagger, but already, the King's fist when smashing into the Archer's face, making him crumple in an instant. "NO ONE WILL REMEMBER OR HONOR YOU!"He stood over the unconscious body and looked around at the others. The rest of the knights and guards had fallen into formation, albeit... They were undoubtedly not pleased that their King had just taken such a risk by walking well into the midst of the bandits.
"Right. You have a few choices, because I am a fair man. I'm nice, but not a fool. A King has to keep up appearances and not be weak. I'm certainly not the latter. So listen up. You took one of my men. Now while this.. shmuck isn't worth even a hundredth of him, his life will be taken in exchange to even up the scales. That much is certain. You all however can leave now, but be warned; This offer is only extended once. My group will not be caught off guard again, and they most certainly will kill every single one of you if you do not take my kind offer while it stands. Is that understood?"The King turned around and started to walk back to his caravan. "I'll leave the disposal of that whelp up to you, Risit. As for the others, what happens next is up to them. I have faith in every single one of you. I know that small-fry like these don't even hold a candle to you all, the Might of Lazinth."...And with that. The King had spoken.

Chaos erupted around the group as another giant evil robot of death fell from above and completely caught the group off guard.
Wasting no time, it's frontal section opened up as a laser was charged up and ready to kill them. They were too close to it, so there was no way of escaping safely. That is... until...
...One of the scariest but most awesome things Renton had ever seen came charging in and for lack of a better term; 'Saved their butts'.
"What is that?! It's a giant face! I've never seen an LF-... A Mecha so huge!" And it was true. Renton had seen giant ships like the Gekko, or the military battle ships and they rivaled this thing in size, but this thing was on two legs, and most of it's body was made out of what looked to be a giant face.
"They're the ones that Nirvash was telling us about!" But before anymore could be said, giant colossal arms came down and scooped EVERYONE up and deposited them on the giant battle ship, and then... the giant ship fled.
In a tangle of limbs, both human and mecha alike, Renton was one of the first to get to his feet before helping Eureka up. One of the first things that drew his attention was a flag on the giant mecha. It was like a logo of a skull wearing glasses.
"...We're safe. ...I think. But... what is this place?"
"This! Kiddo! Is the Dai-Gurren!"

A girl's voice pierced the air around them, startling them. She walked out towards them, long red cape and blue hair billowing in the wind. Behind her, followed a girl and another guy. Others from inside the giant mecha were coming out too to see who they had picked up.
"That sounds really cool, but... What is a Dai-Gurren?" Madoka asked with a puzzled expression on her face as she too got to her feet.
Mina paused, as she pulled out her sunglasses which matched the set on the flag's logo. "Not a Dai-Gurren. 'The' Dai-Gurren!" She exclaimed like that explained everything.
"...Then what is... 'The' Dai-Gurren?" Renton asked next, still hoping for a real answer.
"It's the base of the illustrious, infamous and mighty Team Dai-Gurren!"
"Team Dai-Gurren?" Eureka asked next.
"Sheesh! You mean to tell me you guys have never heard of Team Dai-Gurren? What rock did you guys crawl out under from?" The blue haired girl sighed, before pointing her finger skywards.
"Clear the wax out of your ears and listen up, cause I'll keep saying this as many times as I need to! Team Dai-Gurren is a place for manly souls! It's the hope for the surface! It's a place we can all call our home! It's a place where those who do the impossible dwell! REMEMBER EVERYONE! Kick logic to the curb and do the impossible! That's how Team Dai-Gurren rolls!" She exclaimed and pointed her raised finger at all of them. "Understand now?"
"It sounds like Gekkostate and the Gekko." Renton said to Eureka, finally understanding.
"Wait? What's a Gekkostate?"
"And a Gekko?"
"Uh... Well, it's a-"
"Nevermind that! I want to know about those rainbow explosions! Come on guys, spill. Just what is going on here?" Mina suddenly interrupted getting to the heart of the matter. She looked around at the other new arrivals, looking for answers as she was sure that not only she, but the others of Team Dai-Gurren were also interested in this.

Alrighty, some of you know about this already and some of you don't, but after talking with Dark I decided we might need to propose a new rule for the Cove, and so, I'm finally going to post this here.
There is now an official new rule for Cove and it goes as such:

I will say that this isn't aimed at any individuals at all. However, there has been a big discussion on Skype with not just Cove Staff members, but also many of the other members of the RP and it's been agreed on by everyone who was present. Nobody had any objections and all thought it was a reasonable and good idea.
I won't go into the reasoning behind it all again (like I did on Skype) so if you weren't there, then I apologize. However, if you do have any questions or anything else to say about it, do feel free to drop myself, Dark or Nick a message about it.

Other than that, and sorry about the serious tone everyone, go ahead and keep enjoying your time in the Cove.

It was like watching a black and white movie with only the black, and with all the sound blurred. That's all Anya was getting from her surroundings right now. Even though she was so out of it and unsure of what was going on, she was intrigued and knew that the next few moments would decide her fate. Whatever a fate that may be. She had no regrets though about what she did. That's just how it was. She knew the entire area around her was filled with action. She could tell that much. ...So were the others resisting? She knew for a fact before that security would have been coming, their performances had been filled with subtle rebellion. Anya's own performance had just been the icing on the cake. Even if she hadn't have performed, security would still have been there - just not for Anya too. ...It'd take a few minutes for her regeneration to heal her enough. If she was thrown into the White Room now, then she'd bleed to death. How long would they be able to hold out? Security would surely have Rendium with them. Anya tried to do a head count. There was Nix who Anya didn't see being taken out so easily whatever he might be doing. There was that girl who Anya didn't know much about, but she seemed so... airy that she'd likely be useless in a fight. So that counted her out. The blue haired spark plug would definitely put up one hell of a fight, Anya was sure. That arrogant idiot N-class guy would likely also put up a good fight since Rendium didn't affect him. And the guy with the God inside him, Anya wasn't really sure. If he actually tried in a fight, she had no doubt he'd likely be powerful, but somehow she got the feeling that he'd... just not do it. Regardless, these next few minutes would seem like the longest of her life as she waited to fall into her fate. She wasn't scared though, if anything, such a thought was a thrill to her.


~ The security team were slowly gaining ground, but it wasn't easy to make progress at all. Frida's electrical storm was keeping them at bay with surprising efficiency. Then there was Aiden, whipping around all of them so fast that they could barely touch him. Samuel kept fúcking up and sneezing flaming whatever at them, and Nix had flown sky high. However... this wasn't the first signs of rebellion that STRANGE Academy had ever dealt with. Already waiting on the roof in case of such an event, a team was able to corner Nix and capture him with the use of Rendium - such a powerful tool. Next up was Samuel, he was bought down quickly, but it didn't seem like he was even trying to resist anyway. With them out the way, a team was able to make it close to Frida, and she too was efficiently dispatched with the use of Rendium, although she still resisted to the very end, kicking and screaming and scratching and biting to the point that they had to sedate her by force. With all of them dealt with, the next issue was Aiden. He'd be the biggest problem since Rendium did nothing against him, but with sheer numbers they too were able to overwhelm him, although with a cheeky smirk, the way he acted was like he gave up trying in the end, like he had better things to do. Now it was eerily quiet in the room. No other students spoke, and... there were only two left to find. Security didn't waste anytime and were upon the stage in an instance. In truth, they didn't know where Alice or Anya had vanished, but this team was efficiently trained. They knew how to deal with suck situations. There was no way inside the stage, but if you were a student at STRANGE Academy, that didn't always mean a thing. So the team broke apart Madame Lumia's precious stage and sure enough, again with the use of Rendium, the invisible duo were revealed and easily restrained too. It was over like clockwork. Efficient, and precise, this is how STRANGE Academy was able to keep in control of any situation.~

...All of this roughly took the space of five minutes. It wasn't enough to fully heal, but... because of the time the others had bought, Anya would live again to fight another day.

"Hey, nice robot you got there. It'd be a shame if it got wrecked by one of those lasers. A sarcastic voice came out from one of the 'not LFO's'.
"If there's anyone inside the white and red mecha, can you confirm that you're human? If so, we're on your side." Another voice appeared.
"A mecha?" Renton asked Eureka, confused by what the voice had said.
"Do you think they're talking about Nirvash?"
"Well, we are white and red... Do you think that's what they call their LFO-like things? 'Mecha'."
Eureka stayed silent, unsure of what to say. Renton meanwhile needed to respond to the voice, he had no way to do so though like the other 'mecha' had with some type of external speakers. Nirvash had been adapted to work with headpieces for radio communication, but they didn't have access to the frequency that 'mecha' was using, if it could even do such a thing. Renton had no choice but to dangerously open the cockpit of the Nirvash, and poke his head out. Wind rushed by him as they flew. He had to hope that they would see him.
He held on to Nirvash with one hand and started waving as Eureka took over piloting controls for Nirvash. "We're human!" He called out as they closed the gap, and he hoped that now they'd be able to hear him. "We just ended up here suddenly- In the middle of all those things. We managed to destroy one, but there were too many of them, so we decided to get out of there instead when Nirvash here told us that there were 'others like us'. That's how we found you."
"Renton!" Eureka shouted as a long distance laser narrowly missed them, but the explosion knocked Nirvash free from it's board. Renton nearly went flying from the cockpit, but Eureka had grabbed hold of his leg and Nirvash itself seemed to close the cockpit's hatch to keep him inside. Renton instantly grabbed the controls and started maneuvering the falling Nirvash in mid-air, aiming to make it's fall towards the Ref-board. With a long reach, Nirvash's hand clutched onto the board and flung it under it's feet as it rolled over in mid-air and took control of it's flight again before dropping down near to the others and landing. Renton let out a sigh of relief.
"Are those things going to keep chasing us?"
"I don't know, but I think we should get out of here before we find out."
"There's more! Nirvash says there are others."
"More of those giant things?!"
"No. Like last time. Others coming our way. Others like these guys and us."
Renton was lost about the entire situation here, but these guys they had just found had said they were on their side. Hopefully these 'others' Eureka had just mentioned would be on their side too.

Simone looked at the stone Guy showed them before pulling out her core drill from where it had fallen behind the bandages binding her chest and into the little bit of cleavage she had. It seemed to pulse green in response to being close to the G-Stone Guy was showing them.
Mina had accepted to hold the glowing stone instantly, feeling immense power coming from it. "That is so badass manly awesome. Now imagine if my bravery powered that thing too! The Mighty Kamina is the bravest of all souls!" Then she sheepishly looked at Guy, "Well... uh... Except for you I guess? BUT! I have questions. ...What's an Astronaut? What's a Cyborg? And..." Then there was a bright multi-coloured flash which caught the eye of all three of them, coming from somewhere outside the Dai-Gurren and off in the distance. "What the hell was that, and how come the explosion is so pretty?"
"It really is..." Simone said in awe.
"Simone! Why can't we make explosions like that?"
"I-I... I don't know.."
"Right! If I know me, and I do know me cause I am me! The other me will be having the same thought as me! We're going to go to that explosion and steal it!"
"You're... going to steal an explosion?" Simone said a little skeptically.
"Of course we are! And then we're gonna learn how to make colourful explosions too!"
"But... why? As pretty as they are... why?"
"Just who the hell do you think I am, Simone! Anything that awesome has to be something we can do too! Don't you think?"
"...uh.."
"Off we go! To the big browed chief!"
"Chief Taiga?" Simone asked, trying to make the connection and looking to Guy for clarification before Mina had grabbed hold of her arm and started pulling her away.
"Yes! The big browed chief! Come on, Guy! We have our next objective!"

The torrent of laser fire kept on coming after them, but the Nirvash was quick and nimble, easily able to dodge the oncoming fire and explosions chasing them. These lasers weren't even homing-lasers like they were used to which made them even easier to dodge despite their increased size.
"Come on, Nirvash!" Renton urged the LFO on. He had no idea where they were, why they were here or what these things attacking them even were, but the pounding in his heart kept telling him only one thing; he had to protect the girl next to him. He 'had' to. He 'would'. Nirvash would help him. That's all that was important.
"Renton, Nirvash says there are others coming." Renton looked at Eureka for a few seconds. He still found it amazing that she could communicate with Nirvash so easily. He had no idea how she did it. All he knew was that Eureka was a special girl and that Nirvash was a special LFO.
"Others? More of these things?!"
"No. Others like... us?"
"It's not the Gekko?"
"No. But at least we know we're not the only ones... here."
Renton was disappointed that it wasn't their crew mates, but he still breathed a sigh of relief. They weren't alone in this crazy place. There were other people. "Phew. Right then, I guess we know where we're going next. Don't worry, Eureka. No matter what happens, I won't leave your side. I promise."
"Renton?" Eureka was confused. Somehow him saying that made her feel... warmer and safer? But she had no idea why. Regardless, Nirvash seemed to respond to Renton's thoughts and it's speed somehow increased further, the rainbow trail still lingering behind it as they headed off in a new direction and left the enemies chasing them behind.
It had always been weird. Before Renton, the Nirvash had never responded to anybody else but Eureka. She didn't know what to think of that.
"Look! More LFOs. Nirvash was right."
"Yeah... but... Nirvash says they're not LFOs."
"What? How is that possible? Aside from the fact they're missing Ref-Boards... They... ...What? Really? They're not LFOs?"
"That's what Nirvash says." Eureka told him resolutely.
They were getting closer, and a question was now on Renton's mind. "But then... what are they?" And more importantly... were they friend or foe?
