oh yeah, because it's SO MUCH EASIER and REALLY reliable ordering stuff online. Things never get broken or stolen. It's definitely not insecure to put your money online, and prepaid cards definitely don't have tonnes of fees

... Little King's Story is one of the best games ever made

Xenoblade's VA is solid, it's just hard to get used to the accents. Shulk's VA in particular has great range

Disney worlds aren't towns though. And Disney isn't footing the bill here, they still need to pay individual owners of a lot of assets, never mind, as I said, pay the voice actors.
Disney worlds are not towns. Disney worlds have about 20-40 minutes of cutscenes each. They are self contained stories, sometimes with hints of the main story thrown in. Take out the Disney elements and those stories now focus on a cohesive whole, there's no random Disney story that needs to be fitted in. Again, the Disney worlds arne't side quests, they're not optional, and very much a part of the run times, it's the Disney element that makes them unrelated. It's like the key points in Final Fantasy X. The Mi'hen Highroad might have a separate story from Luca or Zanarkand, but they still focus on the same characters, with the same overarching story. The side quests are things you go out of your way to do. They rarely have many cutscenes or voice acted bits, they're extras for a reason.
It's really not 'easier' to use the premade stuff of a Disney world, if anything it's harder, it involves exacting research, and often scenes haev to be animated and designed in completely different ways to match the movies. They also have to be redesigned to be cohesive with other worlds. It's an insane balancing act
It'd definitely be cheaper. Don't have to pay big name voice actors, you can just go with the usual anime stuff. You don't have to be tied down to making eveyr Dsiney world 'equal' either, so a world could have way more or less story and gameplay. Don't have to research Disney movies and design them perfectly, but cohesively with the other worlds, you can just do original stuff. Not licensing This is Halloween and the like probably helps a bit too

They would have bearing on the plot because it wouldn't be sidetracked by random Disney stuff, and wouldn't be forced to fit inside the constraints of the Disney regulations. For one thing, no, that's not how RPGs work. They give you a bunch of stuff related to the story and world at hand. They don't just go "woop, time for the Desert level! Let's have some unrelated thing happen before we get back to the actual story!"
Kingdom Hearts wouldn't just give as Desert level, Jungle level, etc, either. We'd get stuff more like Hollow Bastion. Well designed stuff with its own back story.
I'm just speaking from experience with Squaresoft, really.
Don't see how you can think it;d be shorter, either. It's not like having to pay way less for expensive voice actors and Disney licenses suddenly means the game has to be way shorter, if anything it'd probably be a bit longer

Never mind te ending, the games drain every bit of dignity or gravitas from the original. 13 was a very grounded game, but come Lightning Returns we have Lightning and Snow Dragon Ball Z fighting and pole dancing. The L'cie thing that was so dramatic in the original is completely trivialized when Snow somehow manages to stop becoming a Cie'th for over five hundred years. The number of repeating character arcs is a bit ridiculous, too. Lightning has to learn to cope with her emotions? In every game? Dajh gets in trouble and Sazh gets depressed? It every game? Vanille has to deal with her guilt? In EVERY GAME?
There isn't even a trace of nuance left in the characters after the first game, they all became exaggerated caricatures

Eh... that's not -true- length, that's just lots of cutscenes and lots of hallways with the same two or three enemy types and maybe a treasure sphere

Eh, Lightning Returns had that for sure, I don't think there was any actual character development in that game, but 13-2 develops Noel and Serah so much 13 WISHES it could keep up. The way you could choose different answers at certain points in the story helped give you all kinds of details on their character

    Not... really
    at all
If all the worlds were original, they'd have the freedom to tell whatever story they want, and make all the parts connected

The custom KH1.5 theme with one of the backgrounds you unlocked from beating a game tended to look pretty nice.
This is crazily lazy though, like it looks like hey literally just pasted the box art on the side

Er... not really? The GBA ports of Mario games added voice and bonus levels, A Link to the Past added voice, a retranslation and altered some of the dungeons. The Ocarina of Time and Wind Waker ports both added a few new features, design changes and graphical upgrades. There's an entire selection of Wii ports of Gamecube games with modified wii remote controls. Metroid Prime collection added achievements, level design changes, graphical upgrades. Mario Allstars pack redid all the music and added stuff to all three Mario games, though that's more of a remake. Even certain Virtual Console games were edited before being released, improving the graphics, fixing small errors, and such.
Seriously don't know where this 'legacy' comes from.
What they do have is a legacy of censorship in the name of remaining child friendly, but that hasn't stopped them from making T rated stuff like Fire Emblem and Kid Icarus Uprising, and that's what Mother would be.

Not that uncensored full translations are actually likely to happen, that's a lot of work for Nintendo with very little chance of it paying off in any meaningful way

It's a later days thing + difficulty level. After day 9 normal enemies get more difficulty, and after day 7 the chapter 1, 2 and 5 bosses get a difficulty boost, plus the chapter 2 boss gets another difficulty boost on day 10.

That'll get you through most things. Poison is as OP as ever, too. Though physical stuff doesn't work on everyone, decent elemenetal coverage is needed too

My issue with the Snow thing is that it severely cheapens the events of FF13, though I'm sure people will disagree, so don't get your hopes too high or low

13-2 destroys 13, I just don't mind because they do it to make the game more fun.

People act like 13 is bad, and that's really not the case, but it makes you wait too long. You should not be able to get through 8/13 chapters using only auto battle and sometimes switching to a healing paradigm
(I'm not sure how anybody could stand platinuming 13 three times... it takes so long)
